    Veal Chop Parmesan

Love this place! The food is always delicious. Highly recommend the Veal Cutlet! It's massive. So crispy and perfectly cooked. The scallop pasta dish was heavenly. They serve warm focaccia bread with an olive paste to start, very good.

Sad return to what used to be a really nice restaurant experience.

Haven't been here in years but what used to feel like an experience now just felt like a very mediocre place to get food not even worth the somewhat modest price. I remember beautiful table dressings, candles...ambiance. The setting is still pretty great. Service was slow but they seemed understaffed. Isai was out waiter and he was really great and attentive. I had the Wagyu bolognese and it was dry and thick like wallpaper paste. Honestly, the flavor wasn't anything to speak about either. At least great flavor with bad consistency would have helped. My wife and the chicken parm. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Nice and juicy but it was still "meh". Big portion and we ended up leaving the other half behind because, well, it just wasn't worth it to bring home. ATTENTION, ATTENTION...NOW HEAR THIS! If you're offering a craft Old Fashioned get some cubed ! A $20 Old Fashioned with soda fountain ice is UNSATISFACTORY! No excuse. That tarnished the night before it even got started. I've read the buffet is good...maybe it's just transitioned into a bit lower quality when that happened. Unsure but, super disappointing. I would really look for a better spot to spend your money. The wine was .

Every once in a while you experience a meal that is delicious and memorable. Then - there are the choice meals that will stay with you forever and become the standard on which you base all of your future food opinions on. Todd English's Tuscany in Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino has now joined this experience. Our server was beyond charming and witty. She offered the specials as if she had just prepared them herself. I ordered the Filet Mignon on the rare side. It was perhaps the best selection I've ever had. Accompanied by the old faithful mashed potatoes - this dinner was simple, elegant, and now in my top ten selections of all time. Cheers Todd English - you've done it again!

Came here now that it's been remodeled and we really liked it! We both got the filet and both were cooked to the correct temperature and they were so tender and delicious. The Mac and cheese and silk potatoes both were very tasty as well. Service was quick and polite. Overall very satisfied with our experience and we will be back again.

The BEST SUNDAY BUFFET BRUNCH I have had in a long time! So many outstanding choices plus a carving station, omelette station, salad station, along with piles of large Shrimp and platters of smoked salmon! The beet salad was amazing with yellow beets, Caesar salad was incredible and perfectly made! The bread station and breakfast treats were so fresh and tasty after brunch treats were excellent! Took two hours to enjoy and the service was very attentive! Great atmosphere and tastefully designed and decorated! Brunch was $60.00 Reservations needed! ****WHO EVER IS THE PASTRY CHEF for TUSCANY is..... I had the very BEST DESSERT CALLED - Sfogliatelle - an Italian pastry. I have had this actually in Italy and around but these were the most delicious and delicate custard or cream inside layers of fine phyllo dough wrapped like a lobster tail! You are a GENIUS THANKS FOR MY TASTY EXPERIENCE!

Tuscany is back open after a much needed upgrade. Everything has been painted and new furniture. FYI .. there was a sign please make sure you have a reservation, not sure if they're open to walk-ins at this time. First before I go into any of my food reviews, I have to tell you come prepared it was absolutely freezing in this restaurant it seemed like they had the air on. They say they tried to call people. It was frigid in there the entire time. To start off our trip to Tuscany we agreed with a very pleasant waitress who was very quick to take our drink water in any appetizers. We were then greeted with some warm bread, olive tapenade and hummus. Which was a very tasty bite. Our lemon martinis with a sugar rim or fantastic. Our food came out rather quickly. The lobster bisque was a good portion. It had nice pieces of lobster in it not too thick not too salty probably one of the better ones. I've had the meatballs came out with a portion of four large meat meatballs topped with ricotta cheese, very flavorful and tender. Thankfully, all the food stayed hot while we had freezing cold air blowing on us. Next thing may sound a little weird, but they redid the seating covers on the benches and they're made out of this leather Ish suede style material and when you try to get in your clothes, don't move with it so you kinda have to hop in and out of your seat or else, your clothes are gonna roll. While it gives you a warm feeling of the atmosphere it's not very easy to get in and out of your seats. Overall, it was a great trip. I only give the three star ratings because it was really freezing in there and almost unbearable because we didn't have jackets. Just be prepared and enjoy!

