I never leave bad reviews; let alone barely any. However, service and drink here is absolutely terrible that I felt pretty strongly inclined to. Both people that were tending the counter didn't greet me or looked remotely happy to be there when I walked in, and even after I said, "Thank you" as I walked out, no words were reciprocated. On top of that, their "Vietnamese coffee" does not taste anything like what it is advertised to be. I do not recommend until they can get their people trained up on how to make customers a tad bit more welcomed. read more

I'm not a huge fan of boba but this place was very good. I got the creme brûlée. Brown sugar boba, toasted sugar top, foamed cream cheese and idk what else was in it but man flavor bomb for sure. Friendly staff and happy to answer any questions for first timers. Also got Oreo cheese cake and a sea salt pearl cake. They are good but they are a Japanese style cheese cake so dense like a pound cake. And the foamed topping tastes like sweet butter. Not bad but this is a more savory dessert than sweet. Holy diabetes Batman! I stumbled on their soft opening from 1pm-8pm after dinner at Aguachiles next door. They were very busy and already ran out of desserts. I ordered their creme brulee dirty boba ($6.75) with extra crystal boba ($0.75). Their Dirty Boba is a fresh milk drink lined all around with brown sugar caramel, topped off with our house-made Cheese Milk Foam, and capped with a creme brûlée top. IT'S SO SWEET, that it's cloying and they didn't ask what level of sweetness I wanted, which is apparently their schtick, but didn't implement at all. I didn't like it, hubby said he liked it. The boba was perfectly chewy and soft, the crystal boba was standard since it comes premade. The ratio of boba to drink was good. Ambiance: I know it's a soft opening but no one greeted us and they left the drinks on the bar without calling out the name. A little service would be nice. The layout is also really weird and uncomfortable. It's just long and narrow and you have to walk very close to the tables. I get it in high density Asian cities but we're in Texas, we have space to spread out and roam! Plus the chairs are little low stools that I worry I might break. Prices and sizes: they're pretty standard, with the new tall slim cups, and the extras are a bit more than Rare Tea and they didn't fill up the cup to the top like Rare Tea did. Bottom line, I still think Rare Tea's Caramelized Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk is still superior and locally owned Boba Mi Amor beats both with price, service, AND they make things fresh without powders. read more

I like this place! It's one of the few good boba places in EP. My favorite is the kiwi green tea with basil seeds. It is super refreshing and cooling for a hot summer day!! I also like the decors of this place, it would be great to do some remote work here. My critique is that their tea can be over brewed, which causes them to become super bitter. I took a class in nyc one time where I learned for certain loose leaf tea you can only brew for 5 minutes so that the flavor is balanced. I asked Feng cha about this and they said they brew their tea "cold brew" style, 12 hours overnight. I can't judge if it's the right practice, given my limited experience, but just wanted to throw the comparison in here. read more

Hands down, the best boba I have had here in El Paso. Very unique flavor combinations using freshly brewed teas and fruits. I absolutely love that they offer a sparkling water as a caffeine free alternative! Although some may disagree, the menu was just long enough for us to find what we wanted. Instagram worthy cafe with heavenly desserts! Went and finally tried Feng Cha tea house at Cimarron. The sea salt pearl and tiramisu japanese style cheesecake was out of this world. It is a concoction of sweet and salty goodness. Brings back childhood memories and taste of home. I also ordered their crime brûlée dirty boba (dirty just means it is caffeinated). It was creamy and kissed with brown sugar syrup and a soft top of cheese foam. And I died when I realized the top was a caramelized crust of brown sugar just like a crème brûlée. They give you a choice of sweetness level and the amounts of ice, which is a nice consideration. Mine was 75% sweet but it was hair sweeter than I would drink it but it is still pleasant. So for those that don't like too much sweet, I would suggest 25%. The decor was posh and lovely and very instagram worthy. It is a soft opening right now so they are open 1-8pm. read more

I literally cried when I saw their business sign was up couple months ago. I used to live in California and boba is my comfort drink. I moved to El Paso more than a year ago for work and there are not any good authentic boba place around here. The opening day here in Fengcha was crazy, it was very busy but it's all worth it. I got my boba fixed. My favorites were the basil kiwi drink and creme brulee dirty boba. Yes! I got 2 drinks for myself because I aint gonna wait in line all this time for just 1 drink and wish i could have bought another one. This is gonna be my little happiness of everyday. I was so excited seeing that this place was coming to EP. The place is clean and decorated well but I dont think the staff was ready for the amount of business they attracted. Ive been there three times already and the first time they completely forgot about my friend's and I's drinks, and even though they gave us a free drink if we wouldnt have saved our receipt I dont think they wouldve made our order. So save your receipts if you go because it feels like they dont trust the customers to pick up their orders without proof (all other times i was asked to show my receipt to the guy behind the counter). Also, its a bit expensive for just tea and I hate when they charge extra for boba- thats the main item/selling point on the menu and yet they charge extra? The cakes are really good but they run out very fast even when it looks like they have plenty of people behind the counter. read more
