Love the concept of a Christian Boba place! It is refreshing to see such a place in downtown San Mateo. This boba shop was clean, simple, and inviting. They have board games available to play and even offer a worship group one evening a week. The customer service was really good. The drink I had was the brown sugar fresh milk boba and it tasted fresh not powdery. It had a good flavor and not overly sweet. I will be back again in the future for sure! 5 stars!

All the drinks I've had here have been good! The matcha and hojicha quality I've had has also been very good. Favorite is probably the mango followed by banana and strawberry. I was pleasantly surprised by the milk tea flavor. The boba texture is good as well although I did not taste much osmanthus. I think the aspect I like the most is that even after the ice melts, all their drinks still have robust flavors.

I stopped by on a rainy weekday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! Boba Bless is a little further out from the main downtown San Mateo area, tucked away on a corner. I ordered a roasted oolong milk tea at 50% sugar to play it safe and it didn't disappoint. The shop is small but has seating and outlets available if you need to get work done. It seems to be a local spot that students and friends come to so it can get pretty loud. I'll be stopping by again when I'm in the area!

Finally tried this spot out with my friend! There's unfortunately no air conditioning and there's a handful of seats inside. We ordered on the tablet and the drinks came out pretty quickly. The mango matcha looked so appealing, I knew I had to try it. Just wow. It automatically comes in the large cup size and it was so creamy and the fruit tasted so fresh. The matcha flavor was very strong and the boba was perfectly chewy. I couldn't even finish it and put it in the fridge overnight knowing the boba would probably not taste that great, but to my surprise, it was still chewy the next morning! I came back the next day because I was nearby and ordered their mango sago. No picture because I devoured it, but I didn't opt for the larger size. Highly recommend paying the extra $0.75 because the cup was more than half the size of the large.

Great boba and great service! Thankful to have found a boba spot that represents my faith and gives such good vibes! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming - there's always a community of folks talking and playing games whenever I've come and their mango sago just takes the cake when it comes to yummy goodness! Their teas are not bitterly brewed and their sweetness levels are adjustable. Personalized boba cups to how I like them is always a plus!

Great boba shop that has chewy boba and fun regular shaped cups. You order at one of 2 kiosks and 50% sweetness is all you need. They have good flavors and as other reviews have said, great customer service. There's a nice seating area with board games.

Came by after dinner to get something sweet to drink. Found Boba Bless on Yelp with a stunning 5 star rating with over 100 reviews. We figure we'd give it a try. There are two kiosks for you to order your drinks from. I decided to go for their roasted oolong milk tea and my husband got their guava green tea with jelly topping. Honestly? No. There was barely any tea flavor in either drink and it was watered down. We ordered the drinks with ice but there was no ice in our drinks -- it was all melted. What was really odd to us was ... someone was bringing in ingredients in coolers? They might not have a fridge? Not really sure. Service was really friendly but I wouldn't come back for the milk tea.

I went here for some boba cravings after dinner and went with the roasted oolong milk tea with boba large which was about $7. It's decent price for the portions and the boba was also pretty solid. Not the best but satisfactory. Fortunately, it was not strongly caffeinated as I was able to be sound asleep a few hours later. Service was good - the owner I presume that also made the drinks were nice to give me some free tea samples to help me decide what to order. That helped me realize the four seasons oolong was not my preference and went with a different option to thoroughly enjoy my drink.

A star for the friendly (but slow) service and a star for the philanthropic vibes. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the tea. Perhaps I selected the wrong flavor, but guava jasmine green tea really sounded like it would hit the spot. Perhaps they were still new-ish and working out the little kinks of mixing up the concoctions? Perhaps it just wasn't a good day as the service was rather slow? I may never know the answer, but I do know this place was not it for boba. Tea was bland, sorely lacking in any green tea flavor and the guava tasted like soapy syrup - not sure how to describe it, but it was quite artificial. Bae's drink (not pictured) was not any better so sadly, we were 0 for 2.

Boba without Borders! I think this is a great concept - boba with a good cause attached and community service! It was great to meet the community members and try the drinks, which were very impressive! The flavors were great! The people were enthusiastic! We will be heading back for the drinks too in the future! We liked the guava one, the mango one, and the roasted oolong - basically everything we tried.

