This is a great stop while traveling. Warm, welcoming, beautiful rooms and outdoor patio. Outdoor there are airy large tables with umbrellas. We love the art, tasty food, warm welcome here. The pesto panini , spicy Posole soup, enchiladas with beans, salad and Spanish rice... All are fantastic. So glad we visited. This is perfect relaxation spot. Come and enjoy! read more

What strange little place! I moved to the area at the beginning of 2025. I had not been here so I thought I would share my money and support local business. Not a good idea. I walked in, there was an empty table by the door and two in the back. The waiter and the cook were very kind and welcoming. However, the owner was at the counter and instantly acted like my presence was an inconvenience to her. She said it would be a moment, she needed to see if there was a table available. I replied, of course, no worries. She never even looked at me or said another word. The young man waiting tables took me to a four top in the back. (Yes, I was in the restaurant industry in Portland, Oregon, for thirty years as a fine dining Chef.) I told the young man I just wanted coffee and didn't want to take up that much space as the owner already made me feel unwelcome. He was very kind, however, I ended up leaving because the owner was so cold and standoffish it was uncomfortable staying. Good gravy, the attitude of gratitude is not here. Therefore, I would recommend this business nor will I ever return. So sad, I really wanted this to be my new coffee shop. It looks cute on the outside, the waiter and cook were very nice, the owner-attitude and rude. read more

Delicious breakfast and lunches. I'm allergic to eggs so I was delighted to see they carry a vegan ranchero option. The little patio outside is pleasant in good weather. There's also a small shop with various handmade and imported items, including punched tin statues and paintings by local artists on the walls, many for sale. Also a small book section. I've never had a bad meal there, and it's a favorite spot for friends to meet. read more

Service was a bit slow, but they were busy. Lovely atmosphere inside and out. Inside is decorated with a lot of polish pottery, and owner is very knowledgeable about it and loves to share her passion. At the tables outside you can hear each other, and difficult to overhear other patrons. Inside is a bit noisier. Dogs allowed outside. Food was good, large entrees. Came her for lunch. This place seems like it would be amazing for a day time date. It's charming and intimate. Also good for "special" parent-child outings or catching up with an old friend. read more

Comfortable colorful ambiance. The attentive owner has great taste- in both artwork and in the preparation of tasty meals. We will gladly come back. First time visit to this restaurant and not likely to return. Hardly anyone there and the owner was extremely inattentive. Never asked if we wanted something besides the water she brought when we sat down. Then after one of us had to flag her down and request a drink she just left and never asked the rest of the table if they wanted something as well. Never checked in to see how the meal was going. Never came back with the check so we just went towards the exit and then she saw us and took payment. The menu looks really good, but our food was mediocre as well. Only positive is it is adorable outside and in. VERY disappointing experience. :( read more

What a great little secret right on Avienda de Mesilla. There is seating inside and a patio. The staff is very accommodating for larger groups. The New Mexico touch on the Monte Cristo (green Chile) is an amazing touch! The breakfast burrito Christmas style(red and green) was very delicious and filling. Huevos Rancheros... well the plates were licked clean. I am just saying thAt everything our group ordered was a hit and there were ten of us. The meals all came out about the same time and the service was incredible. The patio is fur baby friendly... that is why chose this spot...just a truly relaxing and enjoyable Sunday brunch spot! Only open for lunch and breakfast, for now. read more

We stopped in for coffee and we fell in love with this fantastic cafe. The coffee is wonderful. I ordered the Mexican hot chocolate and added coffee to it on the recommendation of the Barista. Delicious! We ordered two freshly made tamales (one pork with red sauce and one with cheese). Both tamales were absolutely delicious. Just enough spice. The courtyard out back is peaceful and beautiful. Definitely a place to recommend and stop in if you are going to visit Mesilla. read more

Such an adorable place and an authentic feel! Its a pueblo looking building with statues that decorate the doorstep and other delicacies that make it for a good photo spot too. My friends and I went during brunch time, so we got breakfast menus. I got a huge breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, and bacon with verde sauce! It was plenty to fill my hungry tummy and did I mention it was delicious. The lady who owns it sweet and is willing to make travel destination recommendations for visitors like myself. 50/10 would go again if I have another chance to visit New Mexico!! read more

Joyce was awesome and welcoming from the moment we walked in! I'm vegan so I was ecstatic to see vegan options on the menu. The vegan rancheros with Hot Tomatillo sauce was so good for breakfast. I was happily full and stayed full until dinner. My girlfriend had the vegetarian omelette and daughter had enchiladas. We loved all the paintings, decorations and Mexican art she sold. Went to Cafe De Masilla for breakfast on a Saturday. They had a steady flow of customers but it wasn't so crowded that we couldn't find a place to sit. They have a beautiful outside eating area as well as inside dining. The huevos rancheros were fantastic. The breakfast burrito was equally good. Hands down the worst food. Bland!! Flavorless. Chicken tasted like it came from a bag of boiled chicken. The cheese was sour too. I asked for some more coffee and she brought out a carafe. It was lukewarm. Definitely not going back. My friend ordered the Mediterranean Salad with chicken. Needless to say, it was the same bag of boiled chicken with no flavor sprinkled all over the salad. Four of us drove to Mesilla this morning for breakfast. We placed our orders and found a table to wait for our breakfast. We had a choice of Ginger/Peach tea or regular. My wife had the breakfast quesadilla and I had the build your own omelet, smothered in green chile. Both of our meals were delicious. We ended our meal by sharing an apricot croissant and an apple strudel. We will be returning to check out their lunch menu. read more

