I've been through 3 service providers that could never fix my truck. They always had reason like man power, parts, etc. it was a complete joke. Kallie had my truck less than 24 hours and already had the truck figured out and scheduled for repairs. Communication is great!! Highly recommend her if you need service. I brought my vehicle to Sedano Ford after already dealing with excessive delays at another Ford dealership, hoping for a more professional and efficient experience. Unfortunately, this turned out to be significantly worse. My car was in their possession from February 2nd through March 24th. Over that nearly two-month period, communication was inconsistent, timelines were repeatedly missed, and I was given little to no clear updates on the actual status of the repair. I had to follow up constantly, and even then, the information provided was vague or changed frequently. I worked directly with service manager Alton Jones during this process, and despite that, the level of coordination and accountability never improved. There was no clear ownership of the situation, and I was left in the dark far more than I should have been. What's most unacceptable is the condition my vehicle was returned in. It came back with black residue inside, along with visible dents and paint damage that were not present when I dropped it off. After waiting that long, the expectation is that at minimum the vehicle would be returned in equal or better condition, not worse. Between the excessive delays, poor communication, lack of accountability, and the physical damage to my vehicle, this experience fell far below any reasonable standard of service. I would strongly caution others before trusting Sedano Ford with their vehicle. read more

We visited the Sedano Ford in la Mesa, CA lot on Sunday, 9/21/25 with the intention of just looking at Super Duty trucks. We were well informed about Ford packages, pricing, and had 3 vehicles to specifically view. Shortly after arriving we were genuinely greeted by Anthony V. He asked the right questions to find out our needs early on and respected our prior knowledge of Ford products. While showing us the requested vehicles, Anthony presented 2 more that were similarly equipped. His knowledge and comparisons of the vehicles soon let us know that he was vested in our search, and he was focused on the best value that would meet our needs. He provided opportunity for test drives and on the drives he provided comprehensive answers to technical questions too. Once we located 5 possible matches to our needs, Anthony respectfully gave us a lot of time to compare values and to whittle our choices to 3. He provided opportunities for us to visually review each of the 3 vehicle window sticker print outs side by side, and then to physically revisit each vehicle. Anthony was very helpful in answering function, performance, and package questions. In the end, his quiet professionalism helped us to select the best value that met our overall needs. The rest of the team that processed or reviewed our offer (Sal and Roman), were also very professional and we were quite satisfied with the price presented for our purchase. Even though it was a cash purchase, by California law, the documentation did take quite awhile, but the continuous offer of coffee and easy, friendly conversation ensured that we remained comfortable. Overall, we felt no buyers remorse after our appreciable purchase because of the benefits and values that the Sedano Ford team ensured we received in the buying process. I bought a new 2026 Ford Explorer on April 1, When I got on the freeway I heard a loud windy noise coming from the sunroof. And it does not open! The faster I went the louder it got. I could not talk on the phone because I could not hear. The second problem was horrific. When I got on the freeway for the first time, my side mirrors were closed against the car. I could not change lanes. Busy part of the freeway in downtown SD. A repair man came to my house and he found out that the default setting was not on to auto open and close mirrors when driving. Lastly my car has been in repair 5 days already...and unknown when part will arrive, The bottom line is the sales dept. was HORRIBLE. The service was awesome. I regret buying this car. read more

