Decided to start on fishing again. Bought myself a new fishing rod but missing a good line. Checked out yelp to look for a tackle shop near by and came acrorss this place. The person who helped me was very friendly and knowledgable. He was able to assist me with the best possible braided line for my new pole. Cost per 100 yard is very reasonable! He hooked me up with 500 yrds of line and even helped remove the previous line and put on the new one. I will definitely come back here for any of my fishing needs. Went to this tackle shop to purchase a good amount of lures and hooks for my fishing trip to find out later that they charged me an additional "open item" on the receipt. Really do love coming here for solely one reason. The convenience w the price they offer is very fair but the main reason it's a must is because the worker Drew. Jason is always there and very helpful with recommendations as well as advice. Jason also saved me some money by repairing my guide on my rod for only 5 bucks which was great. With Drew I'll ask him one question about something and I will get the answer plus 10 more which all have to do with my question. I dropped off a 50+ year old 15' vintage surf rod that had been used and abused over the years to get restored like new. I have to tell you that the finished product when I when to pick it up today (8/9/2017), was absolutely amazing. These guys are friendly, I'll give em that. But man they were disorganized... at least when we went in. All I wanted were new carbontex drags and also metal drag washers for my Penn 113h, which you think would be pretty standard, but it took these guys forever just to pull the parts. What I thought would take 5 minutes turned into a half-hour ordeal. Worst part is, they sold me the wrong combination of metal washers that I can't use at all, even though I said I'll just take the carbontexes and scratch replacing the metal drags - they were insistent on finding the metal drags and selling them to me, even though they weren't the right thickness... As far as return policy, who knows. I don't know the next time it'll be when I'm in the area... and even so, I'm not sure I'd want to go back in. read more

This is exactly why we still need the "mom & pop" shops!! I've been to the big box retailer trying to get help and all you get is over priced, low quality items that are being sold by someone who's never even been near water. The owner here lives, breaths and sleeps fishing. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge. Need a place to cast, he'll tell you the spot. Need the right lure, he'll hook you up.
