    Cheesy Corn Chicken Pasta

Many things to say... for starters, the wait for a table and food can be quite long. Don't come hungry! Granted we came on Mother's day weekend for lunch, but the place was packed when we arrived. It's tucked in a little corner next to Osaka Marketplace by the water. We were lucky that a table outside was clearing out right when we were ordering. There was almost a few people waiting for a table at all times. The restaurant was kind of small, with only 5-8 tables inside (mainly for groups of 4 or less people). Outside there was several larger tables and the weather in the area is typically nice enough to dine outside. The staff seemed very stressed and under pressure. They were constantly running out orders and so they weren't very attentive to people coming in or waiting at the counter. Nonetheless we ordered a variety of things to share through the self-order kiosk. Between four people, we shared two appetizers and four entrees with some left over food. The siu mai and fish balls were as expected, nothing mind-blowing but the satay sauce was delicious and definitely necessary. Fried chicken wings were very crunchy exterior and moist inside, but the seasoning itself was a bit underwhelming in my opinion. Again, the included dipping sauce made the dish much more enjoyable. Lemongrass pork neck was flavorful and had that jowl texture that makes pork so succulent. The sweet chili sauce paired well for this simple dish. The fried egg addition is always nice. The bbq Iberian black pork was a little disappointing as the broth was a bit plain and the meat itself not as tender as we hoped. Noodles were decent. Cheesy corn pasta was an interesting fusion. The corn added sweetness while still retaining a savory taste from the sauce they used. A little creamy for my preference but I can see the appeal. HK style toast was unexpectedly good, but maybe because I had low expectations from the other items. There was a crisp exterior to the bread with fluffy interior, stuffed with peanut butter. The condensed milk is essential for this! Overall, neat idea that resembles many cafes in HK but average execution. We were hoping for more variety of dishes but it's alright for what they do have. It's nice diversification to the area.

Tom yum spaghetti is good. However, the service is extremely slow. I noticed multiple customers asking about the status of their orders.... It also took a lot of flagging down to get water. The servers look confused in general, and even pissed when we asked about the wait time after our food hadn't arrived after 30+ minutes. Back to the food... BBQ pork noodles soup with egg was not very flavorful. And I've had better HK style french toast elsewhere. Food was below average, but honestly it's their service that pissed me off more than anything, and I have pretty low standards for that. 2 stars.

Cafe Kazka is a casual cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Their restrooms are shared with others at the plaza so customers have to walk about 6 doors over and get a restroom code from the employee. We ordered from an electronic kiosk right at the entrance. The items we ordered used good ingredients, tasted delicious, and were well presented. The portions were not big, but adequate. The cafe was clean, and the music wasn't too loud. The one employee there was friendly and helpful.

We still love this place and wish it was open later! But we'll continue to come for a brunch or mid-afternoon snack! We love biking to this place and enjoying the food at the outdoor seating area! No matter how busy it is, service is always pretty slow haha. But it's worth it and the pieces are great. This time we tried the French toast with peanut butter and condensed milk. So good. 10/10 would recommend!

Overall pretty cute cafe with self serve ordering kiosk with little service. Food came out kinda slow. The tom yum pasta was decent in flavor except a little bit extra in coconut milk with a sweeter flavor. The satay noodle soup was lacking in flavor. The French toast was the best with the lemon iced tea. The HK milk tea was ok. The chicken wings were cooked well and the yuzu mayo was a nice touch.

The vibe is indeed very HK but I am not 100% sure the mango drink is that legit. the hk milk tea is good though.

My sister introduced me to this place before we walked into Osaka Marketplace. We ended up ordering only drinks as we had a heavy brunch. We ordered through the kiosk which we saw as soon as we walked in. It's advised to order & take a number prior to sitting down. I ordered the Ovaltine while my sister ordered the Lemon Ribena. The area is so relaxing, right next to the water. We saw people working on their laptops and others on a date. Our drinks came out quickly and the service was prompt. I'd definitely come back! 10/10. Reminds me of the beautiful cafes in Japan.

Stopped by while visiting the local market and almost missed this place since it is tucked away in a corner and a bit hidden. I dropped in just for a drink and ordered the mango coconut slush. I have had a similar mango drink from Tong Sui, which specializes in mango desserts, and I would say this one was even better. The drink was refreshing, well balanced, and had a great mango flavor without being overly sweet. I definitely want to come back in the future to try the food as well.

Very cute little cafe that has a large menu for food / snacks. I got the drinks to go and the Hong Kong milk tea was definitely better than the viet coffee. But it's pretty expensive at $7-8 dollars each and it's not freshly made to order... Did not interact with the staff since you just order through the kiosk.

A very cutely decorated shop with a few tables and self order kiosks. Everything was ok but nothing quite impressed. But I would want to try their other non-noodle food. HK 5 Spiced Pork Dice Noodle was ok but on the saltier side. Broth was good but I felt like meat just needed a tad bit more sweetness for complexity. BBQ pork noodles soup was also ok where the bbq pork stood out more and not at all fatty and well marinated. The broth felt like bone broth but had hoped for more flavor. The bowls are the metal kinds so I had to quickly eat my noodles as I opted for the instant noodles. Unfortunately, my partners' noodle didn't come out until I had finished mine. I had wished that the iced yuenyeung came in a regular cup rather than getting charged extra for the can. It was a bit watered down because of the ice in the can for my taste. Guavaberries was nice and refreshing but also a bit watered down for my taste.

