I used this "business" because of all the great reviews. Bob came out and talked a good game but I never got the service he promised. He took my money, had a couple guys do some pounding on my roof, put on some vent covers, didn't complete half of what was to be done, and never returned as he said he would. I'm not sure what his basis is for who he treats properly and who he doesn't but I absolutely would not recommend his services. Every piece of my gutter he replaced, still leaks and the gutters overflow worse than they did before he touched them. I reached out to him and received an excuse about him having health issues. He said he'd be back out to resolve the issues. That was March 2nd, 2026. I haven't seen Bob, but I do see posts stating he's been working on other homes. The disrespect is amazing. It's a good thing I have all of our text messages saved because this guy robbed me. Don't believe these reviews. I don't know who's writing them but I can't imagine receiving topnotch service from a guy who didn't resolve any issues and ran away with a woman's money. There's also an animal still living in my attic. The BBB and court is next. I want my money back. If he thinks I'm going to keep reminding him to do his job, he has another thing coming. Bob was very knowledgeable about raccoons and their way of life. He is very easy to get ahold of, was prompt to his appointment and texted when he was in able to make it. Highly recommended! We moved into our new house and discovered that we had skunks living under our porch. Don't waste your time with the franchise type places, they have a sales quota. I was given a 4k proposal to trap, clean for Raccoons in attic by one of those places. Bob came by and said they never made it in, tore the shingles in several spots but no entry. See, he got in the roof and did full inspection. Sales guy from other company would not go on room, so did lookin attic and said- yes, you definitely have them in there. Bob does the trapping and any needed repairs. Bob is wonderful! I found squirrels in my backyard shed. Bob came out and explained the process, and had momma and teens removed and the hole patched. His assistant did warn me that the roof was rotting and that the squirrels might return and open up a new hole. A few weeks later the teens and a newly pregnant mom were back. Bob came out , caught the squatters, and replaced the whole roof . No squirrels in the shed any more but I suspect the young ones are hanging out in my yard. He does get very busy. Well, I'm here to write a 100% legit, positive review about Bobcat Trapping. I had an issue with squirrels on my roof. Not sure if they were getting into the house or what they were doing, but I was constantly hearing their fast "footsteps". I researched to see who I should have come to take a look and found all these great reviews for Bobcat Trapping. I called and talked to Bob on a Friday afternoon and he was able to come out on Saturday. He surveyed the situation and gave me the plan of action. He set up humane traps and stopped by anytime he was in the area on another call to see if we caught anything. All in all, we got 5 culprits (he takes them and releases them to a wooded area) and sealed up the spots where they were getting into the soffits. Bob and crew were reliable, provided pricing that was more than reasonable, treated the squirrels humanely, did great work, and were also great people. I had quite a few nice conversations with them while they worked, ranging from talking about wildlife to every day life. The highest praise I can give is I'd recommend Bobcat Trapping to anyone and I'd use them again if/when the need arises. read more

We had a squirrel running around in the attic. Tried several places, Bob was the only one who answered our call on a weekend and scheduled a call for the next day. Bob came out, figured out the point of entry and took care of everything in about an hour. Bob is the best! We had a skunk spray under our house during a blizzard and power outage and needless to say, the smell was just awful. I called him and was happy to hear he had availability the next morning. I was concerned that the skunk was IN our crawlspace. That's how strong the smell was. Bob came out and was able to tell just by looking at tracks that the skunk lived under our neighbor's house, but we had a opossum under ours. He set several humane traps and caught the opossum once the snow melted a bit. When looking at our crawlspace, Bob also discovered we had mice. We had no idea! He has since completed work to make sure that the perimeter of our house is mouse-proof and larger animals can no longer get under our home. It was amazing how quickly the number of mice he was was catching went down. It seems now that we are mouse free! While he was completing the animal-proofing, Bob noticed more tracks, set another trap and caught a huge skunk. We're quite sure it's the one who sprayed our home and we're glad it's gone! On top of being extremely knowledgeable, Bob is also very pleasant and nice to talk to. I might not miss the critters, but having Bob come by definitely made the experience more enjoyable. read more