Cute boba spot! Favorite part about this place is how their exterior is set up with many plants! Only a few window seats and tables and they also have some board games on their shelf. Ordered through their kiosks and drinks were brought to us quickly. I got the Passion Mango Jasmine Green Tea with boba and aloe jelly. My friend ordered the Taro Milk tea with boba. Can't go wrong with these drinks, just the right amount of sweetness. They also have WiFi and outlets if you plan to do some work!

This is the best Boba place we've ever been to. Everything we had was really special. Each tea is made from high quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. The host was so gracious and generous. They had samples of some of the unique teas and blends. It was so hard to choose because they were so good. I had the mango Jasmine milk tea with boba. It was delicious. We also had a sample of the Thai tea jelly that was so good I'll have to get it next time. The oolong my husband got was also exquisite. As my kid said, "the place has good vibes". We will make an extra effort to come back! read more

I went back and forth about how many stars to give. I came in on a Friday at lunchtime and it was completely empty. The place itself is hard to find. There's no outside storefront so maybe that's why there weren't any customers. There's a kiosk for ordering with one employee at the time. He was very kind and welcoming and offered to have me try samples if I chose to. I ordered 2 mango sagos with added boba in each. Apparently it was a new item they had just added. I was unfortunately very disappointed.. there was absolutely ZERO sago in the drink. Just the boba I ordered. I would have said something but I left without checking the drink and the added boba concealed the missing sago. The drink itself was just okay. Probably my least favorite mango drink I've tried. It's more milky than mango. And lacks that fresh mango taste of most mango sagos I've tried. I'd rate the drink one star since there was no sagos and it wasn't that great. I added 2 stars for the customer service which I felt was generous. I would not come here again. I would also probably not recommend it as there are far better boba spots across the street. read more

The atmosphere of the store is very inviting, has a several outlets and desks for doing some work. There's also plenty of board games to hang out with friends. Their drinks combinations are very nice and not too sweet. The place is family owned and SUPER welcoming! I would 100% recommend coming to visit and have a drink. read more

Stan and Paul are AMAZING!! I walked in and immediately I was greeted kindly. They gave us free samples of their drinks to help my friend and I choose a drink. We got their new drink Lemon Black Tea which has a wonderful sour taste and a nice and sweet honey flavor as well 10/10 highly recommend. The Guava Green Tea was also very good 9.5/10. Stan also offered my friend and I a free Thai Tea Jelly, one with oat milk since one of us was lactose intolerant and another with just regular milk. It was THE BESTT 20/10. I will probably get the thai jelly every single week from now on... The store has an incredible interior and an even more incredible background. We heard of their ventures of volunteering at the San Francisco Civic Center monthly and their incredible work in areas all around the world. Their work is truly remarkable and their drinks are out of this world. They are a new business and I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Got mango matcha for me and the non caffeinated mango oat milk with boba for my kid. Both were super tasty! You can tell its quality matcha and the mango bits gave it a nice balance. Mango oat milk was a surprise hit! Perfect ratio, not too sweet which is usually my problem at boba places (I usually get 25% sweetness other places but no adjustment needed on this drink!). Arrived eagerly on a Friday night with hopes of a refreshing drink after a long, hard, stressful day of work. My group and I shortly discovered that Boba Bless was unexpectedly closed. I find this extremely disappointing when the closing time is supposedly 10:00 pm, as per the website and schedule on the door. I was looking forward to quenching my thirst with my favorite boba spot in town, but now my night is ruined. This is extremely unacceptable as there should at least be a sign on the door explaining their reason for closing early. I am now not sure if I will be back . If you are considering going, make sure you have extra time to waste in case they decide to close unexpectedly. read more

A very welcome addition to downtown San Mateo! You'd think who needs another Boba place but this one has everything going right for it. First off prices are great and tea is delicious- it's nice to get back to a Boba that does not break the bank - 5.75 to start. I had wanted to try it Sunday but it's closed props to their amazing community outreach work - so popped by today when kids were done with school. We were treated to samples of 5-6 of their teas, each one different and not overly sweet. Their Thai tea is not your run of the mill sometimes overdone syrupy sweet Thai tea. The Mango jasmine has nice balance of both jasmine and mango same for the peach assam. I would love a decaf black tea and herbal tea to round out their decaf choices so could come even more! Look forward to coming back. Open till 9:30 M-Th 10:00pm Friday and Saturday! Give it a try you won't be disappointed read more