It's been a while since I dined here. Located insured Moheghan sun, the other restaurant Ballo was closed for renovations so reservations were hard to get during Mother's Day weekend. We were lucky to get reservations for party of 5. I think it's the 1st time having dinner. It's a great place for brunch. It's better to sit outside. Inside is very dark. Our server was very friendly n attentive. We started w the focaccia served warm w amazing olive oil. I was almost full from the focaccia. We had The Cesar salad n calamari The NY strip steak was very good, they hand cut fries was amazing. The pasta w clams is so good. Pasta tastes homemade served perfectly al dente. Chicken parm I heard is very good. I don't think you can have a bad meal here. Everything is very good.

Darkly lit, and accommodated us last minute and quickly to get us out for a concert. Food was good, and reasonable in price!

24 hours later and I'm adding an update that my husband and I definitely got food poisoning here. It was about 30 minutes after eating here that we were both violently ill. Never again!

It was an elevated atmosphere with dimmed lights. Very fast service and we were able to be seated without a reservation. The food was very good. The chicken Parmesan was my favorite. I did not love the calamari, it was mostly breading and it was a mix of squid and veggies. It looked like a lot, but ended up being little to no squid. I wouldn't order again. The cocktails were good!

Chicken Parmesan. A little dry and burnt on all edges, which I cut off.

We have been here prior to their reopening. I didn't notice A big difference in the interior, etc. the ambience is plant - we had a. Nice server. A mixed bag for food. I'm only giving them a three because My husband enjoyed the Faroe island Salmon. I couldn't make up my mind between the steak and chicken Parmesan. I chose the chicken because of the price. I regret the decision. The chicken Parmesan was burnt on all the sides and was very dry inside. A small portion of pasta that came with it was OK. I am not sure if I will go back because of the amount of other restaurants at Mohegan and I'm disappointed I wasn't a very basic dish.

The food was meh, drinks were not good, but our waiter was lovely. I think his name was Jamie and he took great care of us- a party of 7 sat at 9:30pm. I made this reservation over the phone at 6pm, and the person who took the call was VERY accommodating of our party and took special care to seat us all together which was very nice. He said they had something like 400 reservations this night. The bread they brought us was very nice and a godsend because we needed some sustenance. It came with a bean dip and olive tapenade that I really enjoyed. I got the goat cheese and beet salad which looked great on the menu but ended up being strangely watery and I didn't like how small and firm the beets were. It was the end of a very busy night though so I can't fault them too much. I hope it's much better when it's not a weekend with a show in the arena. I got the passion fruit martini which was syrupy and just too sickly sweet. I sent it back and got the Pre-Game cocktail which had redbull and was also not great but drinkable. My friend liked his pistachio martini but I also found the flavor very artificial. I'd return in the future for bread and probably a pasta dish which I'm sure would be better but be sure to check OpenTable or call for a reservation far in advance.

We had tried to make reservations here a few times before over the past few years and were not successful. So being able to get a reservation for an upcoming visit was eagerly anticipated with excitement, especially considering all the great reviews. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our 5:45pm reservations on a Saturday night. The place was not at all packed, and there was no issue being seated. Great! We had a show at 7pm and made the staff aware. Beautiful setting and an upscale dining experience was anticipated. Our server introduced himself and proceeded to rattle off the 5-7 dishes on the menu that were not available. What? Not his fault but ah, such a bummer. There was only 1 special offered. The menu is already pretty specifically limited so losing 5 choices is huge. Bread and dipping sauces were brought to table, and while fine, nothing extraordinary. Sangria and a draft Stella arrived and we placed an order for a filet mignon with asparagus and a spaghetti poppeltine meatballs, "Brooklyn style". The waiter stated that the pasta was made in house and was so good. The filet mignon ordered medium rare cut like butter and was outstanding. The asparagus tasted fresh and well seasoned. The pasta dish with meatballs was underwhelming at best, outside of the portion size. The meatballs had no taste and lacked any texture or spice profile ; the sauce was lacking in quantity and seasoning. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but I could not discern that it was freshly made. Not at all satisfying. There was NO way that the parmigiana cheese grated was authentic..,so disappointing. Our server said he was new and while he was fine and accommodating, it was not the level of service based on the pricing of dishes and drinks and the reputation of the establishment. The restrooms were clean and some tables have a peek of the open kitchen. It is a lovely and convenient setting, but the food and service fell short and we will not be returning.

