I passed the Streat Food Park on my way home from San Francisco last week and just had to explore it the next time I was out here. We walked into the park and I quickly spotted two of my favorite things in the world fused together. I just had to try it. I ordered the Bulgogi Burger from Bobcha and I must say that this was one of the juiciest/tastiest burgers I have ever had. Despite what you may think from the name of the burger, there is in fact no Bulgogi steak in this dish. The hamburger patty is actually marinated in a Bulgogi sauce and you can tell with every bite. The toppings include shredded lettuce and finely grated cheese. For an extra charge you can add an egg. For 8.50 this is an amazing burger. My only complaint was that a side of fries is not included. Other than that, this is a must try the next time you see Bobcha around SF. read more

This truck came to my apartment building today, as during the SIP with Covid-19, we have food trucks here Five days a week and today was Korean Bobcha's turn. I ordered the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) that came with a nice bed of rice and a small salad. The chicken was tasty and sauce was outstanding. I also ordered a side of Bulgogi Tots that were very good. All in all, I was full after three wings and a little bit of the tots. I will have them for leftovers tonight. W.O.W is all I can say about Bobcha! I saw them at Off The Grid: Fort Mason amongst the other food trucks & tents around, but this one caught my eye. Mexican w/ Korean fusion - I had to try them out. I ordered their Kimchi Fries which was a popular thing on their menu. It came out fairly quick considering how busy they were at OTG, & after receiving my load of Kimchi fries & taking my first bite into it, I literally rolled my eyes in amazement! Fries were crispy&hot, cheese was gooey, kimchi added a nice crunch, bulgogi was tender & flavorful,& the magic sauce had a nice spicy kick to it. I ate the whole thing w/ a happy smile on my face. Today was the first time I saw Bobcha at OTG Fort Mason so I decided to give it a try. There was not much of a line when I got there around 6:30 so that was nice. I ordered the Bob cup/bowl and picked beef bulgogi and pork katsu and my choice of meats. I upgraded my rice to the spicy bacon fried rice as well. All the meats were on the fatter side with a lot of visible fat. Some people like that, but I was not a fan. Despite that, the flavoring of the food was good and I had a pleasant experience. The price came out to about $10. I thought it was probably not worth that much. Maybe $8-9 would be more fair. I don't know if I would want to come back, especially with so many tasty options at OTG. read more

WOW! I can confidently say that this is the best food I have ever had from a food truck. I tried Bobcha at Off the Grid when I was at Devil's Canyon on a Friday night. It was an easy choice, as others in our party were raving about it, and it had by far the longest line out of any of the food trucks. I LOVED the Bobcha tots, which are tator tots topped with bulgogi, kimchi, cheese, and sauce. Talk about a party in your mouth! The bulgogi burrito was also amazing, and tasted great with the magic and hot sauces (both delicious!). Despite the long line, service was really quick and we got our food in no time. Bobcha definitely does Korean fusion right...I will absolutely be back for more! read more

