Came for a snack. Arrived here for just a snack. Was told we could sit anywhere there was a menu on the table. Sat in a round booth. Our waitress came and gave us all waters and then asked if there was a drink we had in mind for ordering. We didn't. Just wanted some lemons with our water. Which she brought. We then ordered our snack. My husband got a burger and I just wanted wings. We also got tater tots which came a few minutes after I had already taken the picture. The burger my husband said was good enough to satisfy his snack craving and my wings were crispy and piping hot. Asked for honey mustard as the sauce. All in all the food was great. Had no complaints. Our waitress was kind and kept us updated on our food when we were waiting. If you want to grab a quick snack this is the place to go. Especially for the price.

Johnny Rockets was a pleasant casino stop during my trip to Mohegan Sun over the weekend. It was a Saturday night at Mohegan, so I was ecstatic when we were seated instantly and service was incredibly speedy. We quickly placed our orders, with my friend and I both ordering a Bacon Cheddar Burger. The burger was $13.25 and didn't come with fries, which was a bit unfortunate but makes sense for a spot in Mohegan. Overall the spot was pleasant and the food was pretty good, although a bit overpriced. Still, a nice spot to swing by if you find yourself in the casino.

Jessica made our visit great! Super sweet and helpful making her the best part of the meal! Always a good, fun dining experience and the tater tots are simply the best! Love the throwback vibe here!

My mother in law's picky grandkids insisted on having Johnny Rockets every day of our trip. My partner and I finally decided to eat with them on the last day of our trip and were pleasantly surprised by the tasty milkshakes and burgers. The red and white booths and mini jukeboxes make you feel like you're in an American diner from the 60s. The service is great and our waitress was personable and checked in on us from time to time. We took a page out of Pulp Fiction and got a vanilla shake and a burger. And some bacon cheese fries because the kids swore by it. The best part of the meal was the vanilla milkshake. No bourbon or gold flakes needed, it's just a very damn good milk shake. The Rocket Double was also great with the fresh toppings and special sauce. The burger is reminiscent of an In & Out, but twice as expensive (sorry JRockets can't beat In & Out). The disappointment was the bacon and cheese fries which were soft and soggy with lukewarm American cheese. The bacon was the best part of the fries. My mother in law's kids just have bad taste. Despite the soggy fries, we all had a good time with good food and good service. Definitely a fun and affordable experience with a vibe.

This place is so clean and the girls behind the counter and serving are so sweet and friendly. I came in at 11:30 before the 12pm rush. My table was already set and my order came fresh within minutes. We ordered two cheeseburgers with cheese fries and banana milkshake it was delicious and much better than Foxwoods Johnny rockets.

Open 24 hours located Inside Mohegan Sun casino. I usually sit at the counter bc food is served faster than sitting at the table, food is still pipping hot. You know how fast the fries get soggy. Burgers are great, cheese fries are great, the shakes. It's my got to place for midnight "snack " service is always friendly n courteous.

When I stayed at Mohegan Sun there weren't many open options for breakfast. Johnny Rockets was open so we decided to go here. I recommend going early because the line to be seated started to get busy right around 9:30. Probably because there aren't many sit down breakfast restaurants. I was a little underwhelmed with my veggie omelette. The onions and peppers were sliced very big and made it hard to enjoy. However the friendly and quick service made up for it. The prices are also very affordable, which was nice since everything in Mohegan Sun is expensive.

Came in saw sign to wait to be seated. A young man told me to sit anywhere there were menus on the table and walked away. Sat down and looked over the menu. The waitress had to explain how the deal works. Ordered and food came out very fast. Almost too fast questioning is it just cooked or precooked. The food tasted good and was hot so I can't really say. Milk shake was very thick and I'm not a big fan of Hershey syrup so I can't say it was great but for people who like that taste they will love it. Ate about half because it was filling. Waitress was eating her dinner in back but came out to see how everything was. Asked for Togo boxes. Wrapped it up, paid and left. Felt sick to my stomach within a half hour. Had to buy alka seltzer to settle it. I think it was just too greasy of a burger. Not really sure but I had to go to bed instead of enjoying my time at the casino. Super disappointed. Not sure if I want to go back or not. The place itself is cool looking with jukeboxes on every table.

The vibe is still solid and the concept is fun, but the execution just hasn't been there. The French dip was a major letdown--dry, bland, and missing the savory punch that makes the dish worth ordering. It felt more like an afterthought than a signature comfort item. Rapidly declining over time. Beer hasn't fared much better. Three out of my last four visits, the beer was served warm, which really takes the enjoyment out of the experience. For a place that leans on its bar identity, that's a tough miss. Service has been consistently lackluster, not rude but disengaged and slow, like everyone's half a step behind. It adds up, especially when the food and drinks aren't hitting the mark. There's still potential here, and the space itself remains appealing, but the recent decline is hard to ignore. With a little attention to quality and consistency, Tom Urban could get back to what made it a favorite in the first place. Cheers

