We never have our clothes dry cleaned. We are working a job out of town and just needed a wash and fold. My husband dropped our clothes off and told the lady "no dry cleaning.....only wash and fold." When I picked the clothes up I received a whopping $64 bill. They charged us $7.50 a piece for work jeans, $5 for work shirts etc. So they only did "wash & fold" on a small 4lb bag. I was so shocked I just paid it and called my husband to tell him. He said " I told her NO DRY CLEANING!" When I went back ten minutes later to tell her.....she acted like she had no idea who I was or what I was talking about and then IMMEDIATELY got in my face and started yelling at me. She continued to yell at me when I was outside in the parking lot. I was polite to her and expected a "sorry for the misunderstanding, but there is nothing I can do." I have been doing my laundry at the store on Airport Rd for just under two decades. I had a dryer that did not work. The clerk on duty gave me a lesson on how to do laundry in front of others. Tried to drop a shirt off this morning. Employee checking in the garment could not find me in the system, nor could she enter my information into the system correctly when trying to create a new account. BTW, I have used this location several times, so I was confused when locating my account was such an issue. Overpriced, delayed and poor quality. Avoid. Took two items. One was a suit jacket and other was older family heirloom that required delicate handling. Jacket was over $9 and heirloom ( similar to tablecloth) was $17. Arrived two days later than expected with each day saying it would be here tomorrow. Got call at 5:30 Tuesday saying arrived but only open until 6. Worst part is that the heirloom was damaged. First a portion was missed and not well ironed. Also the some of tassels are now torn and frayed. After posting this review, received call from Reno based customer service team. Working with them on our concerns. I called and confirmed a Friday drop off would have the item back Monday 4pm. They absolutely said it would be back and stamped my receipt with Monday 4 pm pick up. 5pm Monday, no item and worse they lied and said they needed more time because they could not get a bad "spot" out. Gee, the item was brand new and I cut the tags off to just get it pressed. Hard to believe there were "spots". Worse, they charged triple my other cleaners. Go to the $2.75 cleaner!! They they tried to defend their decision saying it would have cost more to do it the way I wanted. Military members don't go here. Tried to get name and US Army tapes sewn on a blouse and patrol cap. I asked them to have it ready in 4 days. The name tape was sewn on higher than the US army tape and despite having given them the uniforms with like-fonted tapes they mixed them up and I ended up with a blouse having tapes with both thin and thick font. For this service (2 items cleaned, 3 tapes and 2 ranks sewn on poorly) they tried to charge me 99 DOLLARS. It is my fault for not investigating the total price but if you are going here with the assumption that their prices are within a reasonable range based on other tailors, you might be disappointed. After I asked them to explain the price to me, they lowered it to 58 dollars. Additionally, a friend of mine posted on Facebook "Bobby Pages just charged me $27.95 to sew combat stripes onto my dress uniform...They are 1.25" long and 0.75" inches wide.... If you want your items back when promised, do not have them cleaned here. On 4/23 I brought a comforter set to Bobby Page's cleaners to be cleaned. I specifically told the clerk that I needed back no later than 5/1. I was in Tahoe to prepare our condo for summer rentals and I was returning to my home the morning of 5/2. I was told it would be ready. When I went to get it, only the comforter and shams were ready. The bedskirt was "being processed". The clerk just shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know what to do. They would not deliver it to our condo manager but, she told me it would be there when I returned in August, as if that would solve my problem. In the mean time, I have an incomplete bed set. I had an upcoming job interview and needed to get my suit pressed and slightly altered. I went in on a Wednesday hoping to get the job done before my interview on the following Tuesday. The girl who pinned my suit was helpful and assured me that there would be no problem getting the suit ready in time. Monday morning I get a call from this place to tell me that because the girl who pinned my suit was out sick that they would not be able to do the alterations and that I could pick my suit up. I told them that this really did not do me any good for my upcoming interview. Unfortunately they were not sympathetic and apparently nobody else could perform the alteration. I utilized Bobby Page's services during the Legislative Session, they offered same day or next day delivery to the LCB building which was very convenient, however on my last delivery I did not get a pair of suiting pants back. I called and spoke with the manager, not so politely, she assured me they were delivered, and that maybe I lost them, in my hotel or my car, because the computer says they were delivered. I politely explained that I understood the computer says my pants were returned, but I never received them. Possibly picked up by the wrong person, but I NEVER RECIEVED THEM. The manager told me she would call me back the next day. No call. Call #2, I asked to speak to the owner, who wasn't there at the time, the manager assured me that she would credit my account or give me a certain dollar amount ($50.00) after she spoke with the owner and she would call me back. No call. Call #3 neither the manager or owner were there, I left a message, and was assured I would get a call back. No call. Bobby Page is a good dry cleaning service, very expensive, way more than anywhere else in Northern Nevada but I like to think you get what you pay for. The way I was treated and completely disregarded was just bad business. I have never yelped before, but I had to do something. I will also write a letter of complaint. Bring in items for alterations about once a year. Last year, had three pairs of pants hemmed. Wore each about twice and the hem came out. Brought back in and asked for re-hem. Told her I did not mind having to pay but I needed them redone. When I picked up today I asked for a discount - knowing that I paid for this last year and that I haven't really worn these. This place is terrible. Extremely overpriced and slow. Their prices are significantly higher than what other places charge for 1-hour cleaning and they take a week. $40 to launder a bedspread??? For that price I could have gone to the laundromat, had nice lunch while I waited and had my bedspread back the same day. Think you might be able to drop something of on Wednesday so you can have it for an event on Saturday? Think again. The people behind the counter are always sitting against the wall on their phones, which I wouldn't really begrudge them in 2018, but then they seem annoyed that they have to get up to help a customer, bordering on outright rudeness. No