I had used this service to remove birds and they were great. I needed to trap a pregnant squirrel who was chowing down on my soffit attempting to make her way into my attic. Response was fast - received what I thought was a contract - as I signed it and provided my credit card #. This plan was itemized and I agreed. (Later I was told that was only a quote???? Who signs a quote and provides a credit card #?) Finally caught her but was told they couldn't retrieve the trap until 26 hrs later. By then she was dead. After 24 hrs, this is not considered humane. You want a humane service? Don't call these people. I had to tell them to come back and cover the hole with sheet metal - THIS was on the "QUOTE".......to be done. ZERO stars. Customer service and punctuality and professional Qualities which "woo" me when dealing with a business. This company has managed to woo me Thinking I had a wild animal(s) living in a crawl space, I contacted this company Tue evening via Yelp. Literally one min later, I receive a reply from tony the business owner. He said he can come out as soon as the next day to check it out. I had a previous appt., so was unable to have them come out. I was contacted by Jim, their employee @09:15 Thursday morning who worked w/me and gave me a 2 hr window of 12-2pm. He called me when 30 mins out. Guess when he arrived? Yup, in 30 mins. Gave me a written estimate and plan after assessing the property (he also has VERY nice handwriting. Lol) and was very knowledgeable with wildlife. I had animal trackers wildlife come out and do an inspection after hearing noises around dusk from my ceiling. Brandon came out and did a thorough inspection which included a bunch of issues not related to animals. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the things that need to be addressed and gave me pictures of each issue, explained the issue and the ramifications of letting them go. He also gave me a referral to a company that could do the work. I would not hesitate to call animal trackers wildlife again or recommend them to someone else. I heard noises on my roof, when I went outside, I saw a squirrel, he was looking at me and gave the look that he was moving in. The squirrel somehow got underneath my gutter guards and built a nest in my gutters. I located Animal Trackers and left a message for a call back. Tony called me back as I explained the issue he gave me an estimate and worked with me on scheduling the visit. Jim came out the next day, he got up on the roof inspected the nest (no babies) and inspected the rest of the roof (no other issues). Jim asked a few questions as he asked when last I heard the noises, and I said its been a few days. Jim thinks the squirrel may have moved on, but he placed some plastic around the nest and also placed a trap on my roof. He said to check the trap 1st thing in the morning and see if the plastic was disturbed. If it was trapped to call ASAP. If nothing, then after a few days to call and they will remove the trap. After several days there was nothing, called Jim and he came back out to remove the trap, cleaned out the nest, and secured my gutter guard so as to prevent it from getting underneath it. If a company isn't honest and respectful when I first call to get information about their services, I don't care if they gave good prices, I won't use them. I was trying to understand their pricing, because there is an initial fee and a second charge per visit. Well, of course they have to come back to check and remove traps after they are set, or their job isn't done. But when asking why they don't just give one price initially for the complete service and then another for possible future visits, so as not to confuse customers or have them think they are being charged more than they initially thought, Tristan was unnecessarily rude and ignorantly quoted me triple the price. He obviously needs some customer service training. Not a great way to attract new business. read more

Our first time using this type of service, but we desparately needed it to evict mom and baby racoons. I appreciated the expertise provided by Jim (the man who responded) who explained the animal world & habits to us, and how to get rid of them, thus putting me and my husband at ease. He appeared appreciative and respectful of wildlife, as well as knowledgeable, and efficient in his job. The charge was reasonable and there were no surprises. The owner is somewhat rude in the initial consultation. I just let it go as he was recommended by a Restoration company that I was dealing with. He quoted me $125 for initial visit and install of one trap. He said if I wanted an additional trap it would be an additional $75. I told him I would go with two traps. He said if I reconsidered I could lower it to one trap when they came out. He told me the best place to put the trap would be in the Attic the raccoons. We then proceeded to set the appointment. His employee came out and told me putting a trap in the Attic was a bad idea and we should put it outside. Complete opposite of what his boss told me earlier. Now at this point I'm confused. This is their job and now they are contradicting each other. I told his employee there was cats and I did not want a cat to get stuck inside. He replied will try it in the Attic then. After the setup of the single trap he told me it would be $150. I told him his boss had stated $125 for one trap $200 for two. He then proceeded to lower it to $125 no questions. The next day the boss called me and told me it was $150. This guy is a scammer. My girlfriend was in the car and heard the conversation and we agreed it was $125. I told him to come and get his traps and not to charge me anything. He agreed to come and get the traps and said he was happy not to do business with us. I can just imagine what the additional charges would have ended up being. Now I have to go back to the house to give him his trap back as it is a rental. Animal Trackers Wildlife - critter catcher company prejudice against East Garfield Park. Set up with these guys to come take a look at the squirrel issue i am having, they were supposed to call me between 9 am - 10 am and tell me when they would be at the house. They were aware of the address. Called me at 9:53 am to tell me they would not come to my neighborhood, East Garfield Park. They had been burned before, traps had been stolen and they feared for the safety of their employees. Well don't say you service Chicago and then don't service Chicago, don't tell me you don't go east of Cicero if I were on Michigan Ave you would have come out. I have lived in the neighborhood for 5 years, I have owned in the neighborhood for 3 years. I love the neighborhood, love my neighbors and have never had any problems. We have workers come to the house all them time, they never have any problems. What is really going on with these guys, HMMMM. Squirrels happen all over the city, if I were you I would call someone else, after all they may not like the color of your house and decide not to work with you. they mad me so mad I had to join Yelp and actually post. read more
