Stopped by The Perc Coffeehouse to see a friend while I was visiting town. When you arrive there is parking in front of the coffee shop and in the lot behind the shop. The vibe inside the coffee shop feels communal, cozy, and rustic right in the heart of old town Lewisville. To order you'll walk up to the counter and place your order from the barista. I order the golden milk latte (turmeric, honey, lemon and spices). The latte was excellent and I was able to order my coffee in a ceramic. This may be my favorite coffee shop in Lewisville. Definitely check it out if you are in the area. read more

If you get the chance to try the gingerbread chai, it is an absolute must. This drink is certainly a sweeter item and could be described as drinking a Christmas cookie, but it will snap you into the holiday mood in one sip. We paired that with their blueberry lemon cake and I believe they procured that item from Pinch of Salt. I haven't had the opportunity to review Pinch of Salt yet, but their lemon blueberry cake was an immediate hit for me. They nailed the lemon zest in the icing, cake is best served warm, and the blueberries bring extra sweetness against the tartness of the lemon. We haven't had as much luck on the matcha here. We tried a few, but haven't fallen in love yet. The staff is very kind and the drinks are creative so I'll keep trying to find my perfect drink and snagging a pastry while we search! read more

On the pricey side, but the iced lattes were delicious. One was like a horchata one and the other was fruity one; the fruity one (some kinda berry) worked amazingly well with the espresso. The horchata one as well was great tasting, but not as rich in the tongue (probably because of... you know, the horchata instead of regular milk. I ordered the Xmas Latte and asked for less sugar, which they happily accommodated. My friend asked me to join her on a quick road trip and wanted to stop here. She's been here before and really enjoys their coffee, and I'm a coffee snob so she dragged me along. I got the horchata milk latte (iced) and OMG it's so good. Like I've had lattes that say they taste like this or that but this was such a great balance and actually made the drink taste like horchata- great job on that! This is a nice little coffeehouse. Lots of cool old school decorations, and a number of seating options for most party sizes. Their drink menu clearly shows what to expect from each espresso based drink type, and to my delight, they offer the standard medium roast espresso, and a light medium single origin (probably a rotator, it was from Costa Rica today) for those who enjoy a straight shot or cortado. I ordered both in separate orders. The espresso was served in appropriate glassware, but without a chaser. Still, it had a nice crema and was well balanced, showing good body yet a pleasant acidity with lots of fruit and floral overtones. Cortado was offered with a sparkling water chaser, and was creamy and delicious, really letting the flavors shine. My wife enjoyed her chai tea latte, but it was a bit on the sweet side for me. I've lived in Old Town for almost 10 years and often stop in to buy bags of beans. The coffee itself is great, but I do wish the customer experience matched the quality of the product. I've never really felt recognized as a regular, and the staff can sometimes come across as distant. A warm greeting or a little help with recommendations would go a long way in making the space feel more welcoming. For now, I usually just take my beans home to enjoy with my espresso machine, but I'd love to see the atmosphere become as inviting as the coffee. read more

This is a not so hidden gem in the heart of Lewisville. It's super cute and well visited for a good reason . They will make your drink exactly to your specifications. This is my favorite coffee shop in the metroplex. It's cozy and cool. The menu is simple yet seems to offer endless combinations. The drinks here make you feel cozy and it all tastes great. Second visit to this little gem around the corner. For a coffee shop, there's plenty of comfortable seating and enjoyed the service, as I did on my last visit. I came to do some work so got a cappuccino and a cinnamon roll for fuel. There were alot of good looking pastry choices but so glad I got the cinnamon roll. It was perfection - soft, not too sweet and just the right amount of icing. My cappuccino was very good as well. Not much else I can say.
