Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba - unsweetened & no ice
    Mannie S.

I have been thinking about if or how I should write a review for Boba Mi Amor. It is a bit tricky. First of ALL, I love this place for so many reasons. BUT, I can also see how this place is not for everyone. I love this place is because they make their flavors using real ingredients in house, like real fruit or real taro root. This means that I get to take in fruit (wink wink) when I drink my fruity drink rather than artificial fake syrup. But this also means that their flavors are not intense as what many people are used to with those commercial syrups. This also means that their taro drink does not have that shinning purple color many are used to. Also, the price tags are also a little steep compared to most places. But well, buying real thing is never cheap, right? In most boba places, I stick to unsweetened milk tea with boba. It can be regular black milk tea, or milk tea with jasmine green tea, oolong tea, pu-er tea, or whatever the place has in house. I stay away from any syrupy or powdery drinks by all means. For Boba Mi Amor, I started with their jasmine milk tea in their soft opening. It was great, but not really "wow" honestly. Then I got to try their taro latte. That's WOW! First time ever I got to drink real taro drink outside of my house in El Paso. I am so happy about that just because it's on the menu. That being said, the natural taro taste is just not that strong, so I was slightly dissatisfied. The next time, I fixed it by asking for extra taro as a topping. Now, that's spot on!! (dancing~) Another thing I tried and fell in love with is the Matcha Mango Latte with Egg Pudding topping. The Matcha Latte and the house Mango puree were both good by themselves, but great when they came together. What really impressed me was their egg pudding. Honestly, I did not expect this to be house-made as well. I haven't check with the lovely owner ladies yet, but I am decently confident that they make their egg pudding themselves by the texture and taste... according to my almost 30-year boba drinking experience. (lol, yes, I came from the island where boba drink was invented, so....) Their egg pudding's taste is something between vanilla panna cotta and flan. Heavenly! I am going to start adding egg pudding to all my drinks in the future. I am pretty sure Boba Mi Amor is going to ruin my diet plan this winter, but well, I just need to work out more for the yumminess I guess....

Just adding a typo fix...seems like I can't edit my review after a certain period: drink was NOT watered down :) still think about the taro...

Really loved the matcha strawberry boba! The owner is so sweet too. Very engaging and lovely ambiance. I prefer coming here even though I have another boba store closer.

we tried this place a little bit ago, and i just have to say - what a phenomenal hidden gem here in El Paso. everything is fresh - and real - so yea, you pay more - but what you get is absolutely divine. i can't say enough praises about this cute place, from the kind lady behind the counter, to the menu, to the decor, to the combo of flavors, to the actual taste - ten stars. even down to the cute little cup. all the heart eyes. definitely stop in, you won't regret it!

I gave off fan girl vibes when I visited this cute little boba place in Mesa. I am obsessed. The decor...the menu, chef kiss! I can't wait to try it very single drink! And can I say how adorable are these cups? And earth friendly straws, you cannot go wrong. And omg cheesefoam? This brings me to the days of 85C bakery in Glendale. The only thing that I would hope improve since they just opened is the strength of their jasmine tea because with my cheesefoam obsession, the cream overpowered the tea and I can barely taste the fragrance of the jasmine tea. But overall fun and super positive experience! Now go get your cheesefoam

Went to try out this boba place that we spotted before heading to dinner. It is a small cute place and what caught my attention that they have the avocado smooth. However, when I ordered it, they told me it was seasonal. Therefore, I give this place a 4.5 stars. We ended up getting the classic milk tea, the jasmine tea, and the pinky milk( which was recommended for kids) the pinky milk has a bubblegum taste to it. Overall I can say that the classic milk tea and jasmine tea was delicious. You can never go wrong with the classic but I would say that not all places make it good, which is why I say Boba Mi Amor was delicious, it had this taste taste that reminded me of a milky drink I use to drink as a child, just can't pin point the right drink but I knew I loved it lol

