Mixed feelings about the new concept. No longer has option of "in the grass." The prices went up and now you have to pick up the food when your number is called rather than them bringing it to you. The burger is a 4 but deducting a point because I was charged .75 for a water cup...what place charges you for a plastic cup that you fill with water from the soda machine? We were at Mohegan for the Chocolate Expo & wanted to check out the "new" Bobby's Burgers after the rebranding etc. After reading many recent reviews, we were worried we would be disappointed but we loved the food, service and atmosphere of the place. We had a crunch burger, Bobby Blue & Bacon, Fried Chicken Sandwich & sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious! We were surprised how great the chicken sandwich was since we are picky and it exceeded our expectations! They still had the frozen cactus margaritas and Ashwin & Julian took very good care of us and were friendly & helpful. The only negative was the cafeteria style trays with the paper boxes. They are great for take out but when people dine in, they really should use plates for the food (like they used to). I really did like the taste of the food but they messed up both of our orders and the place was honestly such a mess, especially for the amount of people that I saw on staff. Trash was piled in all the trash cans, trays everywhere, none of the tables look like they'd been wiped, etc. When I ordered my food I requested a "plain bacon cheeseburger," she repeated it back to me saying she keyed in a "crunch burger," I once again clarified and wound up with a burger with sauce and such on it. When I brought it up to have it fixed they then told me that it's what I ordered, I'm not sure how much more clear I can be beyond "plain bacon cheeseburger." They did wind up fixing it but still for $60 I would hope it would come out right, or at least they would just fix it. I will say though if it was ran a little better I would give 4/5 stars because the food was genuinely very good. read more

I always have to come to Bobby's when I visit Mohegan. It's a rare gem of a burger place. Everything about the burgers is top notch from the meat to the bun. When you go up to order at the counter they give you a number and you take a seat at the counter or the long communal table. I like how the counter weaves through the restaurant rather than being a straight line. The ambiance here is simple, but pleasant. The service at the counter is very quick and you help yourself to fountain drinks I've had several of the burgers here but today I chose their Little Italy Burger, which was a special for the season. My wife ordered the Bobby's Veggie burger. The Little Italy was delicious. It has a spicy tomato sauce on it and Parmesan cheese. Almost reminded me of a meatball grinder. I will note that I order my burgers here medium rare, but they always come out a little closer to rare. Order it medium if you want it closer to medium rare, I think. The veggie burger is really good. It's made up of quinoa and bbq'd mushrooms. We also got fries, which are always perfect here and I love their sauce. I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed Bobby's burgers. I almost skipped it because of some of the reviews, expecting it to be pretty mediocre, but my boyfriend and I really wanted to try it since it's a Bobby Flay restaurant - and I'm so glad I did. The burgers were the highlight. They were incredibly juicy, and you know they're cooking some REAL burgers when they offer you the option for being cooked medium or well. We ended up getting the brunch burger and blue cheese burger, both fantastic. Fries were crispy on outside and soft on inside. The vanilla milkshake was okay, but the burgers definitely stole the show. The atmosphere is casual, pretty much what you'd expect from a fast-food style burger spot. The place changed a bit. It closed down and recently reopened. Service is slow. You get a buzzer to pick up your food instead of it being brought to you. You can only order your burger medium or well done. The assorted ketchup and hot sauces are no longer available. Ketchup, mustard, and mayo all at 1 station like every other fast food place. We were charged 75cents for a water cup. When we finally got our food, in cardboard boxes, everything was super salty and smaller. My husband's burger was well done, not medium. My chicken burger was very peppery and extremely salty. The fries were extra salty and the fry sauce was mostly mayo. We left very disappointed. My husband's stomach bothered him soon after. I enjoy eating at the bar too but the dining area is nice too for children and large parties. You walk up and order and they give you a number for your table. Sodas/waters are available for self service at the Coca Cola freestyle machine after you receive your cups after ordering. You pick your seat in the dining area and when your order is ready the staff brings it out to you. The dining area is clean. It's moderate for noise because it is an open restaurant in the casino. The burgers are good and moderately priced for casino food. Their fries are amazing! I personally love the sweet potato fries. Fries are hand cut. Hi needed a breakfast sandwich in my life today. I was at the casino early this morning and I tried Bobby's Burger Palace. They now do breakfast. The sandwich was very good. Never had a breakfast sandwich with chips but it worked. It's served with a BBP special sauce. It was good but certainly my opinion is it works well on a burger or chicken sandwich. The service was interesting to get you food. You place your order at the counter out front. Next you seat yourself with a number card. They bring your order to the table. Then you are on your own. I was expecting red carpet treatment because it's Bobby. LOL If you've seen him on his cooking show you would understand. The ambiance put me in the mind of an old fashioned NYC F.W. Woolworths lunch counter. Most New Yorkers would get this reference. Thanks Bobby because you took me back to a good childhood memory. First time customer and thought it might be a very pretentious restaurant, walked by it a hundreds times and chose to visit other establishments but my guest wanted to go cause he mentioned they have a Burger with a fried egg on top with bacon so I relinquished and entered! In my experience, wait time was reasonable and totally worth it since our hamburgers (palace classic and brunch burger) were absolutely perfect. Burgers were cooked to the temperature we requested and everything tasted fresh and hot. Super filling, which is a plus considering relatively high casino pricing. Truly outstanding! Their grilled cheese sounds wonderful with a variety of cheeses and tomato- but this time, it was drenched in oil/butter and actually slippery to hold, and overloaded in black pepper?!?! I ate around the issues and had to discard more than half. Their beef burgers have been inconsistent as well from excellent to average at best. I tend to think it's the cooks who are creating this problem and hope it gets managed to be consistently excellent, as most items have the potential for! They took a winning casual restaurant and downgraded everything from the ordering/food delivery (go get it yourself when your beeper goes off), to the seating (uncomfortable and crammed in) to the menu which no longer has their delicious grilled cheese sandwich. The only vegetarian option is now a veggie burger. Your burger comes in a cardboard box and you can't get the half fries half onion rings. Coffee? only at breakfast. Water? $3.50. The landfills with be brimming with all the boxes, cheap napkins and doilies on the tray. We will be looking for somewhere else to eat. read more

When we're at Mohegan and we want some food we can usually get a seat at the bar. They have a burger of the month that is tasty, and prices are reasonable.
