I contacted a number of people to get a quote on installing a vent hood that needed to be vented to the outside. One outfit was going to send someone over but would charge $75 for the estimate but would roll that $75 into the job if I chose to use them. Pro Fit didn't play these games. They said they would come over to give a quote on the price. Don showed up EXACTLY when he said he would. He gave me the price for the job and I agreed on the spot. We scheduled the job and Don showed up 15 minutes earlier than scheduled and did the job with his brother Ron in the exact amount of time estimated. Thank you, Don, Ron and Mike of Pro Fit Installation for taking care of us. We appreciate your service and professionalism regarding a somewhat small and quirky installation situation. Our old electric 30" cook top conked out a week ago, so we decided to order a newer model. It arrived, and it was quickly discovered that the new 30" unit would not fit into the existing 30" cut drop-in hole. So we needed some cutting in addition to the hook-up. Now, mind you, this is a vintage (ca. early 80s) Formica counter-top we're dealing with -- easy to scratch and crack -- so we were leery of taking on this job ourselves. Called around, had some people come out (they very honestly said they wouldn't touch the project), but only after having Don's team of Ron and Mike come out that we got the issue resolved. They had no angst about cutting and matching the dimensions of the counter-top to match the cook top's. Measured, cut, sawed -- TA-DAH! They dropped the unit in, got it hooked up, and voila: we are once again happy with our home. All at a very reasonable price. Don did come from the referral of a contractor who came out and wasn't able to help us, and that's perfectly all right -- this particular contractor was honest about it, and I appreciated his candor. He personally put me on the phone with Don, got all the specs taken care of, and we went from there. Also, while Don himself was not available to show up for the job, his crew did show up as promised (earlier, in fact), and stayed on point (project, amount of time, price) the whole time. They took one look at the project and said, "We can get this done." And they did. All in all, less than an hour from start to finish. And plus-plus points -- they cleaned up not just their own mess but a mess made by others before them. Icing: Don called me after-hours today to ask how things went. What a pro! I loves me some follow-up. Those, to me, are excellent CS skills at their best. So, thank you Don, Ron and Mike. Start to Finish Pro Fit exceeded my expectations. The work was extensive from my point of view b/c it included replacing all appliances, moving the gas for the range and installing a, first time ever in my home DW, in a former cabinet space. Don, the owner, recommended trimming the space for the microwave to open up the area between it and the stove top. It looks so good now. Install day came and everything went better than expected. It took less time than estimated and the total bill was LESS than the estimate. They left the space clean. Getting Don (Pro Fit) involved before purchasing the appliances was important, as he recommended those that would work best in my space. Wish I could attach before and after photos. read more

This company does excellent work in installation of appliances. They were very fair with pricing. Don, the owner, was just as interested as I was that the finished job was perfect. Our new refrigerator was a built in model, however the cabinets were not exactly correct for the fit. Don was able to come up with a alternative design using a stainless steel fabrication that he acquired for us and came back and installed around the refrigerator. It is perfect. He made the new overhead cooking vent fit like a glove with his expertise and tweaks. After my granite was installed Don came back at a minimum charge and leveled my gas stove. One of the best companies I have had the pleasure of working with. I highly recommend them. read more

Really odd service. They were great in the beginning. They gave me a reasonable quote for a hood and appliances installations. I decided to go with them due to their friendly demeanor and reasonable quotes. A tattooed covered guy came to install my appliances and did an awesome job but couldn't finish due to my cabinet guys not having done their job properly....don't judge a book by its cover. He is awesome. Well, he asked for cash for payment but I didn't have it since I wasn't told in advance so he agreed to collect when he came back out to finish. Cool. I called when the cabinet guys finished their job but I couldn't get a hold of pro fit. I tried for days only to get ignored. They finally answered and to my surprise accused me of skipping out on them. I explained there is definitely miscommunication and I wasn't trying to get free service or trying to be shady but was only met with insults and was told to keep my money and part ways. Wow. I sent the money through my bank online and never heard from profit again. They never finished their job and never returned my calls/ emails. The owner may have some issues with people skills but if his tattoo covered nephew was on his own I would definitely use him. Too bad. read more

We just had a new dishwasher and gas cooktop installed; the cooktop required cutting our Corian countertop. I would like to recommend Pro Fit, phone 801-5287. They did an excellent job at a very reasonable cost -- much more reasonable than another installer I called. Best of all, they are happy to do cabinet modification when needed. These guys are great. They walked the job before and had the electrician move plugs that were put in the wrong place. They showed up when they said. You wouldn't believe the trades that have to " reschedule " on you. They did an excellent job. They are trust worthy and I would recommend them to anyone! we wish we could give them zero stars...Ron and his helper (who smelled of marijuana not to just the homeowner but to another contractor and his helper and we all independently commented on it after they left) Recommended by Factory Builder Supply Stores as their go to for difficult installations, many problems resulted. Scratches, poor conduit feed without insulation, etc. The owner tried to just call it even and not charge us for the "install". They scratched and ruined $20,000 cabinets from Kingwood Cabinetry who are kindly trying to fix issues caused by Pro-Fit. The vent hood was improperly installed. no wonder the owner wants to jump and run. he doesnt want to man-up to the issues caused by his installers. Factory. builder Stores recommends this company highly and we followed their guidance...sadly now, we are left with open wires in our attic, inadequate sealing to form the vacuum needed for a vent hood to properly work and the knowledge they do not test their employees for drug use...as was obvious when he descended the attic staircase... again, three different people independently commented on the smell. we tried to engage the guy and he would back off. it was obvious to all of us this was an incompetent crew. beware of Factory Builder Stores and most especially their referral to. We have contracted with Pro Fit numerous times over the past year and without fail they have done an excellent job every time. They are courteous, timely and efficient and their construction work and skills are A+. Also their quotes are quite fair especially considering the quality of their work. Pro Fit completed a kitchen appliance remodel for us as well as some cabinet repair on our home. They also completed several remodeling jobs on our rental properties recently and as always, did a beautiful job. We will definitely request their services in the future. read more

I used Pro Fit today after a very short notice to them. I was more then impressed with the entire crew. Don the owner came straight to my house to estimate how long install would take, after looking it over, he fit me in immediately. He already had several other jobs to do, but stopped to help me. They finished quickly and efficiently. Although others have complained about the looks and smells of Dons crew, I can assure you they were 100% professional on this job. Don't judge a book by its cover, because this crew was one of the best I have had. I have done several remodels and not seen near the efficiency and knowledge that Don and crew had! They even cleaned up any mess that was made from modifications. I will always call on Pro Fit in my future needs and will recommend them to all of my family and friends! The two installers have the attitude of "I could care less" and "I've got somewhere better to be today." I wish they did go somewhere else that day. The range installer, pushed the range and when I stated it sat up too high, he responded with "that's the way they all are." He then went out to the van to smoke a cigarette. The dishwasher installer was upset because he couldn't find the proper screws and then because he got called out to help someone move a fridge up some stairs, at another job in town. He then went out to van also. I went out to the van and inquired about signing off, was everything okay, etc., the dishwasher installer said "oh yeah, let me show you something." Turns out a shorter cord was installed (he didn't tell me that, but the electrician did) and he couldn't plug in my dishwasher and so I was told to call an electrician to move the outlet. The other day, I used the new range for the first time and discovered one of the elements didn't work. Guess they just install whatever and don't care if it works or not and/or don't bother to tell you. The owner did try to make things right with the dishwasher installation, but I don't think the poor guy can make up for the other two who just don't care. read more
