I had attempted to try this restaurant on several occasions before and didn't have great experiences. Today however I was pleasantly surprised. I got there early for lunch. The dish I selected was seasoned perfectly. Service was excellent as well. I planned to try the Pho initially but decided against it as I do not like meatballs. Im glad I tried the rice dish instead. I'm honestly surprised that I like Boba Lounge. I am a poor excuse of a Kentuckian for what I am about to say. I absolutely despise tea. I have tried every type of tea and I think it's the most disgusting drink you can get. I've tried sweet, unsweet, green tea, tea with lemon, tea with raspberry; it's all nasty. My friend told me that Bubble Tea is her favorite drink and she wanted me to try it. Since it had the word tea in the name, I was not looking forward to it at all. The building is walking distance from WKU so it's convenient for students to walk over and grab a cup. The inside is like a lounge where people can play games or set up their laptops and do schoolwork. We got to order our drinks quickly and we didn't wait long at all. I got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with tapioca boba. The 16oz cup came up to only being a little over 4 dollars. I had my drink blended, but you can get it iced. I can now say I found something with the word tea in it that I enjoy. I don't have a single complaint about it. It reminded me of having a Frappe from McDonald's (Starbucks is overrated). I'm glad my friend had me go with her to try Boba Lounge because it did not disappoint. I'm pretty sure I will be back to try it again. read more

This was our first time trying out Boba Lounge and Cafe and will probably be our last. We did two orders for pickup on Takeout Waiter. Waited 25 minutes and go in to pickup. My brother went in and was was told it wasn't ready, it would be awhile and he'd need to wait. He was told he could wait inside or in the car. He chose to wait in the car since none of the customers were wearing masks. The guy told him that when it was ready they would bring the food out to us. 40 minutes later, my brother is about to get out and see when it'll be ready as it's been over an hour since we ordered. The guy comes out and asks why we haven't come to get our food it's been done for a long time and the guy looks at him like he's dumb. Ummm he was told it would be brought out and would be awhile. So they give him our now cold food. He ordered two large pho's and an order of spring rolls. I ordered a large pho and an order of spring rolls. I had specifically asked for EXTRA basil & bean sprouts as seen in email screenshot. I received the tiniest amount of bean sprouts and basil I have ever received with a Large order of Pho anywhere. Now I eat a ton of Pho, it's an obsession. I have now tried it at every restaurant in Bowling Green, Clarksville and most places in Nashville. I get Pho at least once a week from Tsunami in BG but as they were closed we decided to try Boba. So our Broth containers were only 2/3 full (we ordered and paid extra for Larges) it was cold & wasn't great tasting, minuscule amount of basil and bean sprouts, no lime or jalapeño included, beef was all fat & we were given purple onions instead of regular & they took over the flavor of the broth. The spring rolls had no basil and the shrimp had a funny taste and smell. The peanut sauce was liquid and not very flavorful. Not sure we will try them again. read more

I should kick this off by saying I'm not a fan of Boba. Little squishy balls of syrup? No thanks, but when I heard they did a hot pot I was excited. My son and I went on evening to check it out and we were not disappointed. First off, our server was awesome. She never let our drinks or our broth run out and was super helpful in getting my son to understand what to expect. The portions of meat and veggies were perfect and we were very happy by the end. This was a 5 star experience until I got the check. They added a 3.99% surcharge for using my debit card. While it's legal to add up to a 4% surcharge to a CREDIT card it's in poor taste and is bad customer service, similar to charging for a glass of water. The big problem comes with the fact they put the surcharge on for a DEBIT card which is illegal and breaks the terms of use for both Visa and MasterCard. Sadly, this bumps the star rating down to a 3 and has kept me from going back. If they have no problem illegally taking advantage of customers for a few extra bucks then they don't deserve my business. read more

