Menu very good. Love the soups. Not a lot of seating, but great for takeout. Great service.

When I arrived, two…read morecustomers who had already paid ended up leaving without their food because the wait was so long, which wasn't a great sign. I waited about 45 minutes for a plate with roasted chicken thighs, rice, salad, and hummus with pita. Which I would normally think would be super quick to plate and get out. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely over-salted (I had to remove the skin), the rice was mushy, the salad had no dressing, and the hummus had a very odd, overly smooth texture that was off-putting. I ate one piece of chicken and couldn't finish the rest. I hate writing negative reviews, especially for local businesses, but the wait just wasn't worth it.

It's kind of dark on the inside and when we first came in, it didn't really look like anyone worked there. It's a pretty good sized space and they easily accommodated our group of 9 without prior reservations. The interior is clean, but has a divey feel to it. The servers were pretty pleasant - no complaints there. So the menu... it's a lot. So many different options, but it's difficult to understand the theme of the restaurant. It's just all very confusing. OK so they have Boba which is Japanese, and then kind of keeping with that theme, they have different fried rice plates... but then they also have quesadillas... club sandwiches... there's no theme. I ordered a Lavender Milk Tea and built my own quesadilla with chicken, bacon, green chile and beans... but the star of it all was the sweet potato fries as my side. Will I eagerly try to go back? Maybe not, but if I had to, I would.

Food service was fairly slow but this was our only real gripe. The food was excellent and a really pleasant surprise. We tried both the Greek and Lebanese combo plates. The meats were all fantastic and well cooked, not overcooked or poor quality. We loved how many options there were to choose from. The seasoned rice was also really good. The portions were good for the price and we all left full and happy. I'd happily come back if in the area again or if I lived nearby. I'd expect it's a great place to get takeout from as well. There was parking outfront but the strip mall it's in was busy so difficult to get a spot up close during dinner time. However plenty of spaces a few stores down if you can walk a bit.

The ambiance mostly fits that idea, but at the same time it feels a little unsure of what it wants to be. Parts of it feel upscale, while other parts feel casual, making the overall atmosphere a bit all over the place rather than one clear theme. I ordered the Belgian waffle, which was honestly the highlight of the meal--soft, warm, and delicious. The scrambled eggs were also good, cooked well and flavorful. Unfortunately, the turkey sausage tasted like it had been frozen and quickly reheated on the pan, which took away from the plate. And while the eggs themselves were fine, the water served tasted noticeably off, almost like water from a garden hose, which was disappointing. The service was okay overall, but it felt slightly rushed. We were given the check before we had finished and before ordering another round of drinks, which made the experience feel cut short. Sunset Grill has some good elements, especially with the food when it's done right, but the experience could be improved with more consistency in ambiance, better attention to details, and a more relaxed service pace.
