Daily Special; Sunday during Hawks game; Chicken fried steak, corn, mashed potatoes.

The Prime rib dips' meat was sliced so thin I don't believe it was prime rib. It was also overcooked and dry. The Au jus could've been a lot more flavorful. The fries were perfection though, the meals saving grace so to speak. Good portion. The chicken fried steak was good although more of a small breakfast size than dinner portion, the sausage gravy lacked sausage and didn't seem to be made from scratch, the corn was mushy and probably just fresh from the freezer. The server was wonderful, booth was clean. We were there to watch the game and celebrate an anniversary so the food probably felt a bit more disappointing than it was. Oh, and we got the calamari appetizer and it was good overcooked and rubbery and not good although the sauce that it came with was good. I'd give them another shot to try their burgers which is what they're known for, before totally writing them off though.

Tried their Sunday brunch buffet for the first time. Did not disappoint! All you can eat fresh omelette, eggs Benedict, waffles and so much more for only $14! The service was great as usual.

First stop after crossing back in the USA....good choice. Food was great, service was good, atmosphere was excellent and the prices were low. I'd eat here again if we ever pass through Sumas in the future.

Large portions of burnt onion rings

Big portions is the only thing this restaurant has going for it...even then, they are overpriced by about $3 per plate. Atmosphere: Back in the 1920's and 30's the theme and adjacent lodge would've been great for its day but, today is just sub par. Places like Woods Coffee now have the same theme but a modern flare to it. Take a page from their book Bob's! Wait staff: the staff that waited on us were attentiveness, flawless about our order, and nice. All I saw were women on staff made up of 20 year olds and 30 year olds. I did see one man stuck in the kitchen, probably the dish washer. I guess the sociably accepted prejudices prevail with the owner/ manager of this place when it comes to hiring for wait staff. Food: large portions of unseasoned over cooked edibles. That's the best I can describe it. As you can see from the pictures my BLT was big enough to share with my daughter or wife but dry. Please put more mayo on it! Also my onions were over fried till burnt. Maybe the cook should take a class on how to deep fry food properly! Cleanliness: unlike other reviews I've read about this place I found it to be pleasant. I couldn't find much of any dirt or dust. Good job!

Won't be returning. Food was just okay. Lacks in customer service. Wine is the worst on the planet!

Way to expensive! Sodas and drinks are too. Food is good but then again sometimes so is taco bell.

Right across the border, it's a great place for food. The looks great too. Not much more I can say. If you go to the U.S. Try them out.

It was a bit strange. The rest of the ingredients tasted nice and fresh. We tried the homemade soup, tomato basil. It tastes too much like pizza sauce ‍. Our pizza was just OK, which I usually love. We ordered a large half and half and I realized we pay the price of the more expensive pizza but it was over $40. Im not sure why. It was a bit of price shock (still getting over it). The large monster is $38 something so Im having a hard time getting to $40.76 (we had 1/2 monster, 1/2 bbq chicken). I love the crust but didn't like the Monster and and bbq had too little chicken on it. We had peanut butter pie just for a new dessert to try and it was not at all what I expected. Its a very thick peanut butter filling... it needed something to tone it down. We ordered whip on top (should have came on it imho) and we still needed something to take away a bit of the richness so ordered a scoop of ice cream. Needless to say it became a very expensive piece of pie. The waitress was kind and we really do like the charm of this county place but our food and the price will be haunting us for awhile.

Judging from the fact my og review of Overflow's Lynden location is almost 10 years old (!), I'd say it's more than time for a refresh. A lot has changed since my 2016 declaration that "beer and Lynden" are not often two words you associate with each other. Lynden now has a few hoppy outposts, including a second Overflow location on the west side. Guess I'll add that one to my list, too! This particular Sunday, we were looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a quiet beer and play a game of cribbage. I was excited to see Overflow was open (back in "the day" most Lynden businesses were closed on Sundays). We grabbed a couple of pints (just $5 ea!) and sat down for our game. The service was friendly, the place was uncrowded, and it was hard not to order a second pint before the long drive home to the Ham. Overflow, congrats on 10 years in Lynden! It's great to see you're still thriving, still serving up some great beer choices, and still supporting clean water initiatives. Cheers!

Delicious pie? Yes! Tasty cocktails? Yes!…read moreFriendly service? Yes! Cute, waterfront, dive bar vibe? Yes, yes, yes! We checked out this pie-themed bar on a recent trip to La Conner, and it did not disappoint. We were craving a sweet treat after a delish dinner nearby, and this was one of the only spots open after 8pm. (If you know La Conner, you know how thrilled we were to discover this. The town pretty much shuts down at 6pm!) We grabbed a table by the window, ordered a giganto piece of coconut cream pie to share (and an equally generous slice of chocolate bourbon pecan to take back to the RV for breakfast the next day). Both were delish, but if we had to choose again the coconut cream pie was the best of the two. They also offer savory pies here, so let's just say we'll be stopping in again soon! I noticed they have a beautiful outdoor patio as well, so I can easily see myself sitting out there with a slice of chicken pie and a cocktail on a breezy summer afternoon.

It's run by two awesome brothers, Luke and Owen, and the vibes are as good as the food. Luke is super friendly and even remembered us on our second visit! The savory pies are delish (that Shepherd's, Steak,  and Thanksgiving pies are fire!), and the sweet pies are out of this world (the Humble Crumble is a Food Network Award Winner!). However we also loved the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan and Strawberry Rhubarb! Highly, highly recommend hitting this spot up for dinner and dessert. You won't regret it!
