Couldn't even eat half of my meal
    Yolanda G.

I got the two meal combo with sinigang and dinuguan and I have to say it was so salty for my palate. I needed some sustenance for my drive home to EG and I was pretty disappointed

This spot is great for trying lots of Filipino dishes. I came in for a small 8 oz al a carte pork Kare Kare which came out to $6.25. It paired well with rice when I reheated it at home. They had ran out of precooked lumpia when I ordered and made me a fresh batch! It was $6 for 10 pieces. I should have gotten more because my family ate them super fast. You can also get silogs here. There is seating inside but it's nothing glamorous. All that energy is poured into good food

Combo bbq chicken and Chicken Adobo Plate

Good value for combo. Flavorful meat -- ordered the bbq chicken which had great grill sear and sweet sauce and the adobo chicken which had a nice tang to it and was packed with flavor. The rice was perfectly cooked. Also ordered some Shanghai lumpia, and they were super crispy and flavorful. Great deal for 5. Service was quick, as it is cafeteria style.

Hell yah! I love this spot and always get my combo! Garlic rice, chicken afritada, and Pinakbet. I enjoy the mix of it all and soaking the liquidy dishes with the rice! When I stay in and have my breakfast I sit and enjoy people watching or tune in the tv for the Philippine news. I usually devour it all with also some coconut juice. I also have ordered 25-50 pieces of lumpia to go for parties! Always come in great time hot and fresh for my mini fiestas! Great spot in the neighborhood and near the Bart and many buses! Thanks for the stellar service!

Hours on their "updated" website is wrong.

First of all LOVE the food here...BUT...what are the actual operating hours?!? The "current" and "updated" website says open Fridays and Saturdays 7:30am-Midnight but tried coming here twice on a Saturday night between 6pm and 7pm and they are closed. Called to confirm what time they close today (Saturday) and the person who answered said 6:00pm...when I referred to their website saying otherwise all I got was sorry. No explanation if it was just tonight (Thanksgiving weeekend hours, Holiday hours) or if the website was just wrong, or if it was going to be corrected. Please do not indicate on your website that you're open when you're not because for some of us who live 30 miles or more away who take the time and effort to drive here and want to buy food because this place does have good food, end up making a trip for nothing , and are left dissapointed and hungry.

Great food, great service, & great people!! Their food was both delicious and fresh. Really tastes like home. Their indoor seating was really clean and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!

Can't believe I haven't updated my review in 6 years lol Lost a star because they don't sell the chicken on skewers anymore! And it's more expensive! Guy at the front said since Covid.. guess it's really been a while. The alternative options are buying pieces of chicken in a small, medium, or large container with the large being $20 for what he said was 4 or 5 skewers. Large is probably the size of a tall soup container you'd get your pho takeout in. I took his word for it and bought two large containers because I know 10 skewers would feed a small party (it was a potluck). It was not 4-5 skewers worth of chicken lol. It was more like 3. If I remember correctly, each skewer would have at least 4 pieces on it. Not a huge deal in this scenario cuz my party had a lot of food to choose from but just a heads up. If the skewers were like $3.50 each, that'd be half the price of what I paid for one large container. I'll be back for the regular food but probably won't be coming here for the bbq chicken since it's cheaper at FilAm and they still come on skewers.

Ordered catering for my son's graduation party. We ordered lumpia, bistek, pork sisig, pancit, crackling chicken wings, and chop suey. They delivered the food and supplied the trays and the sterno. They also helped setup all the trays included in the catering price. The food was delicious. They make probably the best lumpias in town. Very crunchy and meaty. Everything else were also great! Highly recommend.

A casual joint on the corner of San Jose Ave and Geneva Ave, right next to the Balboa Park BART station, this late-night Filipino restaurant is the perfect place to stop by if you're hungry for good food. Closing at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant's interior has a cozy seating area with Filipino music/TV shows playing on the TV. I do want to add that the parking right in front of the restaurant is such a huge plus since it takes away the inconvenience and potential danger of finding parking in SF! The best option is to get the 2 entrees with 2 scoops of rice, so I got the dinuguan and sinigang as the entrees. The dinuguan and sinigang were both very sweet, sour, and savory. Would highly recommend everyone to grab a bite!

