There were 2 people working there and behind the counter. No one greeted us. We looked at the menu and though we could have ordered at the counter, the staff didn't seem friendly like they wanted to be approached so we chose to order at the computerized kiosk! Other Yelpers said prices were average, but I thought the drinks were expensive! They start around $7 but that most do not include toppings, and each topping was $0.75. That adds up! (My go-to boba place in Santa Cruz has boba for $5.50, which includes 2 toppings, so....this seems like highway robbery.) Due to the high prices, out of three of us, we only ordered two drinks and only one of the drinks had an added topping. When they were done making the drinks, one drink had the plastic top sealed on and the other was placed on the counter. The staffer walked away. I was unsure if I should just take the drinks. They were clearly our drinks (I could see they were ours, plus we were the only customers), but it was odd the man put the drink there and walked away without saying anything! No communication, no eye contact. Nothing. After several minutes, he returned to complete the plastic cup cover sealing, and then he placed the cup in front of me. No "thank you", no "here you go", no "enjoy", nothing. It was odd. Other than the prices, the flavor of the boba was okay in flavor and chewiness, but the strawberry matcha drink had effects that, let's just say, caused someone hours of bathroom trips! We don't know if it was the milk or some other ingredient, but something was not right. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Soul Sweet. The store looked so cute in the photos, I think it had potential, but the freshness is important and price is an important factor.

For the few times I've eaten here and gotten boba during meetings, I have to say that I've enjoyed my experiences and considering the slugs lucky to have a spot like Iveta. There are two sections to the restaurant- one which focuses on actual food and the other a cafe that serves boba and beer, two of my favorite things. My take on the boba is that it gets the job done. It's nothing special and the boba pearls are not the best, but if you're craving some, then they are totally fine. Plus, their catering staff is great and are able to accommodate large boba orders if needed. As for the food, I got a chance to try their poke bowl which is incredibly massive. I'm used to ordering poke from other college campuses that come in very small portions, so the fact that they load you up here is great. Only gripes are that they don't add more toppings vs. the rice ratio in the bowl, and you aren't able to order just toppings as a side. My colleague wanted just seaweed salad but they had no way of ringing it up. Overall, Iveta is a solid campus eatery for students and one that I see myself stopping by again, if at least to get my boba cravings out of the way.

Of their drinks on the menu, white champaca, white champaca oolong, dancong, white champaca matcha are the top drinks I cycle through. Although they recommend 70%, I actually prefer 30% sweetness, less ice. Truly brings out the tea flavor. This location had a new drink Camellia during the LNY. However, I have not seen it on the menu since March. Hopefully they'll bring it back. They now have order online via their website (chowbus), and I recently learned that they have an app. This makes ordering drinks at this location easy since it is located in corner strip mall with minimal parking.

The Sunnyvale location opened in late 2024 as its first West Coast location, there was a crazy long line that I witnessed during opening week. Molly Tea recently got into some legal trouble with Louis Vuitton in China over its four-petal floral logo. LV won the case, and Molly Tea was ordered to pay about RMB 10.3 million. Molly Tea plans to appeal. Anyway, I actually really like the tea here. The jasmine flavor comes through nicely, and I like that the sweetness isn't overpowering. Definitely a nice milk tea spot in Sunnyvale!
