Real Appliance Repair looked at the refrigerator and quoted $200 less but also pointed out that while the refrigerator itself only had a 1 year warranty, the compressor causing the issue might still be covered. He suggested I call LG before doing anything else. I called and the compressor was under warranty with parts and labor fully covered!
