In reality, the matcha was weak, the milk barely even strawberry flavored, and the cup was tiny - pretty much the size of the palm of my hand. I think they use high fructose since i had a reaction on this visit. I can't confirm, but my body said it didn't like it. We are familiar with water ice having visited Philly. It's not a slushy like it sounds like. It's an icy scoopable treat similar to sorbet but sweeter. The ambiance was fun and energetic. So I have been wanting to check out So Icy for a minute because my friend has been talking about it, and there is even a tik tock about it. I checked out reviews online and saw the menu, so I had an idea of what I wanted to try. I also noticed comments about them selling out before the end of their posted hours. I think we got there about 7, and we saw a line as we pulled up unto the parking lot they are located in.. it is a big parking lot but it is packed because of their location. As we walked up, we started seeing people walking away...that was because they had used all of their toppings and only had a little bit of mango and lemon left. What I appreciated, though, is they passed out what they had left for free and passed out rewards cards for your next visit. For me, the mango was a little sweet for my taste, but the lemon was more my speed, a little tart, and it cut the sweetness. I will definitely go back so I can get the whole experience. Let me be the first to tell you that if you think that you have until closing time to make your way here, you might get here and find yourself disappointed because they will likely be sold out. We arrived on a Saturday early evening and as others have stated it's a small shed with a window to order from but I don't recall anyone ever calling it an ice cream shop. This is ice water, no exactly a snow cone and not ice cream but definitely something nice to have, especially on a hot day. When we arrived there was a small line and folks sitting in their cars or at the tables under the tent enjoying their treat. Folks were quick to let us know that they only had two flavors left so we needed to be quick and they didn't tell no lie. We literally were the last to get what they had and she was literally scraping the bottom of the container to get it for us. The lemon is refreshing and tart, the mango is sweet and delicious. I've been following & supporting this business for years when I found out the owner is a fellow Philadelphian so when a stand opened up in Carrollton I was hype. I'll never patronize again. I went back and asked the worker to reheat it, thinking she didn't give it enough time to cook-- then l see she's using an airfryer. BIG NO NO. pizza pretzels are typically made in the microwave. Not sure if they were limited due to space but pretzels or any bread in an airfryer makes it hard. I had to bring the pretzel home & microwave it to salvage my $12. The regular size ice is the smallest cup for $6. $18 for an almost inedible pretzel and water ice, only for the worker to say "the pretzel was only $10." I said the price list says $12 and you charged me $18. She said the xtra $2 was tax. Someone should educate her on tax while she's trying to insult my intelligence.
