So above all else I always loved Johnny Rockets even as a kid, never had a problem before. Last night on the other hand disaster. It started off perfectly fine, I was in a family of 5 seating. 4 of us got a patty melt and the other a bacon cheese burger. Before we got 2 shakes leaving the orders thirsty while the rest of us had fountain and our sides. We saw them resting on top of the station for 10 minutes next to shakes that were there before we even ordered. I'm very understanding but the waitress was also very rude, she didn't hand out the food to each person I had too. She kept ignoring us and my mother went up to get the shakes she was just going to bring them back to the table... She waved her off then brought us our food before she brought the shakes out of spite. Then after I brought up my burger was wrong she said it was right a scoffed taking it back. I got a burger covered in mayo and mushrooms, what if I was allergic tbh I just hate them with all my life. Then we had to flag down the manager to just take it off the bill because after the shrooms I just didn't want to eat anymore. Then she handed us off to the sweetest server. Over all my nostalgia is now gone. Going to Bobby Flay every trip if I want a burger from now on. read more

Just your classic breakfast place at Mohegan. There can be a wait at times but this time there wasn't one. The service is always quick and efficient. The food is pretty standard so if you're looking for something fancy this isn't it. I had gotten an omelette and some toast and it was good . Came for a snack. Arrived here for just a snack. Was told we could sit anywhere there was a menu on the table. Sat in a round booth. Our waitress came and gave us all waters and then asked if there was a drink we had in mind for ordering. We didn't. Just wanted some lemons with our water. Which she brought. We then ordered our snack. My husband got a burger and I just wanted wings. We also got tater tots which came a few minutes after I had already taken the picture. The burger my husband said was good enough to satisfy his snack craving and my wings were crispy and piping hot. Asked for honey mustard as the sauce. All in all the food was great. Johnny Rockets was a pleasant casino stop during my trip to Mohegan Sun over the weekend. It was a Saturday night at Mohegan, so I was ecstatic when we were seated instantly and service was incredibly speedy. We quickly placed our orders, with my friend and I both ordering a Bacon Cheddar Burger. The burger was $13.25 and didn't come with fries, which was a bit unfortunate but makes sense for a spot in Mohegan. Overall the spot was pleasant and the food was pretty good, although a bit overpriced. Still, a nice spot to swing by if you find yourself in the casino. read more

Next day we were placing a to-go order at kiosk, 2 other patrons took their to-go order and sat at counter to eat, staff advised they needed to leave a "tip" if they ate at counter. Unfortunately I had [as my grandmother would say] my face all made up for a cheeseburger at Bobby's Burger Palace. They had just started a complete renovation there two days ago. So we proceeded to Johnny's where the room was not a bit crowded as it was early for the lunchtime crowd. Found a nice big booth for the four of us. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger. It was good and the sliced onions were sweet. The onion rings were also good and the fries piping hot. All in all, it was a good meal but I still miss Bobby's burgers! read more

My mother in law's picky grandkids insisted on having Johnny Rockets every day of our trip. My partner and I finally decided to eat with them on the last day of our trip and were pleasantly surprised by the tasty milkshakes and burgers. The red and white booths and mini jukeboxes make you feel like you're in an American diner from the 60s. The service is great and our waitress was personable and checked in on us from time to time. We took a page out of Pulp Fiction and got a vanilla shake and a burger. And some bacon cheese fries because the kids swore by it. The best part of the meal was the vanilla milkshake. No bourbon or gold flakes needed, it's just a very damn good milk shake. The Rocket Double was also great with the fresh toppings and special sauce. The burger is reminiscent of an In & Out, but twice as expensive (sorry JRockets can't beat In & Out). The disappointment was the bacon and cheese fries which were soft and soggy with lukewarm American cheese. The bacon was the best part of the fries. My mother in law's kids just have bad taste. Despite the soggy fries, we all had a good time with good food and good service. Definitely a fun and affordable experience with a vibe. read more

