I LOVE Boba Licious! I came upon this place because I hadn't had boba in a couple of years (since I was pregnant!) and it just so happened it was in my neighborhood! The location is perfect and next to seafood/mexican restaurant with a lot of other small businesses. It's in the historic downtown Lancaster and so cute! The owners are so nice and very friendly. They're great and providing suggestions and the way they throw my Hispanic culture in the mix of flavors is amazing. The shop is SO cute and fetch! (IYKYK!) I've now tried 5 of their drinks and they're delicious! Definitely recommend!

First time here and it's such a cute vibe in here. Me and my grandson LOVE bubble teas so we wanted to try this local spot. It's very clean and fresh! We order ice teas - one passion fruit and one peach tea boba. It was very good! We didn't try any desserts - saving that for next time. Service was GREAT!

Finally got a chance to try their empanadas the last few times I've been here. My favorites are the…read morebutter chicken, samosa (vegetarian) and spinach and feta (vegetarian). One empanada is a perfect snack but you can go up to two if you're eating them for a meal! Everyone who works here is kind and the ambiance is generally quiet and great for working. Most tables keep the volume low (think library rules). Outlet tables are at a premium though so make sure to get there early or be willing to wait for one to open up. This cafe also hosts community events at night! They have a silent book club each month and recently seem to have added art classes. Plus, they have board games available all through the day. Overall, great community spot and you should stop by!

I ordered a baklava finger and strawberry matcha. The matcha was good, but the baklava was amazing! I would go back again just to get more of that. Beyond the food, the staff were nice and welcoming and the service was pretty quick. I can't wait to visit again!

The perfect place to read a book or catch up with a friend!…read more I stopped by Wild Detectives for a midday pick-me-up. They have a lot of cozy seating options and a unique selection of books/vinyl records! I got the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Matcha and absolutely loved it! It wasn't too sweet and had just the right amount of cinnamon. Will absolutely be back!

The Wild Detectives had been on my Dallas bucket list for years, so I was quite excited to finally…read moremake my way to the Bishop Arts District and experience it for myself. First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.
