BW French Fry Chips Tofu Mild Vegetable Buns Fresh Limeade
    Anfal M.

I ran in for a quick lunch with Hubster and was delightfully astonished! While the place is smaller, the selection and taste of the food makers are up for it by far. We had the mild tofu bowl with crunchy brussel sprouts and veggie bao buns and fresh seasoned chips. Everything was yummy, and we look forward to oredering again soon. An area that alot to be desired is the lack of air conditioning. However the service was helpful and attentive.

I was so excited to try this restaurant! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and ordered with a nice young lady. I ordered the shrimp bao buns, the chicken soup, the shrimp lo mein, and the shrimp wonton with a drink. It took about 15 minutes. When I dug in, I really enjoyed the bao buns and the lo mein the most. The soup needed a little salt. All in all I had a good experience!

I've been either plant based or vegetarian most of my life, and I've eaten a lot of tofu. This is the best I've ever had. It was amazing.

Unfortunately, the food was very subpar. I'm not sure what all the hype is about; the chicken even had feathers! Please wash your chicken completely--what a turn-off! As for the sides, the potato salad had an overwhelmingly strong mustard flavor. A little sugar could have balanced it out nicely. The green beans were good, but they really lacked flavor. Lastly, the cornbread was horrible--super dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. I couldn't finish dinner; that's how bad it was. I am so disappointed, especially since this was my first experience with this restaurant. ' My/our people' should know better than to serve this type of soul food.' Our forefathers and foremothers would be rolling over in their graves. Please, I urge you to taste the food you cook before serving it to customers. I won't be back anytime soon, if ever. Please do better; I know you can. You won't last long serving food like this.

Did try the brisket and greens from another coworker. Delicious!! That brisket!! Tendernism!!! You can order delivery I believe through Uber Eats, Doordash or Grubhub but those prices definitely do change and go up so we ordered over the phone and picked up for best value. The service was very nice, it's a family run business and they got out entire order correct which included several platters and the three of their delicious homemade lemonade, strawberry limeade and the blue raspberry lemonade. The establishment is very cute and cozy on the inside, very clean as well. Sorry was in a rush on lunch break to get food and eat I forgot to get any pics b4 devouring my meal but we will be ordering again soon and definitely will next time.

The collard greens tasted like they were soaked in vinegar, making them overly bitter. The mac and cheese also need a lot of work. It didn't taste homemade or even like a good store-bought version. I would recommend trying a different cheese blend or recipe because it lacked the rich, creamy flavor I was expecting. I apologize if my comments offend anyone, but when you're spending your hard-earned money, you want your meal to be worth it. I hope this feedback is taken as constructive because the jerk chicken shows that the kitchen is capable of making delicious food. Thank you, Dani

Once you bite into it, the chicken isn't mushy at all -- you can actually see the fibers, and it's very juicy and tender. The seasoning is well done and not overly salty. I went with their house sauce, which has a slightly pickled chili vibe -- mildly sour, a bit spicy, and with a unique aroma that's hard to describe but really enjoyable. The fried chicken burger was also impressive -- definitely shows some skill in execution. One unexpected highlight was the cornbread. I usually don't enjoy cinnamon-flavored desserts, but this one grew on me quickly. The texture was excellent, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. Service was great -- the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable. Overall, a small spot but a really enjoyable visit. Would come back.

Which lended to an understanding of how much local MAPSO leans on this place. It was packed on a Wednesday night. All of that to say - my wife considers this one of the best chicken sandwiches she's ever had in her lifetime. I second, the salmon sando is my order and it's always fresh and perfectly cooked. We arrived at 6:35 p.m. and chose to sit on the Terrazza so we could enjoy the live band. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow from the start. It took about 15 minutes before our waitress came to take our drink order, and another 15 minutes before our drinks arrived. We were enjoying the music, so we didn't mind waiting at first. We understood that restaurants get busy and were happy to be patient. Our order wasn't anything complicated. We ordered a salad and a sandwich, which made the wait even more surprising. We had tickets to an 8:15 movie, so around 7:30 we started getting concerned that our food still hadn't arrived. Even then, we didn't complain. At 8:00 p.m., we simply flagged down our waitress, explained that we had to leave, and politely asked her to cancel the remainder of our order. She apologized, took my credit card, and said she would take care of it. While we were waiting, we saw at least two other tables cancel their orders and ask for their checks after experiencing similar delays. About an hour and a half after we had been seated, our food finally arrived, even though we had already canceled it. We told the servers we no longer wanted it. By then, another 15 minutes had passed since we had given the waitress our credit card, yet we still hadn't received our check. We finally walked over to the bar to ask what was going on. That's when we learned our waitress had been holding onto our check so she could add the food to it. We explained, again, that we had canceled the order before it was ever served and would not be paying for meals we never received. Instead of understanding why we were frustrated after waiting over 90 minutes, she responded with attitude, which was honestly the most disappointing part of the evening. The manager overheard the conversation, apologized for the delay, but that was the extent of it. No offer to comp our drinks or appetizer, no attempt to make up for the experience, and no acknowledgment that we had spent over an hour and a half at the restaurant and left without the meal we came for. During that entire time, we received one round of drinks and an appetizer. No one offered another round of drinks, or provided any meaningful updates about our food. I understand that restaurants have difficult nights, and if the only issue had been a long wait, I probably wouldn't be writing this review. What made this experience so disappointing was how it was handled. We were patient from the moment we sat down, and simply asked to cancel our order because we had another commitment. After all of that, being met with attitude for refusing to pay for food that arrived only after we had canceled it, and seeing no real effort from the restaurant to make things right left us feeling like our experience simply didn't matter. We were genuinely excited to find a new local restaurant after moving to South Orange. Instead, our first visit was so disappointing that it will also be our last.

My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.