How is the seating? We just booked but we can't stand restaurants that pack people together like cattle. By this I mean being so close to your neighboring patron that you could tap them on the shoulder [typically something like shared bench seating].

They have deuces that are next to each other but with enough room that you don't feel the next party breath. You can always call and ask for a booth.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is a New Haven-style pizzeria that opened in New Haven, Connecticut…read morein 1925. It was founded by Francesco "Frank" Pepe: an immigrant from Maiori, Italy. Pepe first arrived in America in 1909 at the age of sixteen. He eventually learned the baking trade and for a time he worked at Generoso Muro's Bakery. In 1925, a one-story brick bakery owned by the Boccamaiello Family at 163 Wooster Street became available for rent. Pepe seized the opportunity to start his own business. At first, Pepe mainly baked and delivered bread. Eventually, he began making pizza. The only toppings were tomato sauce and grated Romano cheese; anchovies were a traditional add-on item. Pepe would travel up and down the streets selling his pizza on a pot that he balanced on his head, and then eventually from a wagon. After years of success, Pepe purchased the apartment building that he lived at and converted the ground floor into a grand pizzeria. The new pizzeria opened in summer 1936; at the time, it was the largest pizzeria in the United States. Throughout the 1950s-60s, Pepe experimented with putting fresh shucked clams on the pizza. Today the "White Clam Pie" is considered Frank Pepe's signature pizza. Frank Pepe passed away in 1969, but his legacy lives on. The original pizzeria owned by the Boccamaiello Family was later reopened under the name "The Spot". It was purchased by the Pepe Family in 1981 and reopened as a satellite location. The Pepe Family later franchised the brand. Aside from the two original locations in New Haven, there are now eight other locations in Connecticut and an additional eight throughout the East Coast. On a recent trip to see a concert at Mohegan Sun Casino, my older son and I stopped for dinner at the Pepe's location there (which opened in July 2009). I've visited this location a number of times before. Although a number of people have been critical of the pizza here, I've never had a bad experience. My son and I ordered and shared three small pies: the "Fresh Tomato Pie" (summer seasonal special: fresh native tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, garlic, grated Pecorino Romano & olive oil), the "Margherita" (crushed Italian tomatoes, fresh mozzarella & fresh basil), and the "Spinach, Mushroom & Gorgonzola" (mozzarella, spinach, mushroom & gorgonzola). We paired the pizzas with some locally-produced Foxon Park White Birch Beer. The toppings were fresh, the crust was crisp, and the flavor was explosive! My son and I ate about half of the pizzas, boxed the leftovers, and shared some delicious "Chocolate & Vanilla Gelato" for dessert. Great food and great service! Sure, the pizza here isn't as good as the pizza at the original New Haven location, but it's still WAY better than any other pizza that you're going to find in this area. We'll continue to eat here during future trips to Mohegan Sun!

The vibe is still solid and the concept is fun, but the execution just hasn't been there. The French dip was a major letdown--dry, bland, and missing the savory punch that makes the dish worth ordering. It felt more like an afterthought than a signature comfort item. Rapidly declining over time. Beer hasn't fared much better. Three out of my last four visits, the beer was served warm, which really takes the enjoyment out of the experience. For a place that leans on its bar identity, that's a tough miss. Service has been consistently lackluster, not rude but disengaged and slow, like everyone's half a step behind. It adds up, especially when the food and drinks aren't hitting the mark. There's still potential here, and the space itself remains appealing, but the recent decline is hard to ignore. With a little attention to quality and consistency, Tom Urban could get back to what made it a favorite in the first place. Cheers
