A hidden little spot in La Puente, affordable and great for a quick boba crave. They also sell ice cream and limited selection of pastries. I was satisfied on my first visit: solid drinks, cozy decor, friendly service, and immediate delivery. On my revisit, the experience was still fair. However, the boba this time was firm and undercooked. For that, I'm keeping the review at 4 stars for now. I will return to see if it improves.

Brown sugar Boba milk tea & passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly. + macaron!

5/5 I had a great experience at Boba Lair! I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba and the Green Tea Passion Fruit--both were absolutely delicious. The drinks were perfectly balanced and refreshing, and the boba had just the right chew. I also tried one of their macarons, and it was a delightful treat--light, flavorful, and not too sweet. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

We love this boba place! Whenever we're in the Baldwin Park area, we make sure to stop and get out boba and drinks here. My go to drink is the Mango smoothie!!! I love how cold, nice and refreshing it is!!! The strawberry smoothie is my son's favorite and anything matcha are my girls favs!!! Boba Lair has seasonal drinks as well which we'll try just because it's what they're featuring. Everything here is yummy yummy yummy! Come try for yourself.

The spot was small and quaint but very clean the service was professional all the drinks we ordered were repeated and explained so not any confusion and the price was amazing! To top it off the drinks were the best I've had in a long while so I highly recommend

Boba is perfect for the summer. I got a Thai tea smoothie it was not really a smoothie and more just like a regular drink. Although it looks very blended on the outside it was still nothing but liquid on the inside. I loved the inside decor and they have a lot of seats available. The customer service was good as well.

Boba Lair is a solid, no frills boba spot. The drinks here are priced reasonably and taste pretty delicious. I usually swing by this place as it's on the way home for me. The owner here is very friendly and will take care of you when you order your drinks.

Was in the area so tries this place out. They're ok. The decor is cute. The drinks were decent. I had the Black Sesame Matcha and it was good. You can taste the black Sesame and it wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciate. They did take longer to make the drinks than anticipated. I'm picky with my teas and coffee. Try it out if your in the area. You may like it.

This ... this is the best boba / drinks I've ever had in my life. Don't even know where to begin. The service was ASTOUNDING! We wanted to try the strawberry cheesecake but they were out of the necessary ingredients. The sunset lemonade and brown sugar milk drink looks like the next best option. The associate asked if I was OK with the jellies in the sunset lemonade, gave me a sample to ensure I would like it, and I did! They have non-dairy options and we chose to sub out the milk with almond milk for the brown sugar Boba drink. It tasted like the best ice cream milkshake .. blew my socks off! The Sunset lemonade was a dream, fresh lemons chilled tasted better than I can describe with words. Please do your favor and head over immediately.

So don't take it from me, take it from my teenage boba-loving daughter...." This boba is bomb". This is her favorite new place and is now a convert from Quickly. She's also a fan of the baked goods. You can practically play frisbee with those cookies they are so big. From my end I'll say the coffee drinks are fine. Not life changing, but certainly decent. Customer service is always great and they work very fast on your order. Inside is super contemporary, complete with an Instagram ready photo op wall. Definitely worth the stop if your looking for some boba in the area.

As the name implies, this place really is a lair. I would not expect a boba place in such a non-assuming plaza. Outside of a singular photo op wall, this place really gave me "Quickly" vibes and my expectations were kind of low. Boy was I surprised! I got the pumpkin cloud milk tea which is a chai milk tea with homemade pumpkin cream. BOMB. Imagine the pumpkin cream from Starbucks but richer, sweeter, and you actually get a copious amount of it. The pumpkin spice taste permeated my entire drink. Truly indulgent. The boba was just okay for me though, I might try a different topping next time.

Such a cute tea shop! I was craving a slushy and this place was near so I decided to give it a try. Walking in the place was clean and trendy. I immediately was greeted by the sweetest barista who gave me great recommendations. I opted for a lychee slushy with lychee jelly. I checked in Yelp and I got a free thai tea! Score! Everything tasted great! Im so glad i found this place I'll definitely be back!

When I recently visited my favorite Mexican restaurant the other day, I saw that the pet store, located next door was replaced by a boba drink shop, so nothing better to finish up your lunch with a fruity smoothie drink. Place was semi small, with about four tables, a counter display case displaying misc. snacks and other drink options. Decor was simple, nice and clean. The Asian lady working here was really nice and friendly. Many options of drinks to choose from, as well as some unique fruit / health bowls, looked good, but wanted a drink on this visit. Went with a strawberry / banana smoothie and it was actually really good, tasted just like a banana and ..........you guessed it, a strawberry milkshake. So looking at the menu, they have all kinds of flavors, with or without boba, Thai ice tea's and coffees, can't wait to try their Thai ice tea. Really nice to have an asian boba beverage option in the neighborhood, will definitely come back for my drink craves. No complaints here, 4 stars from me.

