At Mohegan Sun for a conference left us on our own for dinner tonight. So a nice girls night out with my colleagues and with all of the choices, we settled on The Shed because it had something for everyone. We were greeted quickly and sat right away. Nice open yet cozy seating and friendly smiles all around. Two of us had a delicious Cobb salad - we both felt it needed a bit more dressing - but it was super fresh and tasty. One had a steakhouse burger which she really liked as well and we split Shed Fries and Sweet Potato fries. All was delicious. I knocked one star off because we all really felt the burgers should have come with fries as opposed to a pickle spear and coleslaw. For the price, an added pile of fries would have been nice as opposed to having to order a side plate. That aside, food was delicious, service was spectacular. John was super friendly and helpful with choices too. Tempted to go back to try their brunch items! Maybe before I leave I'll get back there! read more

First off, let me start by saying that I've been to The Shed on Long Island and loved the food and drinks! The good - Service at this location was excellent - staff was very friendly and the ambiance was very nice. Shed fries were delicious (as usual)! The Cooler cocktail was very yummy but smaller than I expected. The not so good - shed wings were very average and the portion was not worth the price. The watermelon cocktail tasted very watered down. And for the worst part, the steak from the breakfast bowl was inedible. It had no flavor and was so tough, I think I was only able to eat one piece. If we weren't going to a show, I would've sent it back and at least gotten something different to take home. We wanted to love this location as we do the others, but for the price, we will go elsewhere next time we visit Mohegan. read more

The food would rate a solid 4 stars... the service would have a hard time to get to 1 star from what we experienced. As such, I have it a 3 star overall. We came in at 11:04 on a Thursday (4 min after open). There were not many tables sat as of yet. We didn't see our waitress for 15+ min at which point we asked for a round of waters and our order for the table. The menus had been at the table when we sat. The food took almost 40 min to come out and the water took 25+ min to arrive. The waitress was slow as anything at all of her tables to where she would apologize without any real meaning and then ignore her tables until oftentimes others did her work. She did seem to pay attention more to those who ordered alcoholic drinks but as this was brunch, it wasn't us. The food was pretty good. The wife and I got eggs Benedict and we were happy with our meal. The kids split a chicken and waffles and loved the hot honey that came with the dish. All in all, the food was a solid 4, not too flight but pretty darn good. The service would have a hard time reaching a 1 star on the ratings. If you have time and aren't afraid to wait a bit to get your meal, this is a good place to try. The portions are big and the food is pretty good, but don't force yourself into a situation where you need something from the server. I will note a person seemed to be helping this horrible waitress with another table brining out food and resolving issues they had, but she never even stopped at our table so no clue who she was for sure or her role in things. read more

The food was so delicious, the restaurant is so clean and beautiful and spacious, and the service was quick. We got our food so fast, and this was before a concert. Highly recommend a reservation as well. The prices are a little steep (cocktails almost $20, adding chicken to a bowl is $10) but the burger on its own was super filling and fairly priced. read more

We stopped in here after an event at the casino to try since it was about 4 and two other places were already closed. There wasn't a wait and we were attended pretty quickly. It's good for a brunch/ lunch but I wouldn't aim for dinner here. We were asking for a slight change/ add on for on something and were told they don't really accommodate or do that, that it has to be as is what it says. I actually ended up going here twice in one day. In the morning I had the breakfast bowl, which was amazing. It's honestly the only place that has ever gotten my eggs exactly right. I asked for over medium and they were perfect. The bowl had a great mix of ingredients and so much flavor. Later that evening I went back for dinner and ordered a grain bowl. I'm actually eating the leftovers for lunch now and it's still just as delicious. Both experiences were great. The first time I sat at the bar, and the second time I was with friends and we had table service. The service was excellent both times. This spot is located next to the escalator at Mohegan Sun heading up to the convention center and the Winter Garage. This place Is spacious and really cute. Hidden seats in the back. This is based on a strictly takeout The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable though just from picking up the food I got the chicken sandwich and it was okay. I don't know if they just put a lot of mayonnaise on it or whatever they had on it. It made the bun really soggy and hard to eat. And it was almost too big of a piece of chicken like it was too stacked on top of each other so I couldn't even fit it in my mouth. I am sure if I tried something else. I would have liked it better, but I feel like with the a fried chicken place being right upstairs that it would have been a little bit different. read more