Stopped by here on a Saturday, I ordered the Guava fruit tea and my gf ordered the Passion Mango. Their ordering kiosks were down and the owner offered the drinks on the house for the inconvenience. We just paid him the cost in tips instead. Drinks were fantastic, the owner was nice and super friendly and the vibes were great. Its obvious the owner cares about his customers and is passionate about his business. read more

Immediately upon walking into the store, the staff members offered me samples of the new lychee drink they made. Then, I was offered let that mango, taro, oreo, and more. They would not stop! No complaints from me though!! Paul, one of the co-owners, and his team greeted us with warmth! Boba was cooked well, and mango black tea was tasty. :) Store was well lit and clean. We were excited to try a new boba place and I like that they have a mission to serve the community as well. When we arrived, there was a huge group that had just ordered so the 15 minute wait time in our Revi order turned into 60 minutes. Staff were nice about it and we were not in a huge rush, but the drinks themselves were not great and it definitely made the whole experience more disappointing as a result. The mango sago was really disappointing because it tasted more like the oat milk than the mango in the drink. The hojicha with taro foam was pretty good overall - just wish I could have the honey boba I ordered and I did not want to wait another 5 minutes for them to finish making more after we had already been waiting 60 min for our drinks. The other drink, a Passion Mango Jasmine Slushie was ok - my husband was said there were big ice chunks that were in the smoothie so that made it a little harder to enjoy. The staff apologized for the delays in service but in the end, I don't think the drinks were good enough to get us to go back. Overall the shop is pretty cute but it was super hot with so many people inside. Even with the windows open, they need some fans to move the air around as the air conditioning was pretty ineffective. read more

Got the taro foam hojicha - the foam was okay but the milk tea tasted very watered down. Also ordered it with aloe but there was no topping included in my drink. Disappointing and overpriced for $8+. If you're looking for good boba, probably should go elsewhere - I feel like the high ratings are more related to the shop's service and mission than the quality of the drinks. read more

Decided to check out this boba spot because of the good reviews and it did not disappoint! Paul, the owner, immediately offered us samples of some drinks which helped with choosing what to get. The tea quality is good and they seem to take pride in that which is great. I'd get less sweet if you like a stronger tea flavor like me. Paul told us they brew their Thai tea for 10 hours and use half and half instead of condensed milk; I can taste the difference. Their Thai tea is definitely different from the usual boba place. The service was amazing and friendly. I'd definitely come back again to try more drinks. read more

It tasted like iced milk, as there was barely any matcha (was a light green once mixed). I think it would help to serve these in a smaller cup so there's a lot less milk, or add extra ice to decrease the milk volume. I'm surprised that people seem to be really big fans of their matcha drinks, but it's possible that it was a consistency issue.

I saw a lot of people getting takeout, and some small groups around tables chatting. I was debating between the matcha and houjicha, then got intrigued by the black sesame, and finally after much internal debate, decided that black sesame + houjicha would work best together and wanted the einspanner. They honestly have so many intriguing options like Earl grey matcha einspanner??? Banana pudding?? I have to come back. My only complaint is the price but I guess everything is expensive these days. $8/9 for one of these drinks hurt my heart though. On the flavors: while I wish there was more black sesame (I always do), this was one of the most satisfyingly black sesame items I've had from a cafe. It went really well with the toasty roasty notes from the houjicha and I think they added enough of both amidst the milk to make it a very satisfying drink. This can be rare because a lot of places drown out all the flavors with too much milk. The best part though, was the einspanner - the sweetened whipped cream on top really brought the whole drink together and was so delicious. It made it just that little bit more decadent. I got it at minimal sweetness and at first though it wasn't enough, but I was glad I did as I worked my way through the cup, it was perfect.

I stopped by a boba shop on my way home and had the pleasure of meeting the owner. He recommended their Thai tea, slow-cooked for 10 hours--and it was absolutely phenomenal.
