The truffle fries were good, caesar salad was ok, and the waygu burger wasn't as good as expected. The seared tuna appetizer was good, though, a good teriyaki sauce with it. Oysters they nicely split into two 3-piece iced servings for us, too, as we split a half dozen.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Millburn. Whenever I have decision fatigue on where to eat on a weekend, i can always count on Millburn Standard to serve good food without having to think about it. The menu is pretty "standard" American bar food, if you will (hehe) but also has a few dishes with a twist. The Blackened Shrimp & Corn Cakes is one of the most unique dishes I've ever had, a lot of different flavors but they work SO well together, and the sauce is incredible. It's a must try in my opinion. The burgers, tempura chicken, and truffle fries are all awesome as well. The quality of food is amazing, and i love their beer list as well. I get a Super Bock every time. The hosts are always smiling and friendly, and the service is consistently good. They always show sports games and i love the fire pits. Definitely should be your go-to dinner soot for any occasion.

    Steak tacos - pretty good!!

Absolutely loved it!! The first time I visited, I ordered the steak tacos, which were super flavorful. A tad greasy but I still enjoyed them. On my second visit, I tried the blackened shrimp and corn cakes, and that dish alone inspired me to finally leave a review. Every ingredient was so vibrant and delightful, with flavors that complimented each other beautifully. The sweet corn cakes combined with the heat of the shrimp and the creamy avocado were perfect. The various textures made each bite even better. My friend also loved the american waygu burger. The place was pretty packed around 4:30 pm on a Saturday, but service was still pretty quick. Our waitress was also super sweet and attentive. Definitely one of the best dinners I've had in the area. Amazing spot!!

So I've been here a million times and tend to get a burger, the tuna app, and other traditional things. Tonight, I decided to get a special, which I tend not to do. Glass noodles in a black bean sauce with chicken and veggies. Fantastic! Everything went perfectly and continued a streak of very solid meals

Incredible food. Fresh, very high quality, decent portions. All cocktails were strong and flavorful. Service was excellent. Very nice and stylish interior. Comfortable booths and tables. Also family friendly. Would love to go back!

Came here for drinks and apps with a friend. Great place to stop by for a quick drink. The ambiance is very nice. Drinks were made well and had an aesthetic to them. On the pricey side. Great for a date night.

Great place to hangout with friends or having a cozy family dinner or date. Restaurant has an upscale, contemporary pub vibe with stylish, perhaps darker, modern decor and great service . Space is divided in 2 sections - casual bar side seating with lot of TVs, high tables , few booths and a dining section with booth and tables. We went on a Sunday eve for dinner and got seated right way in bar section. We ordered spicy margarita, Paloma fr drinks, spinach-artichoke dip, corn cakes for apps and black bean burger to share. Drinks and apps were great, burger was okay. Overall, a really good place to meet friends/family with great cocktails and nice food.

This place was ok. It has a modern sports bar vibe with giant TVs throughout the restaurant. The food was nicely presented but the flavors didn't all come together for me. I ordered the tempura chicken bites. The tempura breading didn't go well with the traditional chicken bites. The French onion soup was too salty. I also ordered the prime rib beef tacos. It has way too much cumin. The cumin spice overpowered everything.

Amazing ambiance. Beautiful bar. I would come here for any occasion. Drinks were great and the food was delicious. The burger was good. The fries were nice and crispy. Wings were good, but nothing special. I didn't try a lot of the food, but I will be back to try some more.

After hiking 7.5 miles this is a fantastic spot to relax. The Wagyu burger and truffle fries for $25 was terrific meal. Great value. Great taste. I love the mushrooms and the bun of the burger. The meat itself was extremely juicy. I think I love the most of the truffle fries and the aïoli sauce. I could drink the aïoli sauce. The truffle fries were so delicious. Our server was nice. There's a nice low lit ambience in the place. The AC is cranked up so we were a little cold to be honest. Nice clean bathrooms.

Great food! I'd been a bit scared off by hearing that this was a big, loud, crowded happy hour spot, but fear not! There's a partial wall between the bar area and the main dining room, so they feel sufficiently separated. Husband and I shared a Caesar salad as appetizer. No photo because I was too busy eating its creamy cheesy crunchiness. The miso salmon was excellent and a well-composed dish. The special Hawaiian ribeye is marinated in a blend of sauces and pineapple juice--quite delicious and the steak was well cooked. Tip: The restaurant is veery dimly lit so don't forget your reading glasses if you're old like me.