My husband, toddler, and I were looking for some food before going to Mammoth Cave and Boba Lounge was fantastic. We got our food pretty quickly and the eggs were cooked beautifully. My daughter loved the popcorn chicken, and my husband and I ate all of our dishes (we shared the Bulgogi Fries, Galbi Rice Plate, and Bulgogi Bahn Mi) so quickly! Very happy with each dish, and just saying since we split it, I was very happy to have an even amount of Galbi pieces in the plate. We were in and out in around an hour and I also had a Mango Green Tea with mango popping bubbles that came out at a good time as well. We asked for no ice because GOOD boba doesn't need ice. It's already the right/appropriate temperature. I've been to other boba places (in Nashville) and they don't add ice whatsoever. I am 100% convinced this particular place uses ice as an unnecessary filler. It waters down the boba tea, not to mention, they don't fill up the cup that YOU PAY FOR (large and regular in photo), unless there's ice in it to "fill it to the top." I am thoroughly disappointed. Just went last night for the first time and I LOVE this place already! The hot pot was delicious and a lot of fun, of course. Built my own and enjoyed it a lot, threw in a boba tea for good measure. "Lounge" is in the name but I was still surprised by how much of a lounge-like atmosphere it had. There are some chairs in front that would be great for sitting with a book or whatever, so I'm gonna do that soon. Can't wait to try the banh mi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaints would be that there is a $3.99 charge for using a card to pay? Seems weird and outdated, I haven't seen that in a long time. I'd also like to see more veggie options for the hot pot, but that's just personal preference. read more

I went by yesterday for the first time and ordered a boba drink. Not only was the quality of the Bobas AND the coffee jelly super good, the consistency was perfect! So I ordered again today lol this time I also ordered some food. Their Spicy Pork Belly fries were amazing. The mixture of spices on the pork belly itself were on point. I also got a rice plate with honey siracha grilled chicken which was super good. The rice was really good (and yes it was just basic white rice but the grain was almost like a sushi rice grain) and the vegetables were super fresh. I can't wait to go back and try their Pho. Unfortunately I had a rather unpleasant experience here today as I came in and saw 4 people waiting. My order was taken quickly but there was a rather long wait time, as one lady got 4 drinks and another couple had two. It was a lot of work for one guy and I get it as each is made to order. As I was last to order I waited and then was told that they were out of boba. 3 out of the 7 drinks ahead of mine had boba and it was only around 2 pm and they were out. Seems like since he took my order he could have known to ration it or let me know ahead of time, when he used it all. It was unfortunate because I came specifically for the boba because it was so delicious last time, some of the best I've had. They are being VERY safe during this time. It's great to see a business taking the health & safety of their customers this seriously. They have a great variety of milk tea & other drinks, & the food is amazing. I recommend checking out the menu online before you go, if you've never been there, just to get an idea of how to assemble/what goes into their drinks, but even if you don't, they have very friendly wait staff who will guide you through the process. I love boba. I'm spoiled because I've had great boba in several cities and now my hometown has a fantastic boba place. But this shop is going to be a hard NO!! for me. First off, there was one person in front of us who put in their order and stepped aside for us to move up. We ordered 3 different teas, light ice in each, two with tapioca boba, one plain. Straight forward order. While ordering, 2 more people came in behind us and put in their order after we paid and stepped out of the way. The person in front of us received their tea about a minute later. There were originally 2 guys behind the counter and now there were 4. ALL FOUR EMPLOYEES proceeded to make themselves a tea drink. ALL OF THEM. While we stood there waiting. One of them goofed off and tossed an empty milk jug and then threw it into the garbage, then went and made himself a tea. Then the guy who ordered after us got his 3-layer Cosmic tea (Something like that - it looked pretty. And complicated.). And still we stood, and stood, and finally they yelled out my daughter's order - Thai tea with tapioca boba PACKED WITH ICE. I asked if that was light ice and the guy said "yes!" so since NO one else was working on a tea, I said "I want way LESS ice for my 'light ice' order please". And the guy made my tea and put a teeny bit of ice in it. I was like, (whatever!) that is Perfect. And then he made my hubby's straight tea. It took almost 20 minutes to get our teas made and handed to us!! WT actual heck??! Not sure WHAT that was but it was POOR SERVICE and the tapioca boba was starting to get tough so there's no way I will go back and waste my time and money. Do I feel strongly about this? Yup.