When you are about to chew your arm off, you simply do not have the mental capacity to carefully weigh your options while standing in front of a dozen food trucks. You just don't. Korean seemed a safe enough choice, so I made a snap decision. Dire hunger trumped my burgeoning Yelp snobbery (a.k.a. always consult Yelp before ordering). Bobcha serves up Korean fusion fare in the form of burritos, burgers, tacos and rice bowls. I had the spicy pork bobcha tacos which came with spicy fried rice and shredded lettuce on a flour tortilla. The pork was tender and seasoned well, although maybe a tad too sweet for my liking. It certainly looked festive. The rice and spicy sauce blazed orange, the lettuce lent its happy green, and I had myself a Korean fiesta with every bite. Not too shabby for an impulse choice. HEADLINE: The Korean Senor Sisig. (I feel a lot of eyebrows raising about the statement above - There's a pig with a knife, staring me down.) I'm a big fan of the food truck experience. I kind of stumbled across Bobcha by accident one day as I was heading to do an errand. As I came across UN Plaza Off the Grid, I decided to do a bit of looking. The line for Bobcha was short. As it happened, I had tried Korean tacos recently for the first time at SAM's on Market. Love the flavor. Love Bulgogi. Love whatever the crazy Korean Hot Sauce is. (We'll come back to that.) So, why not get some more K-Tacos. I gave it a whirl, and it was one of those Magic moments where you take a bite of food and just say, "****. That was good." They offer three choices of meat: Ground Angus Bulgogi Beef, Pork and Chicken. The tacos are corn, with a little rice, meat, cabbage, onion and a spicy sauce. The order comes with two for $6.50, and you can add a third for $2 more (Do it). If you have three, it's filling. Now, the flavors are good - particularly the meat. But, here is the kicker: Magic Sauce. It's Magic. I'm not sure exactly what is in it - it's spicy and sweet. I surmise that it is a combination of Sirancha and Hoisan Sauce. But, it is a flavor explosion. The Magic Sauce is the bomb. I've also tried the Bulgogi burger, which is a Bulgogi-marinated Patty with cheese, lettuce, onion and Magic Sauce. I added the egg. Very good, and for as much as it was dripping with flavor, it was surprisingly manageable in a food truck setting. (Note to Food Trucks: Whatever kind of sandwich you serve, put it on bread/bun that is big enough to eat without the filling falling out and making a mess.) There are some other good things on the menu. I hate to go back to work in the afternoon with an impending food-coma, but they also have delicious looking Bobcha Burritos - and I really want to try one with Kimchi and an Egg added. Gotta head over to the weekend setup at SOMA Stre-eat Food Park. My one admonition: Repeat factor. Had Bobcha for the third time today. It was still very good, but some of the luster came off knowing just how tasty it was going to be. I'll also add that I can see how people could find the Magic Sauce a bit cloying, if the sweet/spicy thing isn't their thing. That said, I think Bobcha delivers good food, reasonable prices for what you get, and I really think the service and staff are terrific. Super nice. Living in SF, I've had occasion to try a lot of good food - and a lot of good Asian food, in particular. I won't lie, I'm not an expert. 5-Stars may be pushing it a little based on the lack of range I've had with Korean food. That said, Bobcha gets to keep 5-Stars from me until I find the next level. wow wow wow! so, along with my travels, of course i have to find some hot spots to dine and enjoy this time however during our visit to San Francisco, my parents chose this truck while I was at Walker Stalker Con. In the convention area in Fort Mason, about 6-7 trucks were lined up, and this one stood out to my parents and damn was it a good choice! coming from Los Angeles, Kogi is our choice for mexi-asian fusion and one of, if not the best food truck in LA now in SanFran, Bobcha is the next closest thing!! (fair warning/legal disclamatory: this is not better or equal to Kogi, but it is still absolutely delicious, just under Kogi!) my parents ordered three dishes: Bob Burrito with bulgogi beef, bacon spicy fried rice, lettuce, and kimchi. we actually did nt have chance to eat it fresh, BUT a few hours later in the hotel and damn was it amazing still! who knows how good it would be fresh! tender flavorful meat, delicious rice, (fyi, I usually HATE rice in my burritos) and crunchy lettuce and kimch; not too much tortilla and stuffed with everything! kimchi fries: bulgogi beef, kimchi, lettuce, cheese, magic sauce. the french fries were ALL so crispy and perfectly golden fried! even under the meat cheese and sauce, it was still perfectly crisp! the beef was tender, juicy, and delicious, flavorful and spicy too; kimchi was crunchy and nicely spiced, and the magic sauce was not too spicy, hint of sirarcha, and perfect! cup bob: lastly, this cup (more like a bowl) was bulgogi meat, chicken, rice, and lettuce with magic sauce both meats, chicken and beef, were juicy tender delicious, as all the dishes were, rice was flavored nicely with bacon, sauce was great and very filling all these dishes were phenomenal and for about $30? not bad for a food trucks nowadays considering the size of each portion! highly recommend to tourists and locals read more

They've been coming to our Off the Grid a lot lately and today, I had the Bob Cup with beef and pork and the bacon fried rice. It was huge for $9.75. It fed me for two meals. The food was amazing. I was expecting it to be overly sweet (like the burritos can sometimes be), but it was perfect. Huge chunks of fatty pork and huge servings of ground beef. I couldn't taste the bacon in the fried rice, so maybe they can work on that, but the kimchi sauce made it taste great either way. Def my favorite truck of the OTG days now. read more

This was the first Korean burrito I have ever had. It was really yummy and the side sauce they offer is delicious. I had the Spicy Chicken burrito and added on an egg. Definitely a filling meal and totally worth the price in my opinion. I would go back for another! read more

