As the name suggests, this place serves chicken teriyaki. Not too pricey, not amazing, just serviceable food that will satisfy you.

Given the fact that Las Cruces is a predominantly Hispanic city, I had eaten amazing Mexican three days in a row and was in the mood for a change. I wanted to eat something clean, so I opted for Teriyaki Chicken House. While things were solid, they weren't quite what I had hoped for. I got the chicken teriyaki/sweet and sour chicken combo with fried rice and extra veggies to go. They put the sauce on the side, but do have bottles in the restaurant that you can pour extra sauce on the food. The food was fine, but not spectacular by any means. The sweet and sour chicken was really good. You could tell that it was hand breaded and not the prepackaged frozen stuff that most spots give you. The chicken teriyaki was just ok. The vegetables were just steamed carrots and broccoli. The fried rice contained no veggies. With limited Asian options in Las Cruces, I may give it one more shot the next time I'm in town if I'm in the mood for a clean meal. (PS, I had taken a few bites before I took photo.) read more

Everytime I've grabbed lunch here it is always delicious, never have had a bad experience and staff is very friendly.

My husband and I were excited to try the chicken. This was our first time at this chicken place. I ordered one double chicken plate, and one chicken and fried shrimp, and one order of egg rolls. I really couldn't understand the Asian lady taking the order at the register. She seemed nice though. The place looked like an old Taco Bell and a little dirty looking inside. The chicken was dryish, but had good flavor. The shrimp was heavily breaded, not tasty. Veggie egg rolls were good. There was a lady eating there while we were there. When she finished eating she got up and threw her stuff in the trash then let out a big belch which was disgusting and rude. Well, this belching lady worked there lol. She threw out the trash bag then I don't know if she washed her hands after. She then was filling several little small plastic cups with teriyaki sauce. She also was coughing too and touching the little containers putting her thumb inside. WTF?? I will not go back to that dirty place. read more

It's an old Pizza Hut I think that's been reclaimed and chugs out some yummy teriyaki. It's our winter go to for a good lunch. We get the small chicken box and although the price went up (what hasn't) the quality stayed great. Nice folks running it too. read more

My daughter and I were going to try this place a few weeks back. They were super busy (that is always a good sign) but we did not have the time to wait we were in a hurry. I decided to give it a try by myself a few days ago. I ordered General Tsos chicken and then teriyaki chicken. I got it to go. When I brought it home and opened it, it looked like nothing special. My heart sank and I thought to myself " Just another bad take out dinner " Boy was I wrong ! I really enjoyed both of them. They were very flavorful and the chicken was moist and juicy. Healthy food ! I guess if you're into bodybuilding or dieting or have issues with spicy food then you might want to consider TCH however my visit will be a one and done. First thing the food tastes bland and I could steam everything in 3 minutes at home and hold back on any form of seasoning to replicate what they're offering.second since the facility doing the steaming is a 1960's era Taco Bell that looks like it should be shutdown and professionally cleaned and remodeled, I know this review sounds harsh but I have 50 years in this industry so save your money for food worth going out for. read more

Don't let the outside fool you, try it. Glad I did. Went to the drive thru, ordered General Tso Chicken which is a large zippy portion with the right amount of breading and sauce. Ordered Teriyaki Chicken Box (sm), it was flavorful and cooked perfectly with that little bit of char you want on it. You get the teriyaki sauce on the side. The veggies on both had a little crunch which was good. Not fond of overcooked vegetables. Didn't see the green chili cream cheese wontons on the menu I'd read about from other Yelpers but I asked and was rewarded with a yes. There are 3 to an order each with a large amount of filling that is a pleasantly creamy mild green chili flavor with a few green chili bits. The staff was smiling and friendly. My total was 17.91 and Gumby gives this a thumbs up. read more

This hole in the wall restaurant located on the run down side of Las Cruces is a gem and a must try for anyone in the Las Cruces area. Their food is decently priced and very flavorful as well as decently healthy. Everything I've tried has been great especially the green chile wontons! The owners are truly authentic and very sweet. I recommend checking this place out, it might become your new weeknight staple! They are now taking credit cards. Driving thru town and looking for a place to eat. Refused to eat at McDonald's, so I found this place on Yelp. About 5 min drive from i10. Mom and pop and the outside looks a little run down. It's not the best teriyaki chicken I've had but for a pit stop through New Mexico, I've had much much worst. Probably deserves 3.5 stars but i like to support local business. Weird thing is that this guy(owner) doesn't take card so not only does he not pay merchant fees but also has an atm machine inside so he can charge people a fee to withdrawal money...smart??? read more

Located in an building that was previously an old school Taco Bell, this place seems to be a local gem. Everytime I pass by, there's a good amount of patrons in the drive thru and inside. Be sure to bring cash...no ATM/CC cards. We found this out the hard way and they were very understanding with us. This place has quick service. The food was great...and fresh.... It's not presented in anyway like microwavable food. The #1 Combo, Teriyaki chicken over rice with broccoli and carrots was pretty yummy for drive thru cuisine. The item that impressed me most: Green Chile Tempura...... I've never had a chile in tempura before....I would go back just for this. When I moved here I was in shock at how few teriyaki joints there are. On a recommendation of a friend, we tried the Teriyaki Chicken House, and were glad for some descent teriyaki. You'll have to get over the outside of the building, as it is not inviting at all and semi "you'll get food poisoning here" allure. However, the food inside has been pretty good and consistent. I haven't tried many items on the menu, just your usual chicken and beef teriyaki, but it has been very yummy. I'll definitely eat here again, and it has become my go-to for teriyaki. read more

We found this place on a road trip to Texas. The chicken rice platters were delicious. There could have been more veggies but the chicken was tasty and the sauce was good. They only take cash or cheque, which is a bummer, but inside is an ATM. The staff were very friendly and took our cheque even though it was out of state. The Teriyaki Chicken House is a fast food type order at the counter place, but the food is a step up from what you might expect. The Oriental woman managing the place keeps a close eye on things. The restaurant is bright and clean, the food prepared quickly, and it is generally fresh and pretty tasty. Rice bowls with meat or shrimp and veggies predominate. Rude service. The women taking orders was mad at us for the car before us taking our order. Took forever to remake our order, which I understood, but when it came time to pay she took the anger out on us and slammed window while we were giving her change. I came here for during a road trip from TX to CA. I specialize is not going into "Asian" restaurants in areas with a small Asian population but WOW! this place was cheap and good! They only take cash but then I guess that is how they keep prices low. The food was hot and fresh, the meat and veggies were all very tasty!
