Frustrating Experience at Bob Stall Chevrolet I took my 2026 GMC Sierra to Bob Stall Chevrolet for its first service, as they are only 3 miles from my home. Unfortunately, New Issues After Service: To top it off, the check engine light turned on shortly after the service was completed not related, but pretty frustrating. my experience was far from satisfactory. Long Wait and Lack of Acknowledgment: I requested shuttle service but waited over an hour without being acknowledged. During that time, I saw other customers being assisted before me, which was very frustrating. Poor Customer Service: Since GM doesn't provide loaner vehicles even for warranty work, I rented a car for convenience. When my wife tried to arrange for a shuttle to pick up my truck, she encountered rude and inflexible staff. Inflexibility and Excuses: The service advisor told her they couldn't pick her up because she was "too far away," and when she mentioned she was near a car rental place (not the airport), they still refused to help. Instead, she was told it was our problem for not renting from them initially. I was never offered rental service by the advisor when I brought my truck in, which added to our frustration. Overall Experience: The customer service was consistently poor throughout the process. I expected much better treatment, especially given the proximity to my home. I won't be returning to Bob Stall Chevrolet for any future service needs, and I wouldn't recommend them based on this experience. read more

I went in to purchase a specific truck, a Chevy Colorado LT/WT priced at $33.5K. To be clear, this was not my first time purchasing a vehicle. I put $4K down and repeatedly asked to see a full pricing breakdown, including what was being submitted to the bank. The finance manager refused to provide it and continued to give excuses. I ultimately walked away from the deal. Shortly after, I received a letter from GM Financial showing they attempted to finance nearly $41K. That's an additional $6-7K in add-ons, not including taxes and standard fees. None of this was disclosed during the visit. Transparency matters. This situation was disappointing and unnecessary. I ended up purchasing from Mercedes-Benz of Escondido, where the process was clear, direct, and transparent from start to finish. read more

BUYER BEWARE This dealership is a perfect example for why California legislature found it necessary to enact the California CARS Act (SB 766). We were in the market for a used EV and as fate would have it, we found one here. Leslie applied for a Federal tax credit on our behalf and had us sign over the tax credit to the dealership as "downpayment". We would later learn her actions were reckless and done with careless disregard as it turned out we actually never qualified for the tax credit. I went into the dealership this week to see if I could get more information about this egregious error. Mike, the Finance Director, at first seemed helpful and admitted his team should have verified buyer qualification. However, after he spoke to his general manager, he did an about face by telling us the matter was basically our fault and now between us and the IRS. His reason was that since we paid cash the dealership didn't know our level of income. I'm not a rocket scientist, but if I were the seller and a buyer told me they were paying cash, in full on a two year-old vehicle my first thought would probably be; wow they must have really good earnings. Maybe they make too much to qualify for the tax credit. So it's not really a matter they didn't know, it's that they just didn't care. We love the car but we're hugely disappointed with Bob Stall Chevrolet's deceptive process. read more

It was time to take my Corvette in for an oil change, so I scheduled a service visit at Bob Stall Chevrolet. My service technician was Kei - and she was outstanding. She answered all my questions and even managed to squeeze in an adjustment to my passenger window on this visit. I have recently owned a series of expensive German cars and had gotten spoiled by the nice treatment at their service departments. I was prepared for a major step down with this being a Chevy dealership, but this was NOT the case at all. I received nothing but the very best level of service and I was very impressed with the texting communication process that they use. I will be back for future service calls as well. read more

I absolutely do not recommend you come here for issues with your car unless you're fine with them not calling you with updates, being rude and not fixing your cars issues on multiple occasions. If you do end up going here, ask for a different person is ROSE or KEITH are the ones who are "helping" you. Rose talks to you like she absolutely hates her job. I had left multiple messages trying to get some type of update and it took her a week to get back to me. Same with Keith but he never actually called me back. Whomever was the mechanic obviously didn't know what he was doing because the same issue kept happening and I eventually had to take it elsewhere because Bob Stall Chevy couldn't resolve it. My 2007 C6 Corvette is getting a bit long in the tooth, although it has been fantastically reliable and so much fun to drive. So, I ventured out to Bob Stall Chevrolet where I bought my Corvette to try out the new version, which is a redesigned and re-engineered mid-engined vehicle. I was denied a test drive. Despite the fact that I bought my previous Corvette at Bob Stall (after a test drive), and my Corvette was parked in the customer lot, I was denied a test drive. I am a (ahem) mature driver, with an accident-free driving record, and a Credit Rating well into the 800's, but I was not allowed to test drive. The salesman got a little cagey and asked me if I would buy it if I drove it. My reply was simply, I won't buy it if I don't drive it. No wonder the showroom was bulging with unsold Corvettes ! read more