The absolute worst car buying experience ever. Was shopping for a Bronco Raptor and found one I liked here. Initially could not come anywhere close to a deal on the first visit so left and traded texts with the sales person for a few days and then asked what a lease would look like in lieu of a purchase? The initial response from him was a lease would be the same cost per month as a purchase $1,500 per month. That was a fat no! A couple days later I get another text saying they could do a 39 month lease for $900 a month, so I decide to pull the trigger. I get into finance to sign the paperwork and the documents they are asking me to sign do not show any cost numbers on it and they couldn't tell me the interest rate on the lease, First red flag. After requesting and finally getting to see the numbers they show a residual payment at the end of the lease of around $65K. The agreed upon price of the vehicle with my trade and all fees was around $78K. This means that at the end of 39 payments at $900 per month the amount paid would be around $35K and I would still owe another $65K. This $78K vehicle is now costing me $110K plus my trade they were giving me $18K for makes it now a $128K vehicle. As soon as I questioned the finance person on these numbers she immediately left the office saying she needed to speak to her supervisor and that this was a software issue. After she left the salesperson and the sales manager come in and start negotiating a new deal with me. I end up buying the vehicle but I financed it and then paid it off in full when I got the first bill because of the crappy interest rate they gave me. I still regret not just walking away because of the shady deal they were trying to get me to sign off on and just overall shady operation. Be very, very careful if you buy a car here when you get into the finance office and are asked to sign paperwork on an iPad that does not show any cost numbers. I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the Sedano Ford service department. My engine replacement under extended warranty took three months, and when I finally got the car back, it was filthy and smelled terrible. While they did pay for a detail, the mechanical issues were worse. I recently took the car back because it was idling roughly. After a few days, they told me it was just low on oil. When I insisted they keep looking, they tried to charge me $750 for spark plugs and coils. I took it to my local mechanic for a second opinion, and he found a cracked turbo vacuum hose held together by a zip tie. This hose had to be moved during the engine replacement; clearly, they broke it and tried a "quick fix" instead of replacing it. Sedano missed this entirely during their diagnostic and tried to sell me unnecessary parts. The Head of Service eventually covered the repair after I emailed him, but I shouldn't have to go to an outside mechanic to find mistakes they caused and then missed. I won't be returning. read more

Shopping for a used car and found one here at Sedano Ford, boy, what a mistake that I shall forever regret. Seemed great initially, went through the motions, 2019 Hyundai Elantra, drove it home, engine light came on, I call them the next morning (Sunday) and here is where the endless lack of professionalism begins..........person in service asks if I have a warranty and I say I just drove the car home and they say that I will have to pay for repairs.......REALLY??!! I JUST drove the car off of the lot!!!! It only gets worse! I call Sal, the clueless sales manager, who asks if I can bring it in on Tuesday, and I agree. Tuesday comes and he calls and says it is "inconvenient" for him as it is "his" day off and can I bring it in Wednesday instead..........I agree. I show up, he meets me and takes the car. I wait in the show room, TWO hours pass without a word, I message him and he says they have to keep the car! How nice to JUST now let me know as I sit here on my day off! Meanwhile, no one has even offered me so much as a bottle of water. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I have to ask if I can get a ride home (it is NOT offered!) and I am told to be patient and they will get back to me! I wait twenty more minutes and get a message that a ride is coming and then wait an additional half hour and my original salesman shows up and casually says, "You ready Mr. Chris?" Never an apology or anything! Astonishing! Days pass and Mr. Sal messages me and says "We need to talk.." He calls after THREE days and tells me that the car needs an oxygen sensor..........really? And it took THREE days to call me to tell me THIS? And THEN he tells me that they need to keep another week! I am gobsmacked! I am speechless and he has this way about him that is so fake and soothing and I initially fell for it and said OK, but right after the call ended, I messaged him and said that nothing at all seemed ok and that I wanted to end the contract and that I did NOT WANT THE CAR BACK!!! And then, I emailed the woman in finance, Irene, the only email contact I had, and told her everything that was going on, and no surprise, she knew nothing that was going on. When she found out, she called me and assured me that she would assist me in ending the contract and getting my money back. Clearly there is NO transparency practiced in this company and I was shocked that she had no idea what was going on. Meanwhile, I had consulted an attorney...........here is what is REALLY interesting, and reveals how TRULY dishonest Sedano Ford REALLY IS!!! I really loved the car, wanted it fixed and wanted it back, and was waiting and waiting to hear that it was ready for pick up, to no avail..............so, after not hearing anything from Sedano service, the attorney advised me to call service and ask what was going on, so I did.............WOW! I called and service had NO SERVICE RECORD OF MY CAR WHATSOEVER!!!!! It is like my car had simply vanished!!!!!! Talk about duplicity at it's absolute finest!!!!!! Update to my previous review: Sali S. responded to my concerns asking to be contacted at her email address. I reached out shortly after reading her comment. I have yet to receive any response or acknowledgement of my concerns. At least Sedano Ford is consistent. Sedano contacts you via text to update you and let you know when service is complete. They also text to inform you of a survey that will be coming and to let them know if you have any concerns prior to filing it out. The texts explicitly state that responding will reach the service advisor you were dealing with. I responded to these to inform them of the concerns I had with the service. I haven't had any further communication from them, even after reaching out several times. Please consider going elsewhere if you expect anything close to adequate interactions with service staff. read more

