Great selection, friendly staff. Zero attitude about substitutions or additions. The shop is clean, blender are new and spotless, and checkout is fast and easy. If I am swamped at work and need a fast or light meal, this is the spot. My normal order is The Emerald with an extra scoop of whey protein and a scoop of peanut butter. The 24oz made that way is around $9 and fills me up for the day. Cheaper and better for my dad-bod than a burger, sandwich, or burrito. Parking is good, but getting in and out of the lot can be challenging right at lunch. There is a coffee place on the corner so you can make it a one stop shop for breakfast or lunch. read more

Super disappointed with my visit today. Walked in to two customers with no masks on and the worker with her mask only covering her chin. All customers should be required to wear a mask or no service. Once she took my order she then covered her mouth excluding her nose. She also used the same gloves to take the trash out from under the counter and then continued to make the 2 of 2 drinks i ordered???? I was disgusted and won't be coming back to this location. Other employees here I've come across have been properly and seriously following new guidelines in regards to COVID which is why i still rate it a 2 star. Years ago I used to stop by Emerald City Smoothie in Columbia Tower for an energy boosting beverage before heading back to work. I always got the Berry Berry. Since I'm no longer hanging out downtown I'm super happy they have a couple locations in the southend. The one I go to is located in Meeker Square which is one block north of where the old K-Mart used to be. Every time I visit this Kent shop there's always people walking in and out. It's a super busy place but the employees behind the counter are really good with keeping up with the orders and they make sure to acknowledge their customers when they walk in. read more

FRAUD!!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! Ive had 2 cards with fraud charges come to me in the matter of one week I had come here for my lunch for several weeks straight. Fraud dept and notified me of unauthorized charges for several hundred dollars. Couldn't really trace it to any place. A few days later it happened again with a card I'd only used a couple times. One of my purchases being at emerald smoothie. Later that night the fraud dept called me again notifying me that someone had spent $1400 out of my account at Bellevue square. I absolutely love Emerald City Smoothies! They're a great pick me up or meal replacement when I don't have time for much else. I frequent this store at least once a week, so I guess I would be considered a regular. The girls are super sweet and make good drinks, which makes a world of difference! I've definitely had unsatisfactory drinks from other ECS franchises, and it's a huge let down, not to mention $7 bucks down the drain. Which isn't much, but can add up quickly especially on the weeks that I'm there multiple times and/or getting multiple drinks. Be sure to get a punch card so you can earn points towards a free smoothie! In addition to the girls being friendly & making good drinks, they are quick! They get you in and out within a few minutes. Even if it's lunch hour and there's a line, they are ver do a very efficient and do a good job! The owner is often in the store as well and is very cool! This is always a favorite of mines for lunch. Its a healthy alternative to fast food. I would come here sometimes weeks on end. As far as this and other smoothie shops like Jamba Juice and its likes, this by far is the best of the bunch. The price is affordable and there are plenty of options, boosters, and supplements to satisfy anyones palate. Even if your not counting calories theres are drinks like PB&J thats sitting well over 700 Calories. Add a couple boosters and herbal supplements and your not feeling to guilty about ordering it :) In the last 6 months I've received 6 free drinks for filling up those punch cards.Thats how often I come down. Call it my second coffee of the day :) I just wished the new Southcenter Emerald City punched cards as well. Cheapos! All in all the price is great and its a healthy alternative to fastfood. The staff is very knowledgable in regards to the products and drinks they have to offer. Just ask them if you cant decide from the vast menu of options all along the wall. Whats great is how the menu is laid out, showing calories and additionaly nutrietional facts. Whatever your looking for in a drink you should be able to find something. If its just for a snack in the middle of the day to your full lunch meal, this should satisify your stomach until dinner time. Also it will provide you with the energy you need before or after any workout. Most drinks should run you under 5.00. So this makes it a perfect alternative for any lunch. Also like myself, if you still need something to chew on, there are low fat, low calorie Ostrich Pepperoni Sticks available. Dont let the Ostrich part scare you, it taste great. I never write reviews, but this Emerald City Smoothie and a very special employee, Raven, deserves recognition. I live in Alabama and my mom was very ill and wouldn't eat much. When I came home to help her, I bought her a Lean Out smoothie for some nutrition. She loved it! I would stop by almost every day to see Raven and get her a smoothie. When it was time for me to go back to Alabama, I introduced my dad to Raven, so when he would stop by, she would know what to make for him to bring home for my mom, as he's a little forgetful. Raven is very caring, sweet, thoughtful, helpful and professional young lady. She is truly amazing! I am forever grateful for her and I know my mom was happy too! Thank you for everything! read more

The ladies who run this ECS location are always friendly and keep a convo with you while making your drink. I stay true to the Sambazon smoothie. It's always made right whenever I get it here. I love that they carry Bobo Oat Bars. It's a great grab and go snack when you're on the run. I'd probably come here everyday if I could, but ECS drinks can be pricey, so it's a nice treat every once in awhile. read more

They didn't acknowledge my friend or me, nobody smiled, nobody said thank you or have a good day, nobody was genuine. They handed me my smoothie without a single word and immediately turned around and started smiling and being friendly and flirty to the men behind us. The smoothie itself deserves a 5-star rating, but I believe that customer service is just as important as product. I went yesterday, and there was a lady and a man working. I had never been to Emerald City, so naturally I had a couple of questions. Some of the smoothies had the option of "choosing a flavor" - so I was asking for a list of what those were. Turns out that the flavors are syrups- but there is no list. I didn't want any added sugars or syrups- I was looking for an all natural option. Apparently the Go Green is the list to choose from if you prefer all natural- but the guy was so sarcastic when I was trying to understand what the different selections were, and made me feel very unwelcome. I asked if the peanut butter was real, and the sarcastic "I would hope so" was meant to make me feel stupid. I explained, since they have syrups, and there is a peanut butter syrup (they don't have, but I didn't know)- I just wanted to make sure. My brother was with me, and he very cheerily and audibly said "Thank you" as he walked out- they were dull and didn't even acknowledge him. I live a couple blocks away and was excited for this store to open. I am very disappointed and would hope that the staff would be more helpful, and kind to future customers. read more
