On friday last week I took in 2 jackets to be cleaned , the desk person told me that it would be $12/jacket , then on going to collect them today , I was confronted with a bill for $47 , I couldnt believe it , when I challenged this , the lady ( who was quite pleasant) told me it was actually $15 per jacket , and wait for it , are you ready for this , an extra $7 each to clean the jackets hoods????? About a month ago I dropped off a pair of jeans to be hemmed. After I picked them up and tried them on, I found they had been hemmed 3 inches too short. The tags were still on them indicating they should be hemmed at a 24 1/2 inch inseam, but mine were 21 1/2 inseam. I brought them back to a very helpful counter person, alterations looked at them and measured them. I was told they would notify the manager and she would contact me. The counter person called me back the next day and said the manager suggested that they could find the fabric that had been cut off and sew it back on. Really? I said no, they would never look the same, and I wanted them replaced. Since then I have called a number of times and have never received a call back from the manager. It seems her customer service is to ignore the customer and hope they go away. read more

Maybe I am spoiled. I lived in South Tahoe for 38 years. Classic cleaners in Tahoe prided themselves on taking care of the American Flag, specifically cleaning and light repair. It was done for free. I was going to drop off my flag at Bobby Page's but they wanted to charge $36 for the hemming. This did not include cleaning. I am not apposed for the cleaners charging a minimal fee because business is business. But $36 is a bit much. Showing a little patriotism and doing the work on the flag for free or for a mininal fee at best would be nice. I am sure doing this would increase business. How much does it cost to do a little hemming and cleaning on our flag that represents our country. BTW, when I tried to drop off the flag and was told the price, I mentioned Tahoe. This particular review is about a sewing repair we had done on a favorite comforter. My previous review of dry cleaning services stands as is. I brought a comforter in to have a seam repaired. It really seemed like an easy fix. The only reason I didn't fix it myself is because I don't have a sewing machine. The repair that was done is horrible. Thankfully, the top side looks fine, but the underside is mangled. I wish I had just hand-stitched it myself. read more

I had another review written, and decided not to bore with the long explanation, but this I think is my first negative review and after almost a year still feeling the same about this business. It is time again for me to seek the services that Bobby Pages provides, and the particular location at 1310 S. Stewart St. is where this review is meant for and I don't plan on returning here again. Back in April 2023 was the last time I would do business at Bobby Pages. There were other customers already in the lobby, fighting and yelling with the owners, but my colleague and I were calm, patient, and respectful while there and wasn't causing any trouble like the others. I was treated poorly by those who I believe to be the management/owners. To keep things simple here are some reasons for the review. - Got back my alterations which were finished incorrectly and got blamed for them being incorrect by the manager though I wasn't the one noting or doing the alterations. - Had to come back a day or so before I needed the items and have the issues corrected and I was charged for a "expedited service". - The lady who I believe is the manager/owner even asked me if I thought I should be charged the extra money. I said "no because I honestly don't believe I was at fault but you guys run your business how you like, and I still do need the items for a trip the next day". We dropped off the items way in advance to give them all the time to do the work nicely as it involved uniforms. - A small "discount"on the amount I shouldn't have been charge was deducted on the total but they still decided to charge me though I've been coming to Bobby Pages for years and even know a few of their employees. My colleague who has an account there also experiencing the same issue on his order was next. The lady manager who I believe is named Amy, dealt with him just after charging my card and right in front of me told him that "they would just credit his account for the full amount" and kinda gave him a weird smile like it was favor which he shouldn't have been charged in the first place either. The look on my friend's face confirmed that we both knew that wasn't right, especially since we were there for the exact same reason and that they charged me and turn around and not charge him. Overall, this is one of those reviews that I see people post that if I could give zero stars I would. I have recently dropped off a new order for alterations at another local shop in Carson City and without sharing my experience from Bobby Pages with the other shop, this other local shop already seems to be a better spot. At the end of this, I still feel the same as I did after my experience with Bobby Pages in April of 2023 and will be recommending other alteration shops. read more

I went to this location for the first time and had a terrible experience. Go to another dry cleaner! They gave a shirt of ours to another customer and then made him drive it back. The supervisor, Rita, yelled at me, told me I caught her on a bad day as an excuse for her rudeness, and her staff told me to go sit in my car. I spent an hour there due to the mistake they made and didn't get an apology or any form of customer service the entire time. Rita came in as I asked for a supervisor and didn't acknowledge me for 15-20 minutes after she walked in. If the owners would like to talk I would gladly do so. Boston, one of the workers, talked down to me too. This is bad for business and could have easily be rectified with a little customer service and kindness for the mistake they made. read more

