Frankly speaking, I've never been overly fanatical about Boba/bubble tea. Being Asian myself, I frequent boba tea shops simply because my friends go so much. Yet I never understood why my friends rave and rant about how delicious boba tea drinks are. I thought they were just overly-sweet liquids laden with unnecessary calories... However, Bobaddiction changed my opinion when I first had them at the Dragonboat Festival: the sweet aroma of Jasmine and Classic teas (the two flavors me and my friend got) blended in seamlessly with the perfect amount of sweetness, the texture of which was further enriched by the bouncily chewy tapioca balls!! I felt as if I was swimming in a chilled milky ocean! Maybe it was due to the Texas hot weather, but I thought it was the best boba tea I've ever tasted! WOW!! So when I was invited to a sneak preview a couple of weeks later, I was ecstatic that they are also coming out with shaved snow...Now, I've always loved shaved ice, with various sweet toppings such as jelly and green beans laced with condensed milk. But bobaddiction's SHAVED SNOW is a different game, it's much more fluffy and smooth than traditional shaved ice, and they put ample amounts of real fresh fruits on top of them! Loved it baby! Gotta admit, I had been pretty impressed by BAD's ice desserts so far. I hope that these guys can keep up with this kind of quality once their truck opens! read more

Born and raised in the birthplace of bubble tea, Taichung, Taiwan, I've grown a dainty taste when it comes to boba tea. Despite the funny-looking Mickey-mouse-lookalike noseless Panda mascot, their green milk tea with boba is by far the best one I've ever had in the US. Especially the light aromatic smell exuded from the cold surface of the tea. If you're getting the green milk tea (don't forget the boba), don't drink it before you smell it. I had tried their bubble tea once when they visited SMU campus. It was pretty good. So naturally my coworkers and I were stoked when we saw them scheduled for UT Dallas last week (we are staff). We hiked over in heels and waited 10-15 minutes in high 90s weather, soaking thru with sweat in our work clothes only to find out that the bubble tea flavor we wanted was sold out!!! I saw a sold out sign on another drink but there was not a sign on our drink choice. What made things worse was that the server/business owner was non apologetic. They add such a unique touch to every wedding, and they deliver a delicious, quality product for all the wedding guests. I am Taiwanese, so I know a thing or two about bubble tea. Apart from the diverse selection of drink flavours, one of the things that sets them apart is that their drinks don't have ice. Milk tea will always taste good at the beginning, however, as the ice melts, the flavor is diluted, and you're drinking milky water after 15 minutes. These guys have invested in large cooling dispensers that will keep the teas and juices cold, so we can enjoy the beverage from beginning to end. Thanks to Bobaddiction for making my first boba tea and starting my insane addiction to boba! Their flavored teas are so delicious and have a different kind of sweetness compared to a lot of other boba places. I am not sure how they sweeten their teas/boba but it tastes like candy. I have only tried the fruit-based teas, not any of the milk-based tea yet. I really can't pick a favorite because they are all so good. I had the passionfruit tea today, and before have tried the peach green tea, lychee tea, strawberry black tea. They are all very refreshing. read more

Went to Monkey King Noodle Company for lunch and saw the Bobaddiction truck parked by MKNC. Intrigued by it's creative design my friend and I decided to take a look at the menu. We were in love with the menu, it was simple and affordable. They also allow you to sample the different flavors they have. After tasting the Jasmine Green Tea I was absolutely in love. I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea and my friend ordered the Taro Milk Tea and Mango Shaved Ice. The drinks came out first and the shaved ice took a bit longer, but trust me it's worth the wait so be patient! The Jasmine Milk Tea has the perfect amount of Jasmine flavor and sweetness, and the amount of boba is perfect too. The mango shaved ice is served with plenty of mango, vanilla ice cream, and some boba on the side. It is one of the best shaved ice I've had in Dallas, and it's probably one of the best in Texas. I'll definitely be going back to Bobaddiction whenever I get the chance! read more

I'm Taiwanese and I grew up drinking boba milk tea, so my expectations are different and I pray that one day a real quality authentic Taiwanese milk tea place in Dallas will appear. For your reference, so far the best boba I tasted in the states is half and half tea in LA. Boba addiction is great comparing to the other places around Dallas, but I believe it can be better... Bobaddiction has very friendly workers and they have so many different options other than boba. They don't have that many add ons into the boba drinks, like tiny tapioca and a large variety of jelly or puddings, but maybe this is to be expected from a food truck. They have the dual drink option for $6.50, which I really enjoyed since. I was excited to see they also offered the egg waffle, which you can either get with toppings such as Nutella, or naked for $5. Their actual tapioca is an off texture. We bought an extra drink and even after the drink sat for hours, the tapioca balls still had a tough core, like a rubber eraser. read more

