Interior / Atmosphere The shop itself looks bright, clean, and inviting. It has big shop signs, sofas, and a few cute spots where you can take pictures. From what I heard, they also host K-pop gatherings from time to time, which gives the place a fun and unique vibe. Service The staff were friendly, interactive, and easy to talk to. They answered my questions with helpful information and made the experience feel welcoming. Drinks I ordered the Guanyin milk tea, which was recommended to me after I mentioned that I prefer a stronger tea flavor. It was a good recommendation, and I enjoyed that the tea taste came through well. Even though I ordered 100% sugar, the drink did not taste overly sweet, which I appreciated. Our server was kind and patient in accommodating each drink for toppings, sweetness, and ice levels and describing some of the drinks whose ingredients weren't obviously spelled out in their names (ex. Alaska Sunset is an orange creamsicle tea, and their Cosmic Dream is a butterfly tea with mango). The interior was also spacious and clean--lots of seating to chill out or get work/studying done if you wanted to. Tastewise, the drinks were fine. After an afternoon of fun bowling at Bowlero West Covina, my Mom, my brothers + family, cousin family, and my daughters + I drove on over to Guanyin Tea House for some boba tea drinks. It was literally less than 2 minutes away from the bowling alley. My first time here. It resides at a triangular shaped building in a small corner. Don't drive past it like I did. To my utter confusion, Guanyin Tea House (West Covina) was busy because it had an event. Customers/guests were wandering around in anime/cartoon-themed outfits. They even had a vendor selling anime/cartoon photos and merchandise. Despite the event, I quickly marched towards the counter to order my drinks. The drinks were completed within four minutes. Fast! Staff is knowledgeable and professional. Staff appeared confused when I'd asked about their popular drinks, but they were mindful about the sweetness of their boba, so they recommended a 75% sugar range for the drink. Staff was very passionate about crafting a good drink experience, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness. Concerning ambiance, I had difficulty gauging the environment since there was an event. However, Guanyin Tea House (West Covina) has internet with password. Also, the location is clean and well-ventilated. I enjoyed the pop music playing on its speakers. Overall, Guanyin Tea House (West Covina) is a hidden business that deserves more support. Despite its bad location, I was impressed with its refreshing beverages and hardworking staff. We went to Guanyin Tea House to try the drinks on our last day in Los Angeles before heading home. The drinks looked tasty and cute online so we wanted to try it ourselves. The shop was clean and cute, and they were also doing an event where every drink came with a free BTS drink sleeve which was nice. I ordered the Chocolate Oreo Smoothie with boba and my friend ordered a classic milk tea. I think my smoothie was good and tasted like Oreos but it didn't stand out. I think there were other drinks that looked good and I would definitely like to stop by next time to try out more drinks. Final Verdict: Solid 3.6/5. Oh, my lawd, the Sweet Pink drink was so addicting, and I've never tried a drink like this before. The pink is strawberry puree, which was surprising because it looked very artificial, but it had the perfect sweetness and complimented the milk tea. The tea was high quality because the caffeine was hitting, so I appreciate Guanyin's quality of teas. Inside, there are plenty of long tables to work or study and free Wi-Fi!
