    Pad Kee Mao
    Alan Z.

Stopped by for lunch and it was okay. Got the pad kee mao. Portion size was really large but it was a little lacking in flavor. But I'm pretty okay with lighter food. I think it's possible that it was because I ordered mild so I would recommended getting not mild for the pad kee mao. Lots of veggies along with meat though

To-go order Apologies for the weak image ... food was terrific

Nice people in a tough location Food is terrific and worth the trip! We enjoyed drunken noodles, green curry with chicken and veggies, square spring rolls We'll Visit again soon. Large portions Great tasting with fresh ingredients Fair prices Go Visit - they deserve your business for sure!!! Note: Yelp Mapping is incorrect. Heading TO White Sands you'll find the restaurant on your left side.

Service was good but seemed a little understaffed, the restaurant is very cute and worth the drive. The ambiance is great, though the music was a little weird- like early 2000s pop. The food was excellent, good spice and flavor. The fried dumplings had a lot of oil on them and could have been allowed to drain for a little longer. But they still tasted good.

Get your times right management! What a waste of time!

What a disappointment! Looked this restaurant up on Yelp and wanted to give it a try so we drove up from Las Cruces making an effort to try it out. Yelp says open til 2:00pm it was 12:30pm when we got there. Waited patiently for the only waitress on the floor to help us. We were told that they closed at 1:00pm. I told her about the time on Yelp but then pointed to a sign that said it closed at 1:00pm by then it was 12:45 pm. She said they stopped taking people at 12:45pm! They what kind of place does this I told her that nowhere does it say last customer at 12:45! She was rude and had an attitude because we were arguing with her that they should be talking there last morning customers at 1:00 if that's what the sign says! Only 2 other table had customers! No owner or manager there to talk to. Don't go unless you expect to have the times change according to what they feel like for the day! Won't make that effort again!

They were located a two minute drive from the hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty, and since it was during Superbowl we thought it would stay that way. We were wrong. There was a party in the back and tables in the dining room started filling up. We were greeted immediately and then drink orders were taken. I ordered the Thai Tea with 1/2 and 1/2 (vs coconut milk) and hubby had the ice tea with coconut. My drink came with a refill (unheard of for Thai Tea) and he had unlimited refills. For dinner he ordered the Ma Sa Man Curry with rice and salad, and I had the Pad Thai. We both enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was knowledgeable and delightful. The dinner for two was extremely reasonable, less than what we pay at home for a lunch special for two. Highly recommend!

On his short visit, he wanted to go back to Renoo's but it was closed on Sunday so we came here. My wife had their Tom Kha Gai $8.50 that it's her favorite dish in Thai restaurants. Our son had the Stir Fried Basil dish with veggies and chicken. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with vegetables and tofu. Both dishes were $13.50 and they offer a side salad or miso soup. We both choose the miso soup. The food was delicious as always. The main course was a nice size. However, my wife mentioned that in the past the Tom Kha Gai soup was served in a larger bowl. My son and I ordered Chai Thai Tea, my son with half and half and I had it with Coconut Milk at $4 with refills. The server Christina was outstanding! We were glad we went there.

Thai Sol is an absolute gem in District 5, bringing a true taste of Thailand to the Upper Eastside!…read moreFrom the moment you step in, you're welcomed with warm hospitality and an inviting, family-friendly atmosphere. Despite the ongoing construction in the area, the trip is well worth it for an authentic Thai dining experience. The menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring dishes that highlight fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Thai Spring Rolls were perfectly crisp, filled with fresh vegetables, and served with a flavorful dipping sauce. The Papaya Salad was a standout--refreshing, crunchy, and bursting with bright flavors, especially when paired with the heat of Thai bird chili. The Tofu Fry was a great appetizer, lightly fried to golden perfection, with a satisfying crunch and a soft, delicate interior. For mains, we enjoyed the Minced Chicken Salad (Larb), which was packed with zesty lime, fresh herbs, and a kick of spice--so authentic and well-balanced! The Pad See Ew was another highlight, featuring perfectly stir-fried flat noodles coated in a rich, savory sauce, complemented by tender chicken. The Pad Thai with shrimp was just as impressive, striking the right balance of sweet, tangy, and nutty flavors. To round out the meal, the Mango Sorbet Sticky Rice was the perfect dessert--sweet, creamy, and refreshing. And of course, no Thai meal is complete without Thai Tea, which was smooth, rich, and delightfully sweet. What makes Thai Sol even more special is the story behind it. Owner Fern, born and raised in Thailand, has a deep passion for bringing authentic Thai flavors to El Paso. From hand-rolling spring rolls to sourcing fresh ingredients, she ensures every dish reflects her roots and culinary expertise. Having sold food in Thailand's streetcars, she brings that same authenticity to her restaurant, making Thai Sol a must-visit. It was also great to see District 5 Representative Ivan Niño out supporting this fantastic local business. Thai Sol deserves all the love and support--it's places like this that make El Paso's food scene truly special. Whether you're a Thai food lover or new to the cuisine, Thai Sol is a must-try! Great spot for Thai food! I met my boyfriend here for lunch today and really enjoyed it…read more I ordered the shrimp pad thai (medium) and was immediately surprised by how much we both liked it. The sweet & spicy flavor from the sauce was very well-incorporated into the noodles, and there were a good amount of shrimp included. The only thing I would change would be for the overall flavor of the dish to be a bit stronger. I feel like chili powder or oil would go really well with this one. Also, I really like when places include extra vegetables on top. I plan to be back here in the future to satisfy my pad thai craving! I would also really like to see what else is on their menu & try the fried rice.