Totally excellent customer service and work all around. My husbands Chevy Malibu went in for service. He was driven home by an excellent young driver. My husband never compliments so he must have been an amazing young man. The mechanic Rudy sent us a video of his inspection. A picture is worth a thousand words. In his video he described and showed numerous leaks. Bushings, radiator coolant, a broken part. We are planning a driving vacation so getting the car repaired to safety was a top priority. Alan in parts was so helpful, even called me back with part shipment info. Mary Jimenez, the service advisor, kept us abreast of all repairs including timeline. Bob Stall Chevrolet is by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. I purchased a car from them back in October and it was nothing but headaches. Not a single person at that dealership knows how to answer their phone or return a call. First off I bought the car and noticed that the rear tire pressure was low so I noted it and they filled it up and assured me that the tires were new. First of all, the tires weren't new and one of the rims had a crack in it which was what was causing the leak. I spoke to the used car manager Medhi and he had me bring it in so they could send the wheel to a local shop to get repaired. News flash it was still leaking after. Leslie in finance is absolutely horrible as a finance rep as well. The amount of times she said she would email me or call me back and never did. Not only did it take till December for my loan to get approved because I just moved and didn't have proof of residency yet, but there was no communication whatsoever. I purchased a warranty through them as well as I bought a used car so I thought it'll be nice for the "peace of mind". I took the car into service for a couple things that I wanted to get checked out. Rose was my advisor. I informed her that I had a surgery coming up and no one else that was close to me knew how to drive manual so I wanted to schedule the appointment a week prior, but her reasoning was "oh I don't feel like doing much that week", so she tried to book me for a couple days prior to my surgery instead. I moved the appointment up to when I wanted and dropped off the car hoping I would get another service advisor but didn't. I called about 2 days later to see what the status of the car was and she said she would call me back but never did. 4 days go by and I notice that my car hadn't been moved or driven since the first day I dropped it off, so I called Rose and asked for an update and she blatantly lied to me and said they were on a drive in it at the moment. At the time I had the onstar connect so I could see exactly how many miles were on the car, location, gas, when it was on, etc. The following day I checked again around 1pm and still nothing, so I called the dealership and spoke to the service manager and told him I would be picking up my car that day and wouldn't be giving them a penny since nothing was done. I went to pick up my vehicle and while I was there went to finance to cancel my warranty because what's the point of having one if the car is just going to sit there and they aren't doing anything to it. I asked for Leslie as she was my finance person and lo and behold she wasn't there as usual. As my sales rep went to see if she was there I was speaking to one of the sales managers and told him everything that went on. He apologized and took me to the finance director so he could help me. After the fact he came back and asked if I would be willing to speak to the GM so he can know what was going on. I went up to speak to the GM and told him everything. I could see by the look on his face he was irritated. He had literally told me "I actually just had a meeting with them and told them that if they don't get it together I can simply replace them with AI cause they don't do their job to begin with." Additionally when it came to Rose he said he's been trying to get more jobs to the other advisors, but she's the owner's sister and has been there for years so his hands are kind of tied. He wrote me a check for half of the price of the new wheels I had to buy out of pocket because of the cracked wheel that they supposedly got fixed. I thought I was done dealing with them so I was satisfied. Nearly 90 days go by. I should have my plates for my car by now right? Wrong. I call asking to speak to Alyssa as she is the one that handles the DMV stuff. I go to voicemail as always. I finally get a hold of her and she says that she'll have an update for me and nothing. I call back the next day and Carol at the front desk is extremely rude. My service was bad so I called back because the call dropped when I finally got a hold of Alyssa and I guess Carol recognized my number because she picked up the phone, waited a second, then slammed it down to hang up. After a long back and forth I finally got my plates 2-3 days after the expiration of my temp tags, which in order to get them they had to call the previous owner of the car to get him to resign a bill of sale and I had to sign a new one as well. Something there didn't seem right. Anyways I thank God that I will never have to deal with anyone at the forsaken dealership again. read more

We are in the market for buying a new truck and have been looking at Chevy models. We've been to three dealers, and the first two were horrible, and made us want to walk away from the Chevy brand. My experience at Bob Stall has changed that. No appointment, just stopped by on the way home from work, I was met by Peter Mascari. No wandering around, no endless banter - he quickly got the keys to the model and trim I was interested in. He covered what was in stock, as well as some alternative trim levels that were available, and a little information about ordering one as a possible option. He covered the details of what I was interested in, some I knew, some I didn't. Things he didn't do: ask 3 trillion questions trying to frame details of a deal, try to pressure to 'buy now', or not listen to what I wanted to know. I approach buying a vehicle as an investment to something we'll spend 5 - 7 years in, and also how I would be treated as an owner in the future. Not transparent at all. 980+ for a lease for a truck, with a bunch of add-ons that I didn't ask for or want, very rude overall.