Cute HK-inspired cafe, but misses on value and authenticity Finally got to check out this Hong Kong-style cafe after months of hearing about it, and overall it felt underwhelming and pricey for what you get. The concept is fun, but in this case quality did not really rise above quantity. The setup is self-serve: you order at a kiosk, grab your own water, and utensils come out with the food. After ordering, you pick up a number stand and bring it to your table. That part is straightforward, but the menu prices felt high, especially given that HK-style cafes are typically more budget-friendly. What we tried: * Mango Sunrise: The kids enjoyed this one, and it felt fairly priced for what it was. * HK OG Lemon Tea: You can customize ice and sweetness, which is a nice touch, but the flavor didn't really scream "OG." The tea lacked the depth and lemon brightness you'd expect from a classic version. * HK Style French Toast with Peanut Butter: Served cut into quarters with condensed milk on the side. It was decent, but nothing about it stood out enough to justify the higher price, especially knowing there are more affordable options nearby. * Satay Fish Ball / Siu Mai: These tasted like basic frozen snacks dressed up for the menu. The satay sauce didn't complement the fish balls well, and the siu mai texture was pasty rather than bouncy and satisfying. * Honey BBQ Chicken Wings: Four wings for around nine dollars felt steep, and they lacked crispness and that satisfying HK-style street barbecue flavor I was hoping for. * BBQ Pork Char Siu, Egg & Rice: The portion felt small for the price. The char siu had decent flavor but was overcooked, the "over easy" egg came out fully cooked through, and the vegetables were also overdone. While this place has a cute vibe and shows promise as an HK-inspired cafe, a lot of the authenticity and creativity you'd expect from that label just isn't there yet. For now, I'd call it more "HK-inspired" than true HK-style, and I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back.

The Little Gal checked out Yelp to find a place for lunch and came across Cafe Kazka...particularly the Tom Yum Goong Pasta! So, our party of 7 headed out that way. With plenty of parking, it was a breeze to find. You order at the kiosk and take a seat. I didn't notice it, but the kids saw a sign mentioning they were understaffed so things would take a little longer than usual. There were a handful of people already dining and relaxing. This is a weird spot since they call themselves a cafe, so people tend to loiter despite the obvious influx of other diners. While we waited for our food, we saw a neighboring table with two families and small children. The small children were running outside unsupervised while the mothers chatted. When they finally left, there was a huge mess all over the tables and underneath. We also noticed a couple sitting by the front and noticed they were still there when we left. And this is with other customers standing around waiting for a table. And since it was understaffed, it took a little while to get those empty tables cleaned. Let's get to the food: * Tom Yum Goong Pasta $16 - The Little Gal saw this and wanted it and it was exactly as she had hoped. It was pretty good with chunky shrimps and good flavor. * HK 5 Spiced Pork Dice Noodles Soup $14 - The Little Guy ordered this and it must have been good because we never got to try any of it. * Spam and Egg Noodles Soup $13 - Three slices of spam, sunny side up egg with egg noodles in soup. Exactly as described. * Crispy Chicken Wings, 8 pieces / $17 - We opted for the House Yuzu Mayo which I really liked. My mom was less than impressed and felt like the meat didn't have enough flavor. The skin was pretty tasty in my opinion though. * Black Truffle Fish Siu Mai $8 - This was the only dish we didn't care for. It was just okay and no one really wanted to finish it. * Roasted Iberico Char Siu Rice & Egg $16 - The Husband really enjoyed this dish and thought it was a decent size portion. * HK Style French Toast w/ Fruit $10 - I ordered this thinking I would get a bigger share of the Tom Yum Goong Pasta. The HK style French Toast was good, especially when dipped in the condensed milk. The fruit consisted of strawberries and cantaloupe. They were sold out of a few dishes already despite it only been noon. Service - There really isn't any actually. You order at the kiosk and they bring the food to you. There really isn't much dialogue or interaction going on. We went up and asked for water and that was it. Not sure if it's because they are understaffed or what, but it's very relaxed there. Because of that atmosphere, guests do tend to laze around. Restrooms are not in the establishment and do require a little bit of walk by the other stores. It's by the water, which can be nice when sitting outside. Overall, there were a few good eats and a few that were just okay. Price wise - some were priced decently. I do wish they had some of their other dishes available though as we had our eye on a few other things. 3.5 stars

Great Hong Kong cafe in Foster City! The set meal with pork, pickled vegetables, and noodles in a clear broth came with a side of eggs, toast, and HK milk tea - what a fantastic deal! Total comfort food. The place was inviting, sunny, with a warm color palette and a water's view to boot. Mellow Canto music (ballads of course!) playing in the background. Service was HK efficient, as expected. You can also buy cute HK charms!

Super funny that the couple behind me commented that they go here all the time and there's never a line. After about a 40 minute wait, I got to the cashier at around 10:20am. Half the pastries like the ube brioche were already out so I opted for just the lattes. I played it safe and got the Tahitian vanilla latte. I will say that it's good quality coffee. Didn't need to add sugar. It didn't come super hot though so as I took it away, I downed it pretty fast! I got my mom and aunt the ice latte version of the black sesame and the brown sugar. Sounds like both were good as well. The black sesame wasn't sweet, which was to my aunt's liking. Inside, it's very clean and not crowded. What helped is that there is a sign that tells the people in line that only 6 people at a time should line up inside. If I have the time, I'd line back up. 4.5/5 stars, but I'll round up.
