I love Bobby's Meals and have been a patron since my husband introduced me to them in 2009. Amazing vegan specials that are so tasty. Curried chick peas, brown stew tofu, bok choy, callaloo and boiled banana to name a few. Their stewed peas are delicious and they have some of the best sorrel I've ever tried. I've always had a pleasant experience with the service each and every time I've come to Bobby's. Food 8/10 Service/ Manager = Zero hospitality skills, Zero accountability, Zero Customer service. I've been supporting this restaurant for about six years. I've always enjoyed the food and genuinely wanted to see a small, Black-owned business thrive even when my orders were occasionally wrong. I never complained or asked for refunds, because I believed in supporting them and giving grace. Last week, however, my takeout order was missing sides and included items I hadn't ordered. I called the next day, calmly explained what happened, and even said I understood the challenges of running a small business. I just wanted to know how they'd like to make it right. The staff member offered to remake the meal, which I appreciated. A few minutes later, the manager called back to say they'd prefer to refund me and no longer accept my business. After six years of loyal support and patience, that response was disappointing. Respect, appreciation, and accountability go a long way in business. Being accountable and treating customers with fairness and gratitude is what keeps people coming back, it builds trust and community. Unfortunately, this type of response is exactly why so many Black customers hesitate to keep supporting Black-owned businesses. When we try to show loyalty and understanding, we're often met with defensiveness instead of accountability. And then, when we take our business to non-Black establishments, it becomes another point of criticism. That's the real problem, not lack of support, but lack of accountability and consistency in how business is done. I'm sharing this not out of anger, but disappointment. I truly liked this restaurant and hoped to continue supporting it. I still wish them success, but I hope they take this as an opportunity to reflect and grow, because respect, appreciation, and accountability are what truly sustain any business or community. read more

If I have never reviewed Bobby's meals before let me tell you I have done them a disservice. I have been going to Bobby's meals for well over 10 years and every time I visit, I return more than satisfied. The food has always maintained a consistency in flavor, portion, quality etc. I am never disappointed! I've mostly ordered vegan/vegetarian dishes but occasionally I have ordered the fish. No complaints about the fish dish either! Always great flavor and fresh snapper. Any person who does not know about vegetarian/vegan meals that I have introduced to Bobby's always wants seconds. ***Bobby's is located within a block of warehouses in Opa Locka. This definitely looks odd and is not your traditional restaurant setting, but trust me... there is a restaurant there... all you have to do is walk up and open the door :-). You will thank me later. ;-) Also, this is a take-out place that only has a small counter that you can stand and eat at if you so choose. There are usually a number of people sitting in the cars out front eating their food. Weird. But trust me the food is so good that I have sat in my car and had a few bites before making the 45 minutes drive back to the office. Luckily, I was able to scope this place out and called them to see if they served fresh juices. Yes, they did! Although most of their flavors might have been already sold out, I was informed they were made freshly and bottled for maximum enjoyment. I pulled up to a warehouse within a strip and immediately spotted the Rasta gear out front. Destiny attended with the upmost customer service. They have daily specials of vegetarian and vegan dishes that are generously portioned and wholesomely prepared. It's a simple little spot yet they serve dishes in an extraordinary way. There was a meal of the day with three sides of your choice, all plant based. The portion is generous and the flavors were truly beyond my expectations. It was comforting and aromatic, like something your grandma used to make. There is room for growth as It isn't an attractive place esthetically and even the food is kind of mushed together into a to-go box but it's just another way this food is resonant of the days when the best eats didn't have to be pretty. First and foremost, let me begin by saying i had such a hard time finding this place. So its definitely a hidden gem. It's between some warehouse located on opa-locka boulevard. It's a small location just to pick up. Or at least I didn't see a seating section. I went through te main door and didn't see any other doors which could lead elsewhere and wasn't offered seating. So I'm assuming there was none. However, I didn't ask. The menu is limited VERY limited. Today they had tofu, cabbage and spinach, stew peas, and chicken (forgot with what). You select three items and it's served with rice with peas. I didn't ask, but it's possible the menu changes on a daily basis. I'm honestly not upset about the limited selection. Regardless of not having seating and limited options the food was great! Omg I'm so satisfied. For a small plate I paid $7.07 and was stuffed. However, a man would probably want the large plate and have some left over. They also have a nice selection of natural juices but I didn't try those. Bobby's offers vegetarian/vegan Jamaican food. It's located in between warehouses which can be a bit difficult to find if you're coming for the first time. Their food is good and flavorful but be aware, sometimes it can be slightly spicy. This place isn't for dining in, they don't have tables to sit at but they do have a small counter area that you can eat at standing, if you want to. Also, the only difference between their small and large meals is the pricing because their servings are just about the same so pay the extra couple of dollars and go for the large. Ok. So im always on the hunt to find GOOD vegan food in miami. So we google this area and found Bobby's. It was super hard to spot the place because it is in a warehouse area and the sign is not so visible. So then we walk in it looks super sketchy and kinda dirty. I hate walking into food places that look dirty because if the outside looks like that I can only imagine the kitchen. The sign clearly says lunch is served at 12:30. So we waited we got there a few min before 12:30. There was no menu to look at. After we waited about 10 mins to get attended a Jamaican man approached us and asked what we wanted. I asked "what do you guys have?" This man looked at me like I had just mentioned his momma. From what I could understand cuz his accent was very heavy he was arguing that he was not some guy that he was a Rasta. That went on for about 5 min. We asked about vegan options he said that was the new word that the correct word was something else. All in all service was HORRIBLE!!!!!! The place was DIRTY and the food was Alright.
