I am a woman purchasing a truck from out of state and he did the inspection for me, complete with pictures texted and a call to explain his results. He then gave me an estimate right then for the repairs he said I would need "soon". Not right then, soon. I trusted him and what he was saying and had him do the repairs right then. My truck was ready the next day and he even coordinated with the dealer to make sure I knew where it would be to have it shipped. His honesty and knowledge made me confident enough to give him my business fixing what would have been needed anyway, there was no reason not to do it now with a mechanic I trust. I brought it to their attention, at the Sorrento Rd location as well as the Elberta location, and they did nothing to correct the problem. Outstanding service! The crew at Bobe's went above and beyond to find and fix an issue with my Ford that two other shops would not bother with. They spent hours researching and talking to other mechanics online to find out there is a serious issue with the 2021+ F150s that isn't recognized by Ford yet. After confirming the issue, documenting the cause and effect they were able to replace a simple piece saving a lot more money that would have caused a major repair if driven longer. Brought my car in for an AC diagnosis/repair and was called a bit later in the day with "your car is ready." No other information, no estimate given. When I show up they tell me "there's a leak" with no information as to where the leak is or how severe it is. I'm told that it would probably last me the summer but it's difficult to know for sure. When I get in my car the A/C is still blowing hot. So I take it back in and they run some more tests (presumably the same test they ran before? It was never explained to me why they didn't catch it the first time) to tell me the leak must've been worse than they thought. But luckily after they look at it again it's determined to be a fairly cheap replacement for a valve stem. Great, I seemingly avoided an expensive issue. They tell me to come in the following day for the replacement. After I do that the next day, and after I've already paid them, they tell me it's actually the condenser, which is a much more expensive repair, and even though they refilled the Freon it likely won't last long. Well, it didn't even last the day. And when I asked if they would consider taking off the $300 I spent on the first two misdiagnosed jobs from the final bill for the condenser, or at least giving some kind of discount, I was told (in slightly more polite terms) to pound sand. It's possible they did their due diligence, but it was never explained to me in a way that made sense and his dismissive and unprofessional response to me confirmed for me I was being dealt with dishonestly. Something I hate to see from a local business, which I always try to support. Recommend avoiding for complex work. read more

I left my car at my parents house in Pensacola while I moved out west. I wasn't able to come back for it until a few years later, and of course it would not start. It was a early Friday, 10 am but I gave these guys a call. They recommended a wrecker for me which responded immediately so I got there early enough for them to work me in. Ended uo being my fuel pump and bad gas from sitting a long time. They finished my truck by 3 pm. These guys rule. Very nice people. Sorry about smelling up the shop with my bad fuel. read more

Front end was shaking. Mechanic took a test drive within the first 10 minutes of me being there. I was up on the rack 10 minutes later and 45 minutes later had 2 turned rotors two new brake pads with oil change and tire rotation. Just over 200 bucks. No more shaking! Don't think you will find a better place to have your car fixed. I have met nicer folks, but I don't remember where. read more

my father had his brakes replaced a year ago. Based on their recommendation her replaced four rotors and pads. After less than 10,000 miles the front pads were "gone" and it got into one rotor. He took it to them with his receipt and they said they would "look at it" - well they did and replaced the front rotors and pads in about 3 hours and CHARGED HIM NOTHING - Nice to see people standing behind their work - i will use them from now on read more

I am writing this to thank Bobe's for helping me test my alternator after having a bad battery replaced. I had stopped at a local parts store to have them test the alternator and their hardware failed to give me a conclusive answer. I stopped at Bobe's and they hooked up an analog volt meter which is easy to read and gave me a conclusive answer. Thank goodness there are still friendly helpful people in this world. read more

I went here on friday,6/1 after reading reviews here & on Nextdoor,my car was spitting water out of the radiator.Got there @ 8am met Steve who's a pleasant guy,and he quickly figured out it needed a radiator.Left it there & I got a call saying it was done around 1pm! We were worried it would have to sit over the weekend,since they're closed sat-sunday.The price was fair I think,unlike some other places where I just couldn't figure out why it was SO expensive.I am a AAA member for many years,I like them,but not some of their "recommended" auto repair places, which seem crazy expensive,Anyway,these guys are great,I'm going here from now on,hopefully not to often though! read more

Took my car in for a simple oil change. He told me I needed a new "Timing Belt Tensioner" which he could install for $600. I approved, and he did the job, but charged me $773, 28% above estimate. As I was leaving his place of business, I noticed my power steering pump growling like a pi$$ed off tomcat. I immediately returned and the owner said they never touched my PS pump. The mechanic, however said he did have to move the pump. He said he would install a new one if I bought it. I'm afraid to let them near my car again, and went to a dealer. Professional mechanics warn me against returning to a service with whom I've had words. Two friends told me about their horror stories from the same place. I've notified the Better Business Bureau, but he is not a member. read more