I'm in the market for a truck or truck-like vehicle to supplement my Corvette. I'd heard a lot of good things about the new Ford Maverick truck (ironic, since I previously owned a 1970 Maverick coupe), and decided to visit Sedona Ford after attending the La Mesa car show. I've found that driving up in a red Corvette will always get prompt action from the new car sales staff. No exception at Sedona. Dominic came right out to greet me, and introduce himself, complimenting my car. A great sales technique, for sure! After a suprisingly negative visit to Bob Stall Chevrolet when I had impulsively decided to purchase a new Corvette (I bought my previous Vette there), but incredibly was denied a test drive, I decided to keep my current C6 and purchase a more homeowner-friendly vehicle. The new Maverick came to mind. Honda Ridgeline is also interesting. Although I admitted I was still in the 'looky-loo' stage, I was treated repectfully as a potential buyer. If I decide on the Maverick, which is a great vehicle, I will certainly return to Sedano Ford to negotiate the purchase. read more

My service advisor was Mr. McFarlane (Aidan), and I was surprised by how genuine his concern for my issues was. Usually, you can tell someone cares through their voice or body language, but he was consistently available to answer any questions I had, even while handling many other responsibilities. My case was also a bit complicated, but it was managed professionally and exceeded expectations. I honestly was going to give up on Ford, but after this experience, I don't think I could find anything better. It's so hard to find people who show they care by being themselves. His partner was helpful too when Aidan stepped away from his desk--great team. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. McFarlane has already been named employee of the month in the past. Story time. On 5/31/25, we went to Sedano Ford to purchase a car and trade in our Toyota. As we're having initial conversations, the salesman goes outside with a manager (who we have not talked to) to take pictures and inspect our car. Salesman comes back in and discusses how much they'll sell a car for, how much they can offer us for our car, etc. As he's talking, he stops abruptly to look outside over my partner's shoulder, we look over and we see our car rolling through the parking lot and then watch it crash into two new Ford Broncos. My partner and I start laughing and sit there in disbelief at what just happened as a handful of employees go outside to inspect the situation. We knew these guys were now panicking and that they desperately wanted to make a deal work. Our salesman went back and forth still trying to negotiate with us. We weren't being unreasonable at all, especially under the circumstances. We just wanted to get the number down to what we were asking for before this even happened. We were being told about how the dealership needed to make some money off this deal, but when have you caused a car accident and made a profit? While the salesman is talking/distracting us, other employees go to relocate the two Broncos that were damaged. This was very shady of them because I made it clear that if we can't make a deal, I wanted to file an accident report. I was pretty upset as the situation went on but my partner was content on the offer given. Sure, we took the deal even though we didn't get what we asked for originally before the accident, and Sedano Ford was let off too easy.  During this whole situation, we were only talking to our salesman. Not once did the manager who caused the accident or any other manager come over to acknowledge or apologize for what just happened. To me, this is just very unprofessional and disrespectful. And this is the sole reason for my review, not even for the fact that they didn't even give us the deal we asked for.  Since the deal happened and we traded our car in, we didn't file an accident / police report but we suspect that they will NOT report that the two Broncos were in an accident. The damages were most likely cosmetic, but still. So I guess this is another reason for my review, if you are looking to purchase a Broncos from this dealership, I would just verify that it has not been in a parking lot accident.  They probably took a sigh of relief when we drove off the lot because it could've been a lot worse for them. The accident happened and no one got hurt. My issue was with how management dealt with it afterwards, or in other words, didn't deal with it. read more