No frills Filipino food spot. The halo halo was a delicious treat. The portions are fat and they're not bad in price. If you're not a fan of pork,8 don't recommend it but they do serve burgers as well.

et me just save everyone some time. And let you know not to come here because they have some audacity to charge an extra $2.50 "beefs stew"as a premium item. No labels or letting me know ahead of time if thats ok. I was in shock because the labeling hidden in the menu is so small and so obscure that even the girl working there had a hard time finding it when she was trying to point it out to me. Okay, maybe it's actually some really good beef for a "premium" item. By the way, they only give you four pieces and they actually count how many they give you. Four pieces exactly and even a small one counts. Drumroll... it's dry and chewy lacks last flavor. The potatoe was undercooked. I don't even know how that's possible. The pancit was also lacking flavor. The noodles were mushy, and had no chew to it. This will be my first and last time eating here. Best thing was the plain rice

Turo Cafe and Grill is one of the few places in the Bay Area to get good quality, Filipino food. Turo serves the same dishes that I grew up with at home. In the past, I've ordered popular dishes, including: pancit (noodles), silog (breakfast combos w/egg), pork sinigang (tamarind soup), BBQ skewers, and of course, LUMPIA. It's rare to order lumpia shanghai (finger food pork egg rolls) at such a girthy size. And there's is kinda girthy for a shanghai. Believe me, I've had shanghai in other places which were either "too skinny" and/or "too short". There's one place I know of that tends to roll their shanghai in extra wrappers to almost deceive customers that it's actually filled with enough meat! LOL. In any case, Turo's Shanghai is "fat, tasteful and meaty" for the discerning lumpia lover in you! Turo Cafe deserves 4.5 stars!!! @feastyle approved! The Turo Cafe storefront makes the store look as if it's heavily busy because of outside traffic, but I've developed a "system" on how to work with here. LOL Otherwise, everything has been great since the food is so tasteful they bring back memories of the quality Pinoy dishes I know and love.

IG: cv.foodies A filipino fast food place! The other place we wanted to try was closed that day and we were able to find Turo's close by! I was really craving Filipino breakfast and I'm glad we went here :) The server was really nice and they gave me banana ketchup even got to order in Tagalog a little bit :p Longsilog: * The longanisa was cooked really well and one of my favorite ways to cook longanisa. Rice was a bit dry but eggs and fruits were a good addition^^ 2 Entrees w/ Garlic rice: * We got tortang talong and chicken adobo and it was so good! The portions were great and the server asked if we wanted soup on our rice too (ofc, we said yes) Turon: * some of the best I've had! Not too sweet and had a good crisp to it

The first time we tried the Sarap Manila and Aji Inferno burgers. This time we tried the Wasa-bish and Tro Oi burgers. And gawd damn. They haven't missed once. In my opinion. Let's start with the place. It's located inside Rocks Den, a pretty chill bar on Mission. The times that my partner and I went, there wasn't too much people. The bartenders were nice and their drinks were pretty good. They have another room with a pool table and foosball. The place can definitely hold a lot of people and there is ample places to sit and eat. Flats burger is basically in the back; it's a window to their kitchen. You order your food and while you're waiting you get yourself a couple of drinks before your buzzer goes off. And then next thing you know, you got a hot juicy burger with fries to eat. Now the foooooood: The wasa-bish burger is refreshing. The wasabi sauce isn't too strong but it's enough to knock your sinuses clear. The Tro Oi burger was really good. It was like a bahn mi as a burger with the Nem Nuong patty and pickled veggies. The vinegar was a nice touch to the savoriness. The Aji inferno burger was good because of the sauce. The man at the register said it was spicy but I don't think it was at all. I could've gotten a side of that sauce to dip the fries in. The Sara Manila burger was also bomb. You gotta get it with the egg; which is unfortunately an extra topping that you have to pay for. It's smart on the resturaunt's part for doing that. My partner didn't really like this burger as much. I think it was because she tried my burger and liked it more than hers; she was turned off. I think if you're feeling for Longanisa, definitely get that. Flats also has lumpia and wings which we haven't got to try yet. I think I'm gonna come back to review all of their food. I recommend this spot to people who are coming off of work and need a spot for a great meal and drinks.

This burger was incredibly filling, and at about $12 per burger, it's one of the best deals in the Bay. We added some Cajun fries and got two sides of their interesting fusion sauces to try -- the wasabi aioli and banana ketchup aioli. Both had distinct Asian inspiration, as did their entire menu (lumpia, Vietnamese pork burgers, kimchi burgers, you name it) and that really made the place stand out. The service was quick and friendly, and we ordered at the counter near the back of a bar. The joint had an admittedly hole-in-the-wall feel; it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed the grungy neighborhood feel to the place.

Your delivery driver left this at my front door, very nice. I don't really care about intent, the cup looks split perfectly so its probably a manufacture defect that finally gave way under pressure. Its not like she poured it out, but seeing her rush hurriedly down the hall while ignoring me isn't a good look and she could have helped me get this refunded but now I'm left navigating a dodgy Toast website that says you have to contact the restaurant for a refund and a restaurant that won't pick up the phone, and my building's front desk that never seems to be manned when you need it.
