It's not very good at Morris Thai and maybe part of the problem is my fault. I ordered a dish that should have been delicious, but what I received was far from fresh, thus nearly inedible. The dish in question was a dish called Pad Mee Duck and I've had it prior many times, but in other restaurants. What I received was steaming hot, but gloppy in texture and overly sweet. The duck had been deep fried, then sliced. It was in a shell of some kind of breading, maybe panko but the oil in the deep fat fryer was burnt tasting. Perhaps it should be changed more often? The noodles instead of being stir fried and crispy were sodden and listless. There was a disconnect somewhere between recipe and execution. Both were lacking. The vegetables, typical Asian style were just that. Typical. Not very fresh. But the duck was inedible and this dish was far from inexpensive. Don't order this preparation. This place was recommended by a friend of mine as she knows I'm a huge Thai food fan. Stopped on a Friday night and it was buzzing with take out orders, not many diners. I dined in. The ambiance was relaxing and chill. Soothing music played in the background and the establishment was clean and tidy. The staff member manning the phone, take out orders and my order was very efficient and friendly. Constantly checking in and when I didn't like something quickly took it back and told me something else could be ordered. Now to the food. The dumpling fritters were ok but the inside texture I wasn't fond of. A bit too grounded for me. I sent that back and ordered the curry puffs, which I liked. This place was warm and cozy! Not sure why it has poor reviews but honestly I have nothing but positive things to note. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The downside is they close early ish, 8pm. The yellow curry was not too spicy just enough, the carrots still had a nice crunch to them and the flavors just combined so well. Morris Thai has become my go to for a weekday take out. The food is always fresh. Two of my favorite dishes are the crab fried rice and the chicken eggplant. One of the things I wish they would do is have a bit more consistency. Some days I order the reg dish and its full of protein, others I pay for extra and get less protein. Also happens with their rice's. Almost never are they filled with peas and carrots other times its so many peas it overpowers the dish. Besides that, the food is good. Before I start, I love Thai Food and have tried several different Thai restaurants in North Jersey. This my second time at Morris Thai. The first time was a take out a few months ago and this trip was a dine in. That area is pretty busy but we went on a Friday night and was able to get a parking spot in the lot adjacent to the restaurant ( Parking is free for 2 hours ). The restaurant had a large dining area and a cute spacious waiting area. We walked in and was seated immediately, there were only a couple of people dining in. We ordered the Thai iced tea and Joe's mango lemonade to drink. Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice and Thai chicken wings. I had a second order of the Thai fried rice and chicken wings to go. The portions were good and food delicious All in all if you're in the area I would definitely recommend stopping by. The food is delicious and the staff efficient and so nice and helpful. Our waiter Sasis ( I may have spelled his name wrong ) was so wonderful. He was multitasking between waiting on tables and running the register and he was so friendly, helpful and got our orders correct and came to check on us a couple of times. That's incredible considering other restaurants with more staff don't deliver this same level of customer service. A lot of people order their food to go so you'll see several people walking in for pick up. I'm not sure if they deliver. I'll defiantly be back ! I have eaten and ordered from Morris Thai. The food is great and the service is friendly. Their papaya salad is great. It's better if you eat in house. I also recommend the drunken noodles and the Thai fried rice. I like my food spicy so I appreciate that they will make it Thai spicy 5 if you ask for it. read more

Cannot wait to go back with my husband! My soup and pineapple fried rice had different textures; temperatures etc. which sets them above. Service was excellent too; they constantly answer to Grub Hub, walk-ins, take out plus those like me who chose to dine in. She handled all of that and still was very enthusiastic and positive. I used to frequent this place often as the go to when I wanted Thai. After stopping in to place my order to go, I saw the staff drop a stack of Thai Iced Tea tops on the ground. I watched them pick them up off the floor and place them back onto the counter to be used for the drinks they were pouring. The only think that mildly helped was to saturate the chicken in the sauce that accompanied the food. By the way the covers on the small plastic containers do not fit. This place is excellent. I came here for the first time yesterday with an associate. Upon walking in, the first thing you notice is how impecably clean it is. The inside is not over decorated, and has some nice flowers on every table. You can tell they put some thought into it. It was very pleasant. The service was excellent, with the waitress being both kind, and responsive. She was funny and helpful throughout the service. I ordered the duck and my associate, a pad thai type of dish. Both were impecable. The duck was crispy, meaty and not bony. It was well seasoned an well cut. The presentation included a flower made of a carrot. Everything was well flavored. Her dish had a great presentation. The food was exceptionally well seasoned. The dish was flavorful with the right amount of heat. They used actual green peppercorns still on the branch. The food has a more homecooked less commercial feel. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone. Get the duck. read more

Their space is pretty simple overall but has walls that bang with stunning, rich tapestries of elephants and other figures. Their dishes are well-balanced in flavor and super tasty. My 3 standbys are: the Pad Thai with shrimp, Tom Kha Talay, and Sticky Rice with Mango. I always use Pad Thai with shrimp (optional) to test Thai restaurants and this place has the most-balanced version in my experiences across the nation, especially with a sprinkle of lime they provide. Their Tom Kha Talay (seafood with mushroom, galingale (ginger), lemongrass, in coconut milk and lemon juice broth) is lip-smackin' good. Then, their Sticky Rice with Mango (sweet rice with smooth, tender mango slices) is just heavenly. The lunch special comes with you choice of soup or salad. Today they gave me a vegetable broth for the soup appetizer. The portion looked small at first but after finishing it I was super full and satisfied. Especially with the drink. They give a decent amount of the Thai iced tea which I appreciate.