We are stuck in Las Cruces while our car gets fixed, but what a lovely place to be stuck. The owner of this cafe is so kind and attentive. I can't even explain how good the eggs and green chile breakfast sandwich is on sourdough -- definitely get it! I ordered it without the meat and didn't miss it in the slightest. I also got a refillable cup of coffee and sat in one of the big comfy armchairs to work. Gorgeous decor, books to flip through, art on the walls. I was excited to see vegan options on the menu. Unfortunately, both the edgey veggie wrap and the vegan burrito missed the mark. The veggie burrito was very bland. The veggie wrap was just salad mix in a tortilla. According to the menu it had hummus, but I could not taste it. Something as simple as a side of salsa with these dishes would have helped immensely. Mesilla is not where you go for bland food. read more

This is a cute little place. We sat outdoors because we brought our dog to join us for lunch. Big thumbs up that this place is dog friendly! Our waitress was nice but seemed a little bothered about something. I don't know if it had anything to do with us or not. I ordered the Thanksgiving Sandwich which was okay. If the stuffing had a bit more flavor it without a doubt would have been DELICIOUS. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would return again to try other menu items. read more

This is an update to my originally misplaced review. We visited and drove from Las Cruces centre to check this place out because there was a Vegan burrito on the menu. Both my husband and I are vegans. Cute spot from the exterior, cute on the inside. Great pastry selection....we ordered the only straight up vegan item on the menu. It was busy so service was slow but we weren't in a rush. I have to say that while everyone was friendly, it was really not the greatest for vegan eats. Hubs took 2 pastries which were good, coffee was good but as far as being VEGAN (we cannot speak for meat dishes) this place wasn't on point. I found a few chunks of ground meat that must've snuck into the burrito somehow, I didn't complain as it was too busy to get recognition but I didn't finish the meal either. Really wanted to love the place, you should try it out if you eat animal products to make your own decisions. read more

My wife and I have eaten here a number of times. I had the Red Chili Pork Colorado twice and highly recommend it. Excellent taste and plenty of food. Sides were also delish. I also had Juevos rancheros which was also very good. My wife loves the eggs Benedict and chicken salad. Cappuccino was good but small. Hot tea is a great brand and very tasty. read more

This is our absolute favorite place to go for brunch in the area. The food is incredibly good across the board (across the menu?) The coffee drinks are incredibly good. Worth the trip there for a vanilla latte alone. And all of that with nice indoor and outdoor seating options and friendly service. 10/10 recommend read more

The outdoor area is really attractive and pleasant, has plenty of seating and shade with umbrellas and a canopy. I had the Mean Joe Green burrito which is big enough for two meals, husband had tacos, both washed down with intriguingly flavored Italian sodas. Everything was really, really good. Plan on going back to check out the coffeehouse part of the menu. Can definitely recommend! read more

Established in 2011.

The restaurant began as a small coffee shop off of the Historic Mesilla Plaza in 2011. In April of 2015, the owner moved to a new location just minutes away from the Plaza on Old Highway 28 (Avenida de Mesilla). The new location has plenty of parking and customers can park and walk easily to the Plaza avoiding the parking difficulties associated with the Plaza Square. There is a large outdoor patio which is very welcoming to children and pets. Many travelers delight in the colorful break in their journey as their children fish for magnet fish in the small pond. Breakfast is served all day along with a South Western Lunch Menu. Both the Red and Green Hatch Chili Sauces are offered Gluten Free and Vegan. The gift shop is full of interesting locally made crafts and Art work as well as a wide selection of Polish Pottery.

This was the first we tried here and what brought us back for more. -Mancha Manteles mole: This mole is described on their menu as: "Sweet pineapple, red apples, fried plantain and a wonderful choice of spices make this mole a great and unique experience". This mole like their other ones came out piping hot, creamy, thick, complex and delicious. -Mole Negro: Chichilo pepper and tomatillo mole sauce with a smoky taste and a hint of ash. -Mole Verde o Pipian. Toasted pumpkin seeds and tomatillo mole sauce with a hint of hoja santa (root beer plant) My husband and I get their enmoladas stuffed with vegetables and get double serving of the black beans (rice has chicken stock so we avoid it to keep the meal vegan/ vegetarian). The plates are always piping hot and soooo yummy. When they have all four moles available they offer a sampler as well. We did this on our last visit and it was fun to revisit the 4 moles we had their side by side and compare them. I really love the ambiance out on the peaceful patio and there's cover form the sun. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I had the vegetarian breakfast, which comes with ratatouille, tomatoes, and half an avocado. They also offered a GF bread option (yay). My partner had an omelette. All the food was good, as was the service. They likely shine at pastries, which I cannot have due to the gluten. We'd stop again when in town.