I am writing this as I finish my left over bob-cup. I got steak and chicken, added an egg on top for extra fun, and it comes with lettuce, rice, and their special sauce. I came to the Off the Grid event at the Minna tunnel with a friend on Wednesday and decided Korean was the best option of the day. It was deeeelish. The meat is tender, flavorful, and not fatty. The rice has a nice flavor with the sauce. The line wasn't awful and it wasn't a crazy long wait once I ordered. I've been wanting to try this truck every time I go to one of these events and was very happy I did! Will def go back for 2nds. read more

I don't know what took me so long to come experience the SoMa food truck park. II've been looking forward to it and finally made it here since we had some out of towners who wanted to give it a try. We decided to go to Bobcha, since it was the one with the longest line. Plus Korean + Tacos = awesome no?? I originally put this review at a 4 star right after we had the meal. But I'm not revising it since my husband who also ate here starting getting the runs a few hours after we ate here. I saw another review with similar comments. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it's just food sensitivity. This is what we ended up having... in which I took a solid bite out of my husbands burger to make sure you're not getting a 2nd hand review. Bugolgi beef burger with a fried egg - So juicy and delicoious. But it's a big small for the price they charge ($8.75 for what looks like a slider). Bugolgi Nachos Special - kimchi, bugolgi, special sauce and nachos.. What's not to love?? I rest my case. I would go back again, but there's a lot more other food trucks in the area to try, so I will start with a 3 and work my way through. read more

This review is for the truck at OTG. Today is day one for the 2020 season and I was so excited to get my hands on my favorite korean tofu burrito. Ordered it. Took a fat bite and it was beef. That wasn't the biggest problem. I walked back over to let them know and the ladies in the back cooking just gave me the dirtiest look. Once the guy at the register took it back and said for me to wait a few minutes, they all started laughing. Never will order from them again...and I used to LOVE them. This seems to be a trend in many cities across America, but I'm a fan of the Korean-Mexican mix food truck. I sampled both the kimchi fries (good, but I've had slightly better in Austin), and the burrito (ditto). The flavors and portions are good, but I would have to slightly downgrade them since I've had slight better, but identical food in other cities. However, its very reasonably priced, and offers exciting flavors to those who haven't been introduced to this type of food. read more

Eh Not bad, but not great. Bulgogi was disappointing because it was just ground beef. Not what I was expecting. Tasted fine, but who really wants ground beef instead of real beef. Nachos were a little weird. Maybe its my fault for getting nachos, but iceberg lettuce? Why lettuce? I know nachos are just stuff on top of tortilla chips, but this just seemed flavors were too mashed up with no cohesion. And the chips were just seemed like they were tostitos rounds. One of the better food trucks out there. I work out in the SOMA, so I usually catch it when it's in the area (either at the G Food Lounge or the Townsend and 5th OTG). As far as Korean flavors and taste, this stays true to the roots even though it's most popular items are fusion (i.e. the Kim Chee Fries, The Burrito, and Nachos). The meat is seasoned well, very flavorful, and not dry (so far I've tried the Spicy Chicken and the Bulgogi Beef). It's probably better than some of the brick and mortar Korean spots I've been to. They have a special sauce (a mayo based spicy sauce) and a gochujang sauce to top most of their food items. For the price (especially for a food truck), I would say that the portions are also fairly generous. Depending on how busy it is, it can be a bit of a wait (I've waited as little as 4 minutes but as much as 15 for my order). But no matter what, I'd still say it's worth it. My only complaint (and it's really a nit) is that the Kim Chee fries should really have more Kim Chee in it. Not that I'm complaining since there's plenty of other toppings, but a little bit more would be nice. If you're into Korean food and into the food truck scene, this place is definitely worth a try. read more

I checked out Bobcha at Off the Grid in Fort Mason because I was curious to taste their Kimchee Fries. Hesitant at first at how expensive the fries are- they're about $10 each- I still waited in line with my friend to get them anyway. Unfortunately, the line was hella long and it took us about 30 minutes before we could reach the front. After about 5 minutes of waiting, we were handed our glorious kimchee fries. I was actually surprised at how much they gave us! For 10$, you do get your money's worth from the large portion size. Unfortunately though, the kimchee just didn't mix well with the fries. All the sauces together gave this interesting sweet flavor to the fries that just didn't taste like a natural kimchee sauce. It wasn't spicy nor was it flavorful. However, I did like the meat alongside the crispy fries but I probably wouldn't waste my time waiting in line for Bobcha. Just a sidenote, I like how they tried adding "Bob" to all their dishes, but they could totally be more creative (like Bobrito), but who am I to judge? Eat well and prosper, read more