It's a hot Texas day at the index fest and I needed something chilled to keep me going. Looking around and I see in the food truck corner a really cute panda bear clear as day with bright colors surrounding him. It's a lovely boba tea truck. But that is not all they sell. I got a very generous portion of something new to me, strawberry shaved snow. I've had shaved ice before, but shaved snow is much more fine and fluffy. The tapioca bubbles were chewy and the right flavor. The strawberries were obviously fresh and chilled. They were the best strawberries I have ever had! The vanilla ice cream on the top was pure bliss! All this loveliness for $8 for a serving for 2-3 people. Great desert, great service, for a great price! It was my first time trying Bobaddiction last night and it was an absolutely WONDERFUL experience~!! I've actually worked at a boba place before and I have also tried a lot of boba in the metroplex and not just for a food truck but for boba in dallas I can say it is awesome! It's the real deal. The places I've tried before never have the right consistency in the boba or the jelly but Bobbadiction definitely does! I've also never had boba at a place in Dallas where I actually wanted to try the jellies because they are usually overly sweet or just ruin the flavor of the boba but thier jellies actually went very well with the flavors of the tea it was and awesome experience and I would definitely reccomend it to anybody!! Randy and the whole bobaddiction team are amazing, hands down. We booked them as a vendor for our wedding and they were a hit!!! People came back for seconds and thirds...no lie, their boba drinks were the bomb. We originally ordered only 150 drinks, thinking that it was going to be too much but it ended up being WAY too little. But Randy and his team accommodated our guests until he ran out and people were so sad to see them closing shop. My cousin, who never heard of them before, sought them out after the wedding. Their Taro milk tea was one of the best I've ever tasted, if not the best. I heard rave reviews about the honeydew milk tea too but sadly, as the bride, I only got to have one taro and the rest went to my guests. I've heard bout Bobaddiction before but never try it. Me and my cousin saw their truck at Asian Time Square last night so we lined up. We were pretty excited and the line was long. We shared a large ($5) green milk tea with jelly as topping. I was sooo disappointed! Wth this is the worst boba tea ever and I'm the biggest fan of boba. I literally tried it everywhere I go from state to state and around Texas.I work in places that make boba tea before so I know what boba should taste like and this is not it. The boba tea we got is so thin, there is no tea. I'm pretty sure its just powder mix with water. It's not even decent. The texture is super thin, no tea flavor. Topping is so little, like half of what you usually get from other place and this is a large cup. I was so surprised it's this bad? Did I have high hopes or? The other reviews aren that bad,did they have a bad day? I dont know but my first experience is really bad. I'm usually not this harsh but I take my drink seriously and I don't know what happened but it is really bad. It's water diluted with powder and a thin layer of topping. If I ever see them again in the future, I might just give it another try but I'm a bit hesitant thanks to this first drink read more

This review is long overdue but better late than never! Bobaddiction catered for our wedding on December 8, 2013. I am a true boba lover and having boba served at our wedding was one of the things I couldn't live without! It was definitely a dream come true! We looked at two other boba places in the DFW area but they just couldn't compete with what Bobaddiction had to offer. We met all of the partners and everyone was very personable and customer-centered. They listened to what we wanted and what our "boba goals" were in terms of the wedding. We wanted drink flavors that were universal to everyone but not too heavy since we also had an open bar and were serving horderves. We started with a formal tasting of a bunch of the teas I thought I might want and narrowed down our selection to three different kinds; honeydew milk tea (non-caffeinated), passion green tea, and the classic. We were able to customize the level of sweetness, boba texture (more soft than firm), amount of ice, and cup size. On our wedding day, the Bobaddiction team came to our venue early to set up their booth. The teas was set up in a three compartment dispenser and hand-shaked (the classic way to make bubble tea) to order. Our guests loved it, we loved it and it was the talk of the night! We would recommend Bobaddiction to any boba enthusiast who would like to have boba catered at their event! read more

Loved it! We stopped at their boba-truck in the Dallas Arts District and it was actually really great. I got the classic milk tea and my boyfriend got the Thai tea. There are certain places where the classic is either too watered down tasting, or it's so heavy that it tastes like pure sugar. This one was the right mix though :) pretty average priced as well, no more expensive than any other boba places, but definitely better quality. Guy running this place was awesome. The product was good but I'm new to the Boba drinks and couldn't decide. The guy running the truck walked me through the list and then let me try samples to find something that would make my first visit enjoyable. I picked Honey dew, and boy was that delicious. There is a big Honey dew melon flavor with a subtle milkiness to finish it off. The best word to describe it is refreshing. Next visit I'll try others because it was still a close call with the classic and the green tea. read more