SEDANO FORD SOLD ME A BRAND NEW CAR AWARE THAT IT HAD POBLEMS! I hate to follow up a 5 star review for the service department (they are awesome) but I have been informed by that same service department that Sedano Ford was AWARE of the electrical/connectivity issues with my brand new 2024 Ford Bronco when they sold it to me. The screen goes black in the middle of a call, no key detected warning constantly & issues making & receiving calls are just some of the problems I continue to have. In one year this car has been in service over 10 times for the same issue only to be told, "Ford has been aware of the problem with no fix". I contacted Ford directly & I have been told to buy an extended warranty at my cost to continue to addressed their problem??? I would never buy another car for these people again! read more

I am not sure they want to improve. We live in the Mesa and tried to buy a Ford local. They could not have made the experience more difficult. . We made an appointment to see a specific vehicle. We showed up on time. The vehicle wasn't ready. It was out of gas. I had to drive it to the gas station and the salesman put three dollars in the tank. We could actually go on a 7 mile test drive. And then when I pulled into the dealership when we parked in front, the salesman wanted to take it and park it. I should know I'd really like to look at the whole thing. So, we had three visits to the dealership and we weren't treated very well at all. And, for the record I did reach out to the sales manager. Again, Aiden, a service advisor at Sedano Ford in La Mesa, has provided outstanding service. I recently brought my 2023 Escape in for a routine oil change and to have the transmission control assembly checked. Aiden is very articulate, explains things clearly and doesn't try to "up sell" me. When I made my appointment, Aiden offered to have their delivery and pickup service bring my vehicle to the dealership. I didn't need that option for this appointment, but Aiden arranged for Lyft rides to and from a nearby restaurant so I didn't need to wait at Sedano Ford while the service was being performed. My salesman Jarot was fantastic. He really knew the vehicle. However,, the sales manager was horrible. He gave me bad information on the phone saying I would get the Jeep conquest rebate (he said he looked it up and I qualified). Then, after an hour and a half of being there, said I didn't qualify. I almost walked, but decided to go through with the deal and we shook on it - with final cost written out and on the table. Another hour later, he came back with a NEW contract, saying that I also had to pay for dealer add ons which we already had agreed both by phone and in person (remember the handshake??) I would not be responsible for. I'd been there for about three hours when he basically told me I could walk if I wanted to! I have a high stress job and I can't remember being this angry in at least a decade. Shame on me for buying the vehicle from them as they did not deserve my business (ultimately I did not pay for those additional dealer installed items but he sweated me hard for 30 min!). Indeed, if it weren't for the very reasonable and fair salesman, I would have left. I get the good cop bad cop game but this was next level deceit. That sales manager is manipulative and full of it! I took a picture of the window sticker and reached out to Ken Grody Ford, they said on that same truck there is 10k in rebates. I emailed the Owner of Sedano Ford, and he pawns me off to the sales manager who Ghosted me after one email. Dont do business here, if you want a Ford, go to Ken Grody. Ended up buying my F150 from there. They are transparent and work with you before you even get there. This place is a scam. read more

So there is a recall on a transmission sensor and I bring my 2014 Focus in, since it shudders sometimes when I change gears, to see if that's the problem. The ~$300 diagnosis says it isn't, but they say that I have a failing clutch that will cost $5000+ to fix. That's basically what the car is worth and I tell the mechanic I'll live with it and he wishes me, seemingly sincerely, good luck. My 100,000 mile checkup is due a few months later so I take it to a trusted local mechanic, mentioning the supposed clutch issue. I get the car back two days later working fine. The problem was not the clutch, but with a motor mount. Its failure caused other problems so the bill was $750ish. But the car's running great now. Sedona Ford had another name a couple of years ago (I forget what it was) but I always got great service then. Now.... Not so much. read more

Back to follow up on outcome: We took the car to Kearny Mesa Ford after all of this run around and guess what? They didn't schedule us until they had the parts, AND the recall work was done in 6 hours. They also provided a rental car. Something Sedano has NEVER offered. I drove my car into Dealership to fix my tire or change it to spare, I had many problems with the Service Advisor trying to Sell me a new tire even though they didn't have one to match and they told me my Tire could not be repaired, I told the Service Advisor to just put on the Spare, I drove my car to another dealer and they repaired the Tire.