Experience was better than expected. 1st the burger was excellent , it was so hot off the grill , they must have ran it over 10 seconds off the grill . I've never had such a hot fresh burger . I had the Rt66 burger and all the toppings were also great . Definitely A+ on the burger , I also got the root beer float , perfect and hit the spot , I also got the cheese fries, and that was the only disappointment, the fries were unseasoned and just smothered with nacho cheese , a real soggy mess, maybe they should offer the cheese on the side for dipping ? This place is so clean and the girls behind the counter and serving are so sweet and friendly. I came in at 11:30 before the 12pm rush. My table was already set and my order came fresh within minutes. Stopped in for dinner before the concert and found the restaurant to be packed with a waiting line for tables as well as take out orders. Turnover seemed to be pretty quick so our wait time was about 15 minutes or so. Seating is a combination of booths and tables. Booths are tight if you're a person of size so you may want to wait for a table. Can always opt for counter seating as well but didn't look super comfortable. Menu is fairly large for a fast food place with plenty of selections to suit the whole family. Thought it was a little pricey but to be expected being located in a casino. We ordered an original burger with cheese, tater tots, bacon cheddar burger and onion rings. Wait time was about average, maybe 15 minutes or so. Burgers came served on paper plates and arrived about 5 minutes before the onion rings. The tots arrived about 10 minutes later. Burgers were pretty much tun of the mill with the. Bacon burger loaded with a slice of large onion and about a teaspoon of their special sauce. Fortunately there was plenty of ketchup on the table. Onion made eating the burger a little challenging as the rings kept falling out of the burger. The stars were the tots and the onion rings. Both were well fried, crispy, and served piping hot. Service was good considering how busy they were. A return trip is possible the next time we go to the casino. Might even have one of their great looking milkshakes. read more