one seems to know how to actually use the computer/register and they can't get my *very complicated* name right. Their predictions on when things will be ready are inaccurate and they don't call or message you when they finally are. Had a very poor customer service experience at their location on south Stewart Street a couple of days ago. They have a link on their website which allows you to send them an email. So, I wrote them and e-mail about my experience with their employee. I also posted a 1-star review based on my experience. The next day I received a phone call from the main office in Reno. She advised me she had received and read my e-mail and was very disappointed in her staff. She asked me to please tell her again what happened. I did. She apologized profusely several times and offered me several options for picking up the items I still had there along with dropping off items in the future. She did everything she could trying to make this right. I told her just calling me to talk about what happened was enough at this time. Yes this is the only dry cleaners in Truckee. Which is unfortunate for us as customers. They take themselves as being the only place locals can go to, to their advantage as a business. They have absolute NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills, they are rude and inconsiderate, and are horrible with communication (which is VERY important in business). And for as old as some of the women that work there are, you would think that they have learned some respect for others and their property, or some common courtesy. But they have not. I am not the type of person to ever make a recommendation or complain, but this is needed. For how many places we, as Truckee locals, have seen go out of business, I would not be upset to see them go. AT ALL. I could tell the long story of why I feel this way but the short story is... We took a couple items to them months in advance, so that we did not have to worry about rushing them later. So for the first time...we did not procrastinate. We had our items picked up, and turned out the day of the wedding we did not have an item we needed for that day.... It has almost been a month since that have misplaced our item, we have gone in and calmly/respectively asked them what the deal is, three times. And not once did they help or call us to communicate like they have said they would. Nor will they credit us back for their mistake. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!! We take our laundry there regularly. Very good customers. Yesterday i went to pick up our clothes that had been cleaned. The girl at the front barely speaks English and it took ten minutes for her to get my name spelled correctly when i dropped the cleaning off, very annoying. So i went to pick up the cleaning, they can't find it anywhere, super disorganized. I asked to speak to the owner and got nowhere. She is not around and leaves irresponsible people to run it. The girl who is apparently the manager alluded to other people in there commenting on how cute my clothes are and specifically one shirt i brought in. Makes me wonder if someone who works there decided to take my stuff. Either way, it's lost and i haven't been able to speak to the owner. Never going there again. Be careful if you think your clothes are "cute". They might get "lost" Also be wary of the girl who doesn't speak English well who is ringing you up. She obviously entered our name in wrong because of the language issue. So now it's with someone else. read more

Returned things back after holding them for 10 days without making an alteration that was promised. They do all their work in Reno, so it takes awhile to get stuff back anyway. This is the absolute worst place ever. I brought a pair of shorts here to have a have small seam sewed and they said it would take 10 days to get it back. I asked them to please make an exception because I had driven an hour from the west shore of Lake Tahoe to drop the shorts off and we were leaving in a week for a trip. They said they could make it work so I left the shorts there on a Monday afternoon. They said they would be done after 5pm on Thursday. I drove another hour back up Friday afternoon and they said the shorts were still in Reno and there was nothing they could do. This was after I had just spent over $200 to pick up dry cleaning which is an obscene amount of money for dry cleaning. Both of the people that worked there were completely unapologetic. Fast forward two weeks, I am back from my trip and Head to Truckee for a third time. On my way there I realize the store closes at 3pm on Saturdays, it's 2:50 pm and I am 15 minutes from Truckee. I call them and ask if they can wait 5 minutes past 3pm. They say no because they have plans and have to leave. Seriously the worst place ever. Take your clothes to Reno. read more

I will never use this cleaners again. Last summer, they lost my shirt, and then called to say it was there. When I got there, it was still missing. I waisted about three trips to see if they had located it. The worst part was that once it was FINALLY located, they did not offer to waive the fee nor offer any discount. I am an 81 year old women and I have been using Bobby Page Cleaners in Carson City on a regular basis for over 15 years. A few months ago, I dropped off two area rugs valued at $20/ea, that were purchased earlier this year. Went to pick them up 3 weeks later and they could not find them. Fast forward 5 weeks and I received a call that the rugs were found. After paying $80, which I thought was highway robbery, I discovered (when I got home) that what they had 'found' were not my carpets at all. I took them back and had several of their employees tell me that they were indeed mine!! NO NO NO...they are not mine. One employee told me I could take them home and sell them! I asked them for my $80 back and left the carpets with them since they are not mine! They said they will reimburse me the $40 for the cost of the lost items but will not reimburse me for the $80! I now have to contact the corporate office to get my money back! I will never use this establishment again and will tell everyone I know. I have never felt so bullied as a consumer. All the overpriced reviews are true, but the insult to injury is the manager woman who works there. She is rude, always has a scowl on her face and, if you ask for something to be re-done because it isn't clean or pressed properly, she argues with you and acts like you are crazy before agreeing to do it. I have gone here for years because there aren't really any other convenient options in town. I am a professional and have dry cleaning weekly. Yet, every time I go in there, I walk out hating the place even more. The few times they have had a new employee with a smile on her face who actually thanks you for your business was a pleasant shock and kept me coming back. Yet no more - I have had it with sourpuss face and her gorilla customer service tactics. I will go to Reno before going back to this place! Maybe if they got a new manager they would be able to keep some of the other employees who keep quitting and keep some customers. read more