What a lovely restaurant for brunch in Mohegan Sun. Decor is fresh and clean. We were promptly seated, and were offered waters and coffee for the table. They didn't have a hot chai tea latte on the menu, which is my typical goto choice of beverage. Nonetheless, our food was top-notch. Very impressed by the way it was served and the way it tasted. We ordered veggie burger with gluten free buns, warm grain bowl with salmon and eggs in the garden. My order was the eggs in the garden; it was so delicious and heart warming. Went there for breakfast with my 2 co-workers. We were all very satisfied with our breakfast selections. While one of us ordered hot honey chicken and waffles (with sweat beads all over his face!!) needless to say it stands up to its name! He and my other co-worker who indulged stated the chicken batter which it was fried in was delicious!! I ordered the brioche French toast with bananas and brown sugar... delicious! Not too sweet!! We always went to much more expensive restauarants at Mohegan Sun but The Shed caught our fancy and we just went for it. We were greeted and seated quickly and politely. Menus and table setups were almost immediate. We asked a few questions about the brands of rye that the Shed stocked, and then proceeded to order drinks, including an old-fashioned, which is always a crap shoot (no pun intended). Cocktails arrived promptly and most importantly we were not rushed to place an order and all of our questions on the menu were thoroughly answered and we took our time and made a decision and then placed our order. My wife ordered the sirloin steak done medium, and I had a Belgian waffle with berries... both arrived in a reasonable amount of time and the test was really cutting that sirloin open. It was a beautiful piece of meat done to a perfect medium, no fat, tender and flavorful. My Belgian waffle was as good as any other Belgian waffle I have had...cook cooked perfectly. The prices were very reasonable, considering the venue and our wait person. Ryan was extraordinarily helpful, polite, and upbeat...really always in a good mood which was very pleasant. PS the flourless brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert was a home run. We have found a go to place at the casino. What else can you ask for... cordial staff, efficient service, excellent in every way, and in today's world, a reasonable price. Needless to say we'll be back. read more

I was super excited to eat here but unfortunately, I was disappointed. It is a day brunch spot with American fare. They have a full service bar and ample seating inside the actual restaurant. It is casual and a rustic farm chic decor. A bit loud inside with the music blaring but it's also inside the casino. Even if they had no music on the casino traffic would've been plenty loud. Food is reasonably priced for the casino. The She'd Lobster roll came with French fries, baby pickle and coleslaw. The lobster was tossed with butter and served on a grilled brioche bun; but the bun was burnt. The lobster itself was overcooked, dry and bland. It didn't taste like it was cooked in salt water and if it was steamed, it was over steamed to cause the dryness. I had to ask for extra butter (extra $1). Cobb salad was served with grilled chicken breast. The chicken had great lemony flavor but fell short as it was dry. Now, we all know that a Cobb salad has avocado and it states it on the menu. However, my salad came out missing the avocado!!! How?! Why?! Do the people making the dishes and those running dishes out not pay attention to detail? I was sooooooooo disappointed. Our server wasn't as attentive as she could've been. I ordered water at the beginning when she took our drink orders but she brought it out halfway into our meal. Also, it took a good 10 minutes to be acknowledged after we were sat. They were not busy when we arrived so I'm not sure where they fell short. I probably won't recommend or return to this establishment as many things they fell short on could've been avoided for mediocre food at best. After doing some shopping at the Christmas festival yesterday, my mom, husband, and I visited The Shed for brunch/lunch! Our server was pleasant and attentive, and they were handling the volume of customers well. We did the wings and hummus for appetizers. The wing sauce was tasty, though we felt the wings themselves were just a little overcooked and leathery in some bites, and the hummus wasn't bad, but we wished they had served it with some pita. Very cute restaurant decor. The bunny wallpaper was adorable. I couldn't believe how beautiful the silverware was. I've become accustomed to seeing cheap, plain cutlery in most restaurants and this was a welcomed surprise. Tables are not on top of one another, which I appreciated. Ordered the biscuits benedict, which is eggs benedict served on biscuits rather than the traditional english muffin, with a choice of bacon, sausage, or salmon rather than the usual ham. I opted for the bacon. It was served with well seasoned home fries. Unfortunately, it was served lukewarm at best, which was really disappointing. My husband had the buttermilk pancakes, which were huge, but unremarkable. The side of bacon was generous. $7 for a flute of oj, but it may have been fresh squeezed as there was a delay in bringing my beverage and we were told it wasn't made yet, so I am assuming that was the case. I struggled between awarding a 3 or a 4. It is a solid 3.5 and certainly a nice brunch spot. I saw other dishes come out that looked very good. I'd say give it a try. We headed there the morning after a sold out show in the arena and were seated right away, which we appreciated since we needed to be done with breakfast before hotel checkout time. read more