I dropped off 2 brand new dress shirts, I had just bought these shirts and removed the pins and stickers in the car outside in the parking lot of the cleaners. The lady that helped me was very rude, she wanted me to unbutton all of the buttons on the shirts right there at the counter (more on her later), wtf, I don't work there... When I came back to pick up the shirts, there was a big stain on one of them. I told her (same lady) that the shirt was brand new and they said they would no-charge a spot removal for me. I went to pick it up the next day and the stain was still visible (but smaller) and the lady tried to tell me the stain was there before I dropped it off (still same lady), that seemed unlikely since the shirt was brand new, they said they would have to get back to me about it. I am very doubtful I will get reimbursed for the shirt. I will give an update on what happens next. Not sure why a brand new shirt would have a stain on it (a large one at that), but if it hadn't been brand new, donuts to dollars they would have told me to take a hike. While I'm here I might as well warn you about their pickup policy. They close at 6pm but you better be there twenty mins prior or they won't let you pick up. Not sure why the cleaners have banking hours, I usually have to pick up and drop off on my lunch hour. I have been using them for years, but I don't think i'll be back. I have had a couple of other shirts come back with similar stains, I always assumed it was my fault, now I am pretty sure it has something to do with the way they process their shirts. They are a bit more expensive than other cleaners, but I thought I was paying for a better service. Most of the staff are pretty nice, but there is one lady there that rubs me the wrong way every time I have an encounter with her. She told me "really?" when I gave her the wrong ticket, and tried to give me a hard time about it. I don't have time for small minded nonsense like explaining why I gave her the wrong ticket. She tried to give some lame excuse about how the stain was there prior to dropping it off, like a brand new Stafford shirt would be stained out of the box, ok.... I have taken my cloths there for awhile. e my jeweled garments. I picked up a my close and placed in my closet. still in plastic, I took it out to wear it and it smelt like it had not been cleaned. We have very expensive Santa Suits that we have taken here for the last several years. Last year they were rough enough that the put 3 holes in one of the Santa hats ... but they did repair it. Absurdly overpriced. They decided to dry clean a cotton men's dress shirt because...the label said to dry clean? Who does that? And then they put the name of the maker of every shirt on the receipt. Shirt and pants took one day and the lady who altered my coat asked me when I wanted it to be ready by, I pretty much gave her two days since I forgot they were closed over thanksgiving and she had it ready just how I wanted it. Don't bother going here if you have important articles that need care. I took my wedding dress here and $150 later the dress look just like it did when I brought it in. I asked to have the strings cut around the zipper...not done. I asked to have it steamed and when it came back push pins, thread and tulle were left in the layers of the train. They left the tie downs in and the excuse I got was that the lady performing the service had done it for 18 years. So it MUST be right then? The dress had manufacturing issues on the bodice but that still meant that the skirt and train could have been properly steamed. This was finally found after the dress was picked up and brought back. If the steamer was so great at her job why was I not notified that the dress had bodice issues? Instead Bobby page decided that $150 was a good amount of money to charge me and give back unsatisfactory work. A refund was refused and after two weeks of leaving messages for the owner and manager about the refund, I was offered a $50 credit. Why would I take another garment to Bobby's after they clearly did not take full ownership of incorrectly pressing my dress? The BBB has been notified of the issue. I immediately took pictures and brought the dress back showing how it was incorrectly pressed. They were more than willing to admit their mistakes when I was in the store. They continue to argue that the dress was not pressed to my standards. Yes normal, correctly done work apparently is high standards. Clearly they have passed the problem on to everyone else instead of owning up the the fact that their veteran worker doesn't know how to steam one of the most important dresses in a woman's life. Absolutely pitiful how they over charge and do not provide correctly steamed garments. The lowest score I can give is a 1, a zero is what this business needs. read more

Nasty customer service! I brought in a shirt which had a small stain on it and asked them if it could be removed. "No problem sir. We can do it." When I picked it up, the stain was still there and when I asked about it I was told "We don't guarantee stain removal." in a nasty tone. Never mind I just spent $23.00 that week with them and I was a new client. So I took the shirt to someone else and now the stain is gone! Amazing! Dropped off a suit and a blazer for dry cleaning on a Wednesday because my friends recommended this place. Picked it up the next day, no problemo. The results exceeded my expectations, the prices were fair, and their customer service, from my pre-visit phone call to drop-off to pick-up was fantastic. Super friendly. They told me there are new owners as of the last year or so, so the bad reviews in 2014 aren't really valid IMO. Took a shirt in today, to have a couple patches put on the sleeves. In less that an hour, they were done and they even pressed the shirt, for free!! A friend also took a pair of pants to get altered to the Carson store, they measured him and the pants were done in ten minutes!! This place is far better than the one in Reno on Sandhill Drive. Don't go to that one!! We will always use the one in Carson because of the great customer service and quick, high quality work!! read more