It's actually one of the more expensive restaurants on the Mohegan Sun property. The others are high value, this place takes the cash but the portions oof. I'm sure they will blame tariffs, Iran, Ukraine, Palestine or some political issue for it but the fact is the markup is extreme especially even more so for a dive theme restaurant. Example lobster at fish market is $6-10 per lb in the region, in the summer the price is lower. Yet lobster here starts at nearly $80 and up. That's a lot higher than the standard markup. Got the Fisherman's platter portion size not impressed for the price. Taste completely unseasoned, already a horrible start. The shrimp were way overcooked. The Fish bland, and tough, overcooked as well. The scallops good natural flavor, unseasoned and also overcooked. Truly sad cause if prepared right while a bit overpriced probably the closest thing to a fair price it would have been a home run. Can confirm seasoning does actually improve taste if only the cook/chef knew that. Food is still overcooked but salt and pepper does help it go down. The waitress was great that is a plus and the beer was solid. Overall the casino has better options, looked like a cool place had a line waiting for open but disappointing the food was overcooked and bland. Always willing to give another chance but first impression wasn't good at all. Staff is amazing so that's a plus.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is a New Haven-style pizzeria that opened in New Haven, Connecticut…read morein 1925. It was founded by Francesco "Frank" Pepe: an immigrant from Maiori, Italy. Pepe first arrived in America in 1909 at the age of sixteen. He eventually learned the baking trade and for a time he worked at Generoso Muro's Bakery. In 1925, a one-story brick bakery owned by the Boccamaiello Family at 163 Wooster Street became available for rent. Pepe seized the opportunity to start his own business. At first, Pepe mainly baked and delivered bread. Eventually, he began making pizza. The only toppings were tomato sauce and grated Romano cheese; anchovies were a traditional add-on item. Pepe would travel up and down the streets selling his pizza on a pot that he balanced on his head, and then eventually from a wagon. After years of success, Pepe purchased the apartment building that he lived at and converted the ground floor into a grand pizzeria. The new pizzeria opened in summer 1936; at the time, it was the largest pizzeria in the United States. Throughout the 1950s-60s, Pepe experimented with putting fresh shucked clams on the pizza. Today the "White Clam Pie" is considered Frank Pepe's signature pizza. Frank Pepe passed away in 1969, but his legacy lives on. The original pizzeria owned by the Boccamaiello Family was later reopened under the name "The Spot". It was purchased by the Pepe Family in 1981 and reopened as a satellite location. The Pepe Family later franchised the brand. Aside from the two original locations in New Haven, there are now eight other locations in Connecticut and an additional eight throughout the East Coast. On a recent trip to see a concert at Mohegan Sun Casino, my older son and I stopped for dinner at the Pepe's location there (which opened in July 2009). I've visited this location a number of times before. Although a number of people have been critical of the pizza here, I've never had a bad experience. My son and I ordered and shared three small pies: the "Fresh Tomato Pie" (summer seasonal special: fresh native tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, garlic, grated Pecorino Romano & olive oil), the "Margherita" (crushed Italian tomatoes, fresh mozzarella & fresh basil), and the "Spinach, Mushroom & Gorgonzola" (mozzarella, spinach, mushroom & gorgonzola). We paired the pizzas with some locally-produced Foxon Park White Birch Beer. The toppings were fresh, the crust was crisp, and the flavor was explosive! My son and I ate about half of the pizzas, boxed the leftovers, and shared some delicious "Chocolate & Vanilla Gelato" for dessert. Great food and great service! Sure, the pizza here isn't as good as the pizza at the original New Haven location, but it's still WAY better than any other pizza that you're going to find in this area. We'll continue to eat here during future trips to Mohegan Sun!

Entrees: --Brisket pappardelle ($48), spinach pappardelle, white-wine braised brisket, shaved pecorino. A disaster. Listed on the menu as one of "Todd's favorites," the pasta was way undercooked, stuck together in a gloppy, tasteless sauce. Three of us shared three appetizers, two entrees, and two sides. The meal was good, but not as amazing as the last few times we were here. Crab Cake (8/10) - This was the highlight of every meal I had here before and I still enjoyed it. However, the crispy crust was missing today, which made eating the crab cake more like a crab salad. Also, some more acidity would have gone a long way. Nueske's Double Smoked Bacon (7.5/10) - Quality of the meat is clearly there, but I wish it was a bit more tender rather than so firm. The maple glaze does also get a bit sweet. Caesar Salad (6.5/10) - It's not a bad version, but I forgot to add the white anchovy, which was necessary to take it to the next level. Bone-In Ribeye (7.5/10) - When I cut it open, the color was perfectly hot pink from edge to edge. Sadly, it did feel a bit tough for something that looked so well made. Furthermore, I remember the steaks here having a crispier crust, which is crucial for a top notch restaurant quality steak in my mind. Chilean Sea Bass (4/10) - Not that it was horrible, but it's hard to screw up this fish. I can honestly make this dish better at home, which I do quite often. Not explained on the menu, but this fish was likely steamed or sous vide. The skin was not crisped up in any way, and then paired with a boring sauce. This was definitely a disappointment for $56. Roasted Mushrooms (8.5/10) - On the other hand, this may be the best side of mushrooms I have had in any steak house. Served whole and seasoned nicely. Mac & Cheese (7/10) - Pretty solid, but I need firmer pasta and a better cheese pull. The crispy breading on top (ritz crackers?) was done well. Complimentary Bread (8.5/10) - These little suckers were really good. I had three of them with their whipped butter, which I wish was bit more salted. Regardless, one of the best things of the night. All in all, this meal was satisfying as usual. The only differences were minor, but noticeable. Service was a little off today as well, but friendly. I hope they fix these small issues and return to being my favorite restaurant at Mohegan Sun again.