They let me know all the different desserts and options. They also explained pricing and availability to me. They showed me all the different toppings that they have for not just ice cream and sundaes, but crêpes as well. Considering I walked in here, thinking that this was strictly an ice cream place, they have a very large menu. One thing that I remember very fondly about my visit here was not that there were a lot of people here, but the people that were dining in, they were mostly families with children. That may not seem like an important thing, but to me, seeing that is precious More often than not, you see children, their parents, and even their parents parents. So sometimes you get a small group of people, but really you have three generations. Quality time like that is absolutely precious and to see them so engaged in conversation with one another and laughing the entire time and sharing dessert, that was so awesome. Sharing ice cream with my dad at an ice cream parlor near our home is a very fond memory for me. So I guess that's why I paid attention to this while we died at scoop Street. When I took a moment to take a step back and look at our little family, we also were there in our lil three generational group: me, my kiddo & my Mom. The prices here are more than reasonable. The ice cream that is used for their desserts is from thrifty. The waffle cones are made in house and smell amazing. There really wasn't anything more than I could've asked of this visit to the ice cream shop. This was so special. Servers: Art & Austin

Friendly young staff but service was slow and inattentive. They primarily serve Thrifty Ice Cream, a classic Southern California brand. The shop's main draw is the funnel cake. The Churro-Chata, topped with horchata ice cream and mini churros is our favorite. Portions are big and shareable. Also, they bake cookies and brownies in-house daily using family recipes to use in their custom ice cream sandwiches and sundaes. Plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall.

We were able to snag a parking spot bc our car was small. The restaurant itself also looks like a house, just renovated as a restaurant, so it's definitely very cozy here with not a whole lot of seating. The waiting area is basically the patio. The staff seemed very busy with all the orders. It also looked like they weren't even going in order of the queue list since we wrote our name on the the waitlist wall. They were taking people in for people showing up to the front desk... We were seeing people getting seated before us even though we waited longer than them, so we were very confused whether they either just showed up as walk-in or came with a reservation... We checked on the wait time, and they eventually decided to seat us at the bar since they knew we were waiting for awhile. Seating at the sushi bar is pretty neat, but also kinda hidden that we were afraid service was going to overlook us. Luckily the father(?) of the restaurant, took care of us quite well and made sure we got our plate settings, order, water, etc. We ordered the mother's day special, which came with a sashimi plate and spicy tuna roll. We also ordered a side of calamari. Luckily the wait to receive our food wasn't too long, especially since we could get our sushi right from the bar. The portion sizes are hugee!! I've seen this place from TikTok so seeing this in person, wow the sashimi pieces are beautiful. I also enjoyed how little rice they give, so the sashimi rice ratio was prefect. Normally it takes me one bite to finish, but I need to have two bites to finish a nigiri. The spicy tuna was surprisingly a lot fresher than expected. Calamari was also pretty good! Overall, this is definitely a gem in the area. If only they were more organized with their wait system though lol.

It didn't taste like authentic Japanese sushi. I really really wanted to like it. Calamari was tough and chewy. Soft shell crab tasted fishy - not fresh. My son's udon broth didn't have much flavor. With so many eateries in such a small place, everyone is fighting for spots and the parking can get quite tight and cars that aren't the most compact are parking in those spots. People are driving like maniacs so keep that in mind. Afters is always just an alright chain to me. I remember for the longest time, it was Rick and Morty forever, but that might have just been a fever dream since they've definitely had collaborations other than that (the Avatar live action on Netflix too and I think currently BT21 for the Army out there). Despite being in a super busy plaza, this location itself isn't super busy and the workers were friendly and I was able to get my order pretty quickly. Ambiance is very casual and trendy. They have ice cream bars, merch for sale, and ice cream by the pint as well. I've gotten the cookie monster, dark matter brownie batter (I feel like this is a remnant of Rick and Morty but I'm not too sure, don't quote me on that), milk and cereal, and the Saigon coffee. There are times when the ice cream is really dense and the flavor is strong, texture is creamy and it's a solid ice cream (usually for the coffee and the brownie batter), but there are other times where the ice cream is too icy (like water iced over on it and it's like an ice cream that was melted and reformed again). This is a mixed bag I get with other flavors. For the stress it takes to even get into this plaza, it's not worth it considering there are other dessert options nearby.