While in the Millburn area, I was debating between 3 restaurants for dinner. I have no regrets about choosing Millburn Standard. Nice location in historic Millburn. There is street parking or public lots. Both inexpensive at 50 cents an hour. The restaurant has 4 different areas for seating (outdoor, bar area, main dining room and a separate room). We went for the main dining room which is full of booths. Traditional booths, corner booths and 2-seater booths which would be good for date nights. Lighting and decor made for a great vibe. Intimate but not too dark. Bar selection was impressive as a whiskey drinker. Younger wait staff, but all very professional and courteous. As for food, I would describe the menu as "Modern American". Started off with the Burrata and nachos. Nachos were average, but the Burrata was very good and served on a softer toast than the normal Burrata. The blackened shrimp has a southwestern flair served with corn cakes. Delicious and creative. One of tonight's specials was a pan seared snapper over coconut jasmine rice. Sauce and rice were delicious. Fish was moderately seasoned. Loved the presentation on both of these dishes as well. Finally, my son does not get excited about many things, but he described the fish tacos as "Amazing"! They were served with a really tasty mango garnish and Brussels Sprouts. Even the desserts were intriguing, but we were stuffed. Between courses they provide hot towels and the outdoor seating also has heaters. Both nice touches. We arrived just after 5pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. The scene quickly changed by the time we left. It's easy to understand why this is a local favorite. Give it a try!

The chicken parm was pounded thin and delicious, and the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage came with a massive portion. Also an honorable mention for the bread basket which was overflowing with fresh and hot seasoned bread. Service was speedy and friendly, holiday decor was cute and there is a full bar. The Garlic Knots are so delicious; the knots are so fluffy and soft though firm like chewing savory (more so texture wise) cotton candy that does not dissolve. With every bite, flavoring seems to improve, especially with the soft though thicker than thinner more savory than sweet tomatoe-ish sauce. From my order experience, the mozzarella after flavor lingers with the garlic after flavor for about 30 and 40 hours. Yum, though I prefer the garlic more so than the mozzarella, all quite tasty. The food is so creative, fresh, and delicious, the service is attentive and knowledgeable and consistent (not the norm in the suburbs), and we love the ambiance. It was a gorgeous night to sit outside, but we opted for our favorite - bar seats to watch the action. It's hard to find this level of consistency and creativity even in NYC, but to have it right here in Maplewood is so wonderful. So many restaurants in the suburbs rely on frozen, pre-made items from large restaurant supply chains that finding innovative cooking completely from scratch is a real challenge. In a sea of mediocre restaurants, Perla lives up to its name: a true gem! We have been so impressed by the daily specials this summer. We started out with a scallop crudo with yuzu, jalapeno, and shallots that is my favorite crudo right now. We followed that with the new shrimp tostada and I'm only sorry we didn't order two. Later in our meal, I spied a couple at the other end of the bar who did it right: the wife took one bite and immediately ordered a second one so that she wouldn't have to share. This is the second time we've had the tomato salad with olives, shiso, and white balsamic and I can't get over the flavor combination - it's so unexpected and addictive. We can't pass up the broiled oysters with garlic butter, Calabrian chili, and crispy shallots - a dish I was obsessed with the moment I tried it at a pop-up event before the restaurant even existed. Then we had the broiled branzino with lemon, capers, and a watercress salad - again, the only mistake was not ordering two! We were actually down the shore yesterday, but came home because we were craving this dish. We finished off our meal with anchovy toast, which our favorite dessert paired with a crisp Txakolina. It's four pieces of toasted baguette with a generous spread of really good butter topped with one piece of salt-cured anchovy and one boqueron (a pickled anchovy). I can't recommend this dish highly enough, it is perfectly balanced! We love a BYOB, but it is such a luxury that we can order right from our phones at the restaurant from a local wine shop (Lum's Cellars). It's a curated list that has some really fantastic options that all go so well with the cuisine. We started with an Alberiño and then ordered the Txakolina. No notes! We can't wait for our next meal at Perla.

BYOB, but they are also affiliated with a local liquor store if you forget to bring something that will bring you a bottle after ordering it online (however a very limited selection of wines) Service was attentive, friendly and personable. They have plenty of pasta options for course 1, but for course 2 you can only get rice, potatoes or focaccia. I do wish they had some kind of green or salad option here. Pasta dishes are around the same price as the lunch special anyhow. The cacio e pepe was divine. Silky, creamy and perfectly al dente noodles. The lunch portion is perfectly sized too. Fettuccine alfredo comes out in a cheese wheel which is always fun. I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything here. Eataly really just knows how to do it right.

Recently we came for brunch and it was just ok. The eggs with asparagus, ricotta and pancetta - We asked for a soft scramble (not soft).