I called them up to order per their instructions on their post and promptly got lost thinking that they were where all the food trucks congregated but they were past the traffic circle near a random ditch. Not sure why since the country club location was well lit and poppin'. They texted me when my order was ready and told me they were closing soon but were kind enough to wait for me. The chicken pad thai was $10.50 with tax, CASH only. I must say my expectations were low but this plate blew me away. I wasn't worried that it wasn't as fresh since I was 20 mins late picking up, as this dish gets better with time to mix and soak all the sauce. The past few pad thai dishes I've had were made at home and the sauce from a bottle since I really didn't want to do the whole rigamarole of soaking tamarinds to make it as authentic as possible. The bottled sauces are wayyy too sugary and so the dish leans sweet. This plate is not sweet, but the flavors of this dish are centered around a sweet-savory fusion. Salty, nutty, slightly sweet tamarind sauce, the thin rice noodles soaked up the sauce and mixed with cubed chicken, green onions, egg, bean sprouts, and roasted ground peanuts and served with a lime wedge. It's definitely not as funky or fermented as the ones I had in Thailand, but it can stand on it's own where I worked in L.A.'s Thai town. I'm a huge fan and I can see myself already hunting down this truck in the future. They have a limited menu and I look forward to trying out the rest of the food. I let hubby have a bite and he was like wow this is really good...then I shut him down by saying he should go get himself some next time. Their dipping sauce was like no other, light, fresh, spicy but not over powering with hints of lime, chile, fish sauce and rice vinegar. Now it is so watered down that it almost has no taste at all. The spring rolls are mostly rice Noodles and my last order had just one shrimp in the middle. My spring roll fell apart as soon as I picked it up. I also ordered Pad Thai. There were huge chunks of chicken which I needed to cut in order to eat without choking. There were a few small shrimp and no Tofu to be found. They used to top it with green scallions and they were also missing. What was missing most, was flavor. It was barely coated with any sauce so it just tasted like rice noodles. I hate complaining and posting a bad review for what used to be my favorite Thai restaurant, but this is the third time my food was less than appetizing. Last two times I ordered Cashew Chicken, and both times the cashews were so badly burnt that it made the dish inedible. Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - Dinner for Two with Green Curry with pork at mild and Pineapple Fried Rice…read morewith pork at mild. The green curry was mostly bamboo shoots and green curry paste. You don't really get the aroma for the coconut or basil and there was barely any bell peppers. It was very one dimensional flavor that was mostly just spicy. It's a small portion of curry and TINY portion of rice so we did have to get additional food after. The fried rice was disappointing as well since it was very salty and the rice was a bit mushy. The pineapple and slices of cucumbers were very necessary to offset the saltiness but it was still overwhelming. Flavor profile was one dimensional again of just salty. The two jar (maraschino) cherry was a bit confusing and didn't fit the dish. The Appetizer Sampler: the vegetarian spring roll was decent with a nice fry on the outside and packed with veggies on the inside. Not much flavor by itself, but there are multiple sauces you can try with and the texture was good. The chicken wings were very salty on the outside and dry on the inside. The fried wontons with pork filling.... Well, the sampler doesn't specifically say so it could be just fried empty wontons since that's what we think we got. One of the pieces had a tiny piece of protein but the others were empty. It was also fried to death Ambience: n/a - ordered food to go. The front door has an obnoxious buzz that goes off ever time it opens. While the decorations are themed, the restaurant does feel messy as there are things everywhere. The restaurant does seem older as there are water stains on the ceiling tile and very harsh white light. A TV was in the corner with a sports game on but no music Service: 5/5 - she was super nice and friendly and gave us multiple recommendations on what to get. She was attentive while she dealt with multiple customers and a pick up order at the same time Value for price: 1/5 - First, the menu on their website is out of date so add $2-4 for every dish. Bad and expensive food makes this a no go for us