It's true, Boba is my love and I've found my BOBA BAE at Boba Mi Amor. They do it right here. Most people think that it's called "bubble tea" because of the boba tapioca balls, but it's not. It's actually because of the foam that "bubbles" up when the tea, syrups, and cream mix together and become airy and frothy. This place nails the foam. They also have somehow duplicated the correct texture and temperature of the tapioca balls. In Asia, and other places in the U.S with a large Asian diaspora, when you order boba tea, unlike here in El Paso, the tapioca balls are warm, slighty chewy, and has a lingering sweetness. It's supposed to stand out in texture and taste from the actual liquid it's suspended in (milk tea, Thai tea, taro milk tea, etc) even if the drink is cold, the boba is warm. I haven't had the pleasure of having authentic boba milk tea in El Paso, until I tried Boba Mi Amor's. Turns out, the owners have lived in China and travelled around Asia and have taken courses on traditional boba milk teas. They wanted to bring an artisanal experience to El Paso and like a lot of tea shops in the Asian community they're also open late from 11:30am-9pm. I tried their Thai Milk Tea with Boba and Coffee Jelly and their Jasmine Boba Milk Tea. Their Thai Milk Tea might be my favorite drink as it's perfectly sweet. The coffee jelly was a stark and sharp contrast to the soft chewiness of the boba. I don't think I would combine those 2 again as the texture was odd and too jarring. They use compostable straws and the servings are generous. The Jasmine Milk Tea was really good, usually with Jasmine tea, there's an tannin finish, but it's smoothed out with the creaminess of the half and half. The tea wasn't overly sweet and you can taste the delicate tea flavor. There's no powders or artificial flavors here. They hand steep their teas, they cook their bobas daily (which means they might run out), and their simple syrup and dairy blends are made in house. The owners are proud of their craft and wanted to bring the authentic boba house experience they found in Asia with a El Paso twist, so be on the lookout for some new flavors that celebrates that and they will have something soon that I've been craving...sea salt cheese foam!!! I'm also trying to convince them to make boba ice cream and sandos in addition to the Taiyaki that they make in house. Come check them out and #supportlocal. Prices are fair ($5+) and they decor is IG-worthy. You'll probably see me there as I get my back cracked next door (which is why I've been patiently stalking their Grand Opening). Classic Milk Tea with no boba because I don't need the extra carbs

Great, solid milk tea. Small place though. Big plus that they use paper straws!!! The Decour was beautiful there was a bubble gum bubble that was really good for a child's palette. 4.5 stars because the avocado was seasonal. Will be back to try out all their drinks since it's right next to the vape shop I like. You know it's legit when they have salted crepe and cheese foam. Of course, it was my first time so I got the jasmine and classic milk tea. Both were amazing. I was reluctant to try out their Thai tea because I was worried it would taste generic like the canned ones with the weak artificial taste. Must try out all the milk teas! This place has got quite the variety.

No customer service at all, the girls working there did not acknowledged us at all. When I was going to pay, she didn't say anything either she just told me my total. Second, the frozen yogurt was not really frozen it was watery and the flavor was just not there. Since we got there around 8, they had already turned off the music.

There are other frozen yogurt shops with a similar set up in the EP area, but OL has a great family environment with its wacky seating and bold orange everywhere. I would totally recommend this place to anyone with kids! I can't remember specifically how many different flavors they have available, but the last time I went in they had coconut, strawberry, white chocolate covered strawberries, caramel apple, original (always my fave), and a few others including a holiday flavor. Any time throwing toppings on top is left to me I just choose what I want to eat, not what I want to eat with the Fro Yo per se. I did post pictures of the toppings available if you want an idea of what's there. You can't go wrong with Butterfingers, cherries and pomegranate seeds...well unless of course you mix them together.

We went for hazelnut crunch paleta + dark chocolate dip + m&m and pecan paleta + white chocolate dip + pecans. Both were delicious and super filling for a great price ($5.50/bar). Next time I go I want to try out a fruit-flavored bar (strawberry or banana, maybe?) with chocolate-forward toppings. They had some interesting bar flavors that we'll have to test out later - taro, Kit Kat, avocado, and more! Helpful and quick service and clean place. Worth the visit!

You can pick from a wide variety of agua based and crema based flavors, traditional and new, all delicious. They also have a variety of aguas frescas. You can try them out first. For paletas I tried a naked strawberry Mango paleta. Noah went with a half dress watermelon paleta half dipped in Tajín and drizzled with chamoy. Noemi went big and tried a Kit Kat paleta dipped in white chocolate, then in Oreos, and finally drizzled in white chocolate. They enjoyed their after school surprise snack. The place also does elote.