Bobcha is a pretty common vendor in the SOMA Street Eats food truck park and I've seen their truck a few other places. Probably my favorite dish here is the Kimchi Fries. These are french fries covered with you choice of their meats, spicy sauce, cheese, and Kimchi (of course). I've tried it with a few different meats and everything has been good. Most people probably default for Bulgogi which is good, but all have been good. Next time I think I'm going to try the spicy pork. The quality is as good or better than a lot of food trucks and the prices are reasonable (again for food trucks). Some food trucks can be pretty mediocre and expensive, but I think Bobcha is better than average. The prices have gone up a little since the first time I went, but again I'd say they're on par with other food trucks. My favorite Kimchi Fries used to be $9 and they recently went to $10. I can't swear to it, but I thought the first time I went they were like $7 or $8. If you see them give them a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

Favorite truck at Soma Streat Food Park because of its amazing flavors and how filling this is. My favorites are the burrito and the cup bob, both of which can easily feed 2. Truck personnel are also friendly, and the food comes out pretty fast. FYI the bulgogi beef is ground but is actually really good on its own merits, so after getting over the initial disappointment from it being not what you expected, you can fully enjoy your meal. read more

Ordered the Kimchi Fries and the Bobcha soft tacos. Bobcha Tacos were yummy... But The Kimchi Fries... OMG!!! The Kimchi Fries were delicious... I have never had them before so I have nothing to compare them to but let me tell you that I have been craving them ever since... So good and such a huge portion... Enough for 2-3 people... I'm always open to trying new trucks and Bobcha seemed like a good bet at last night's OTG: North Beach. The Korean-inspired truck infuses their signature recipes to create such items as their bulgogi burger, as well as their own versions of burritos, tacos, and nachos. For most of their items, you pick your protein from a list including bulgogi beef, bulgogi chicken, spicy chicken and spicy pork. Bulgogi is a Korean sauce that tends to be on the sweet side. I know there's no such thing as eating healthy at OTG. Nevertheless I felt getting a Bobcha bowl might be a better choice than a sandwich from Five Ten Burger. The Cup Bob allows you to pick two proteins, which are then served with steamed rice and lettuce with their magic sauce. I chose the bulgogi beef and spicy chicken and paid the $1 surcharge for brown rice for a total of $8.75. Drinks were $1.50. A few minutes later, I got my box of food, which did look appetizing especially with their magic sauce. I was incredibly disappointed when I realized that half the box was filed with ground beef and not BBQ beef. The chicken was delicious. The beef I was not a fan of and ended up dumping out. I'm simply not a fan of ground beef. Once you get through your protein, you're rewarded with the steamed rice (brown rice in my case) and the lettuce. It wasn't the best experience nor was it terrible. It's in the middle. I quickly ate through the delicious spicy chicken and brown rice, but the lettuce didn't add much to the overall box and felt like filler just to add volume. And for $8.75 I was left hungry and was back in line, but this time at Five Ten Burger. read more

My FLAVORITE food truck! My husband just shook his head when I said it, but I don't care haha. I used to do the cup bob, beef, egg, white rice. Simple. Delicious. (I get mine without lettuce cause apparently I still eat like I'm 10.) It was so perfect for me, sweet, a dash of spicy, yum. It was perfect. One day I decided to try outside the box and into a burrito. Same stuff as the box but with Spicy Fried Rice and wrapped in a tortilla. I didn't know it could get better, but it did and now I'm addicted. There is just so much delicious flavor and it's easier to eat! No forks required. I mean yeah they are not cheap, typically food trucks are not cheap, but bobcha never makes me regret my decision. I don't even live in the city, but I've been making more trips there lately. I had initially found them at the treasure island flea, and even though I was tempted to try them, skipped them, probably a couple of times. Eventually I thought, I'll just try them. All the meats here are quality and very well cooked. The sauces they come with are flavorful and well balanced. I especially like their hot sauce which has good kick and texture, a little grainy and heavy enough to coat but light enough to pour, and it has a hint of fermentation which I prefer over other which are usually in it. The meats come dressed any way you like it, bibimbap, burrito, taco, pretty much whatever you'd want. I prefer the cup bob without rice, plain and simple delicious meat on top a bed of lettuce. read more

This is my go to truck at Civic Center Off the Grid. I have tried just about everything on the menu. My favorite meal is the Cup Bob, double up the bulgogi beef. Add the kimchee. Fantastic!