When I stayed at Mohegan Sun there weren't many open options for breakfast. Johnny Rockets was open so we decided to go here. I recommend going early because the line to be seated started to get busy right around 9:30. Probably because there aren't many sit down breakfast restaurants. I was a little underwhelmed with my veggie omelette. The onions and peppers were sliced very big and made it hard to enjoy. However the friendly and quick service made up for it. The waitress had to explain how the deal works. Ordered and food came out very fast. Almost too fast questioning is it just cooked or precooked. The food tasted good and was hot so I can't really say. Milk shake was very thick and I'm not a big fan of Hershey syrup so I can't say it was great but for people who like that taste they will love it. Ate about half because it was filling. Waitress was eating her dinner in back but came out to see how everything was. Asked for Togo boxes. Wrapped it up, paid and left. Felt sick to my stomach within a half hour. Had to buy alka seltzer to settle it. I think it was just too greasy of a burger. Not really sure but I had to go to bed instead of enjoying my time at the casino. Super disappointed. Always have been a go to spot . But it's been a few years since I been back and I must say it was a wonderful experience. Roberta was our waitress, she was excellent. We were a party of 5 and I Must say with a long shift ahead of her she was lively. She had a great attitude, she was helpful and would come and check in , she was just awesome!! . The restaurant was busy but not extremely busy. We waited a few minutes to be seated. We gave the waiter a heads up that we possibly might of had to leave for a few minutes and come back and she had no problem with it! We put in our order, came out quickly and must say the food was tasty! My salad was huge. I mean a lot of it was a big pile of lettuce but it tasted good along with there home made ranch dressing. It was fresh! There was no Complaints. As for the other meals which was chili fries, veggie burger, tuna melt and a #12. Everything was great! Burgers don't come with fries fries. I will never come to this restaurant again. I was here September 12th 2025 with my family. After we were seated, we gave our orders. Everything seemed fine. One my family members noticed Emily Burse pointing over to our table and talking smack by the counter pointing to our table. When we were given our food it was basically tossed in front of us like we were garbage. And the woman Emily Burse had called security. She had told them we were "harassing " her. No one in the family was even speaking to her. She lied to security and when we were exiting we were confronted. This woman needs to keep her personal issues with people out of the work place. I tend to eat here mostly for breakfast at this location. A co-worker brought me food one morning and I do like it a lot. It's a basic breakfast sandwich BLT w/ an egg, but it's good! So when I'm in town for a few days I'll usually get this if not everyday, every other day. It's always made fresh and is enough to last me for the day. The staff does wear masks and gloves and practice social distancing for dine in or take out. I order take out only and there is a clear shield at the counter to order to go. We were here earlier today. The server completely left us hanging after about 10 minutes. My father had to pay at the front and I had to ask for to go containers at the bar area. Our server never came back! Because I was staying at the hotel we decided to go back later that night since it was one of the closest restaurants to where we were staying. They missed my food completely and our fries were literally half the size that they were earlier. They did not pick up the phone the three or four times that we called to place an order within the Mohegan Sun hotel. We had to wait an extra hour and a half. I tried to visit this location August 11th and 10:00 for a to go order. I was met with an older man working the front counter talking down to me. I first asked if I can place an order for take out where he looked at me and nodded. Looking like I was bothering him I wanted to put my order in so I wouldn't be bothering him anymore. I tried to order a chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries and he then says "wait" in a very rude tone. Shakes his head and then proceeds to tell me that I need to wait because he needs to link my order with the pager that's OK, but he said it in a very condescending tone like I was an idiot. The food gets three stars and the price point gets one star and the service gets five stars. Here's some deets: Our waitress, Cassie, was wicked pissah. Very friendly and quick and did "extras" like placing straws from the retro container in front of our bevs and made a catsup smiley face. She was attentive as hell and all-around dynamite. The food was good but not great. I got the Double Bacon Burger which was OK but did not really blast off with much flavor and was teenie for the $$$. Nothing wrong taste-wise but just plain. The meat was nice and greasy but the overall flav of the whole burger was just OK. Making a burger is not rocket science so you could make this at home with no trouble. I got a Peanut Banana Shake which was good and not too thick and made with real bananas and PB. The fries were good and nice and fresh and hot. The plate o' fries was 4 bucks and enough for two peeps if you aren't a fry fiend. My One got the Chicken Sammy "Brady-style" (no tomato). It was OK. Just basic. I believe it was the late Sigmund Freud who once said, "Sometimes a sammy is just a sammy..." The price point was mental. Very mental. This modest food session was over 50 bucks including tip. Craving Johnny Rockets after winning at the poker tables, my friend and I set out for a short quick bite. Independence Day weekend, very busy, lines at every Mohegan Eatery. We found Johnny Rockets and saw a line of guests waiting for tables. When then line was not moving we saw two counter spots open and bellied up. Place looked clean, so good first impression. Beyond that, it took 10 minutes for one of the many busy and fast-walking servers to make eye contact with one of us, and at one point, we were finally addressed even though the three guys next to us were also waiting, even longer than us. The server was a bit gruff and clearly stressed due to guest volume. Several servers who passed us on the other side of the counter were complaining loudly about Their tables and the length it was taking to get food to them. Fair play though that they were concerned with it. All I can suggest is that management talk to Their team and remind them to go to the back of house in order to rant, and not to do it while in earshot or view of guests. Once we had our orders taken, the food was lightning fast - piping hot and crispy onion rings, a Route 66, and a classic, all cooked correctly, all mods, subtractions and add-ins correct, and all delicious. If the entire experience was as good as the last ten minutes when we wolfed down the food and paid, this could have easily been a five star review. Last tidbit - as we were paying, a guest waiting for table asked if she needed to wait on the line to sit at the counter and a server said yes, the line was for all dine-in. This made us feel bad about essentially cutting a line of hungry people, but maybe this can be a little clearer so people do not feel like they are being skipped over.