Great service!! We called Bobcat Trapping because we heard some loud noises in our attic. Bob was very quick to return our call. He asked a lot of questions to asses the situation. He explained everything that could be possible, what interventions might be needed and explained pricing. He came out and found how the creature got in; it was they the attic fan. He inspected the attic and then set traps on the roof. It took a few days but two squirrels were caught and no more noises in our attic, hooray!! Bob really know his stuff! He put a grate over the attic fan so no other creatures get any ideas. Bob is great to work with, keeps in contact and is there when he says he will be there. There were no contracts to sign, no surprise charges and work was done very well and the price was very fair. Hopefully we won't have this need again but if we do Bobcat Trapping is our first call! I don't normally write reviews, but Bob did such a good job ridding my house of squirrels, I felt like I should let the world know. I came home from a work trip to a hole in my wall, with a piece of tree branch sticking out of it... on the INSIDE of my house. I called a pest control company (they do not deal with pests larger than rats) and they suggested Bob. He was prompt in setting traps, and the 3 idiot squirrels that were living for free in my walls were trapped in less than 6 hours. He came out the next day and removed them to live their life out in suburbia, patched up the holes they made, and squirrel-proofed behind my gutters (their personal entrance into my house). I definitely recommend Bob and team. We initially hired them to deal with some squirrels who had moved into our attic, and then the raccoon who moved in to have babies inside. The team was communicative, visited often, and responded very well to text about what was going on. It felt good to be in the know and communicating with someone when you have a lot of anxiety about what's happening in your home. Yes it took a few weeks to resolve the issue, but they did a great job of sealing up all the holes keeping us in the loop and was affordable to boot. We had a fairly obvious problem by our house. A skunk. Based on the Yelp reviews we called Bobcat Trapping. We were very glad we did. Bob came to the house immediately and inspected the area. They began setting traps right away. They even helped moved some stuff from the porch for us. Bob took care of everything that needed to be done. It took a few days to get the skunk but Bobcat trapping checked every day and made adjustments to the traps wherever necessary. It turned out that the one skunk that was caught very quickly was the only one and the rest of the time was Bob being very thorough. After They were sure the area under our porch was clear they then installed a barrier to protect against this from happening again. I very highly recommend Bobcat Trapping for needs in this area. Bob helped us with a raccoon issue in our backyard. It had been quivering on our patio for about 5-6 hours during the morning/afternoon. I messaged Bob on Yelp and he messaged me right back with the most fair quote of all the others I had gotten. Apparently the raccoon was sick and wouldn't be going anywhere on his own. Bob was timely, professional and most of all, kind and honest. He communicated with me via text to let me know when he would be able to come out (that same day). He also let me know when he was about ten minutes away. I was in the middle of putting my baby to sleep and I texted him that I may not be able to answer the door right away. Wow what a blessing! I had skunks making a home under my deck and my dogs just loved to "play" with them. Called Bobcat Trapping & Building and within a day they sent someone out to set traps So relieved. They safely trapped and transported the stinkers away and followed up within a few days to make sure they had captured all of them. I also contracted them to apply their carpentry skills to build and close off the area around my deck to avoid future varmint problems. Timely, professional and friendly service. Bob's crew covered our shed to prevent critters from getting under the shed. The 2 guys did an outstanding job with detail and finishing. Bob was very responsive to all communication and was on the job at the beginning and end to make sure everything was done right. They were so neat at the job site you wouldn't know they were even here. There is no way critters are going to get in under our shed with how they dug 12" deep and 12" out to put wire and then trimmed over it to match the shed. I need to give a shoutout to Bob Laussen and Bobcat Trapping and Building! Until we started working with Bob and his crew, we were extremely frustrated by unresolved pest/wildlife issues. We have a wooded lot; our yard is frequented by wildlife. Squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, opossums, mice, foxes, deer, rabbits, etc frequent our yard. For years, we contacted pest control services about hearing mice in the walls. Most companies set traps, put out poisonous bait, and/or simply handed us glue traps. The problem was never resolved. A few companies even told us we were imagining the sounds. Most companies would not go into the attic or basement to identify entry points. After researching a few companies, we discovered Bobcat Trapping and Building - what a blessing! Bob's comprehensive knowledge of construction and pest control are unmatched! We have been working with Bobcat for about 2 years (found him on Thumbtack). I echo the other reviewers in saying he is great. He is very responsive (I too have gotten replies on Sunday) and also knowledgeable, effective, reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with. We have had issues with voles/chipmunks (under the stoop), mice and bats. We have had other trappers with no success. Bob figured out and fixed the problems in every case and as a result our house is now animal free! He checks in often and follows through, which is so great.