The Shed has great food--brunch all day, amazing desserts, and drinks. This has become one of my family's favorite places to eat at the casino because it's reasonably priced and has simple, classic American dishes from eggs, burgers, salads that have bold flavors and taste fresh. We have eaten here twice and it's fairly new at Mohegan. It's located across from Frank Pepe's and they can get pretty busy. Highly recommended to make a reservation if you have a large party. The Fried Pickles are a must every time. Sliced thinly and super crispy. I personally enjoyed the Eggs in the Garden if I'm craving a brunch item and I can get two meals out of the Veggie Protein Bowl since the portion size was huge. I treated myself to a mocktail last visit, The Revenge of the Pink Panther--a very refreshing citrus drink with grapefruit, lemon, peach, and a hint of elderflower. We discovered that The Shed's desserts were phenomenal. Large enough to share, the Churro Waffle Ice Cream Sundae hit the spot. Warm cinnamon-y waffle with scoops of vanilla melted perfectly together. We also tried their dessert special, two croissants filled with chocolate espresso mousse and served with fresh Baileys whipped cream... Did I mention it came with TWO?! I left with so much leftovers. The restaurant is clean, bright, and has a lot of rustic charm. Drinks are served in mason jars, down to the detail of the silverware makes it feel you're visiting a farm house kitchen with a modern twist. The staff is very friendly, but the service is slow. Was so excited to go back for a delicious lunch since our last time was so good. Well, this time started out with the hostess and her iPad saying she need to go check something before she sat us (there was 2 of us). Ok sure we wait 5 min goes by and 2 more people come behind us and the other hostess takes them and sits them. Hmmm, ok we're still here. The second hostess comes back and we're still here and we ask for the Manager, they don't come but the second hostess must have went and got the first one to say hey they're still here. We order 2 diet Coke's and pickles first. Those come pretty quickly and were delicious (only reason for the stars). My husband orders the smoke house burger and I ordered biscuit Benedict. They food was delivered in a good amount of time. He takes a bite of his burger and his face says WTH? He opens the burger and it's blacker than the pavement and hard. As he's in awe of the poor quality of his food I cut into my poached eggs which are both hard boiled! Yuck! The biscuits were also as hard as a rock like yesterday's bread left out all night. I also asked for no hash browns and my plate was full of them. So disappointing. Brandy came back and apologized and said she'd remake the food and sending over the Manager. The Manager came over we told her to cancel our food. She also apologized and let us remake you food. We say no thx, she says hope you'll come back and I'll pay for your pickles. Made it to The Shed while hanging out at the Mohegan Sun casino with friends for an event! We were hungry and decided to check it out--so glad we did! They had options for everyone. The menu includes plenty of Gluten-Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian choices, and many dishes can be easily adjusted. Be sure to ask about their Vegan & Gluten-Free options and your allergy if any. Walked in at 9 when they open and sat in booth by the bar- no servers were seen until 910 and our had the entire bar to cover, make all the drinks for the restaurant and serve all booths within bar area. Needless to say it was terrible. Couldn't get a second cup of coffee despite asking foos runner, no ketchup, rye toast- which doesn't come with omelette -wasn't toasted and cold and no jelly on the table. Manager was non existent and never came around to help. Other servers had a few tables and showed no teamwork in helping with her tables. This is a poorly run restaurant with no leadership. The place is very loud and bustling and appears to be the best option for people with little kids so there's a LOT of kiddo chatter and crying. The food was just meh. Didn't have reservations but only had to wait 10 minutes; while we waited, we played mini golf that they have in the "yard". Very casual dinning experience, good for families, groups or couples. Another great scratch cooking restaurant in Mohegan Sun! When we arrived for dinner at approximately 5:50 pm, we were promptly seated. The dining room was about halfway full and we were surprised as the hotel was completely sold out with two conventions. Two other restaurants were closed on that night so we were hoping that this wasn't an indication that the Shed wasn't good. Until we walked past a table full of pancakes and waffles (yes at dinner). The portions were huge and looked delicious! And the dining room was full with a line waiting by the time our food arrived. Service was friendly and quick. Food arrived fresh and hot. The house made veggie burger was excellent. It was topped with pickled veggies which were crisp and delicious. My husband's eggs Benedict were served on biscuits instead of the usual English muffins.
