My over all experience with this company was extremely poor. Nick is dishonest and unprofessional and employees are not trustworthy in my opinion. The techs came to do the initial inspection and the main guy Nick dropped his impact onto my new flooring like 2-3 times just trying to get measurements. I didn't think much of it, I chose to move forward. When Nick and his helper came Nick told me that's the guy that was helping him had gotten fired previously for stealing from customer. When the job was just about finished they cleaned up with my broom and I saw that same guy walking my broom to his car. The 2 full window replacements came out overall solid but the replacements of 1 glass pane came out extremely bad. They damaged my fresh paint and did not let me know. They left a ton of excesses black sealant around the window. While also damaging the white frame of my window. I told Nick that I wanted it to be communicated that I wanted compensation for the damage to my window frame and paint and he said he would let Paula know. I called the office a few days later and Paula said that this was the first she heard of it. When they came to fix the black sealant they said there was nothing they could do about the frame being damaged. She made it seem like she was taking a full loss on the job and offered me 300$ of a 2500$ job. When they came to fix the black sealant they said there was nothing they could do about the frame being damaged. I had to basically beg for a partial refund. I ended up getting 500$ back but that's what it cost me to replace my window and repair my paint myself. Overall por experience, would not recommend. read more

I had a wood frame window, single pane, to repair and called Bob's glass to get a turnaround time estimate . They told me that there was no one in today that was Thursday but it would be completed on Friday. Friday I call and ask what the status is and they tell me that they can't finish it until Tuesday . They told me that they called me but I had only received a call from an unknown number, not the Bob's glass number and no message was left. They should have known when I did not contact them Friday morning that I did not receive the message. When I told them that it's my bedroom window and that rain was predicted for the weekend, they told me that they were going to have a tech come back and fix it and they would fix it by 4:00 p.m. And I said that has to be positive and not a maybe and they could not guarantee it because staff was still on couple of jobs . So I took my windows back. So it's 12:00 Friday I have to try and find someone to fix the ​ window. I ended up doing it myself. Color me severely disappointed. #FAIL read more

I went with Bob's Glass as they were recommended to me by Capitol Glass and Glassman to the Rescue who couldn't take on the job of replacing broken wooden frames. Bob orders customized wooden frames from Valley Wood Windows. They're one of the few glaziers which replaces both the broken frame and the shattered glass. The contractor showed up in the morning. When the frame was slightly big, he used an angle grinder to grind away the excess wood and now it's a perfect fit. Bobs Glass....Stay away. Bad experience with install and customer service. It started out as a messy install. Glass had sticky goo all over and sloppy lines of sealer. Someone came and attempted to clean up, but there wasn't much they could do to make it look clean. I moved on. Now, a few years later... window seal has failed. Moisture is present inside glass. I called and was told it would be covered. Now....after they realized it was one of my large windows, I keep getting ghosted, and flaked on. They basically sold and moved on to the next. I called Bob's because I went to school with him and my husband called them before for work on my home. I called for new wheels for my slider door. Cost me $500 and the guys that came had to borrow a screw driver from me. In addition they left 2×4 pieces of wood on my deck. They brought to use for hammering a piece of metal over my existing track. Totally unprofessional. read more

We unexpectedly had an accident while my wife was cleaning the glass on the fireplace and the glass broke and shattered all over the Family room floor and e needed a replacement. After a failed attempt to order a glass directly from the fireplace manufacturer I did a Google search and found Bob's Glass which was local and went into place an order for my tempered glass replacement.. The glass I needed was a custom size and had to be custom ordered . When it arrived a few days ahead of promised, the size was about 1/16th" off and won't fit in the fireplace so Bob's reordered without any questions and was able to get me the corrected size to fit my fireplace. I spoke a with this low-class rude person named Michael on the phone. For the third time this low-class inconsiderate boy named Michael hung up the phone. I was attempting to schedule Hospital time with my child and Bob's Glass to come into my home for a simple job that any handyperson could do. Bob's Glass should have had a better person whom makes custom calls with a attitude that understands, and has professionalism called Customer Service. Not to hang up or yell. But no Michael has no connection to being a man or a father. I am a single parent of an ill child with cancer. Hey, thanks for the terrible customer service. Michael gets a negative 3. Now the actual work, that is just as bad as the customers service. Window and screens should not need to be fixed twice within a year. I would not work with this company. While in contract on our house the sellers replaced a few windows with moisture inside with Bobs glass. Upon our final walk through we noticed all the trim on the replaced windows was broken and pieces were left on the ground. As the new owners we contacted Bobs glass to have them come out and fix the trim. In doing so they cracked a window. When they came back to replace it they shattered another. After many calls to the company our windows are finally intact but the trim is still cracked and missing in places. Originally it was blamed on product not being available. We have given up on ever having the trim fixed. The guys coming out to fix the windows were always nice and apologetic for the issues. The women in the office however are terrible with communicating and organizing the work to be done. read more

As a business owner who just got broken into I decided to call Bobs Glass after have using them a couple times in the past. This time when we were broken into I again called them , coming into a holiday weekend apparently they were and are the only ones who could of done this job for me. Upon calling them originally ,I let them know by the time they got here id have all of the broken glass taken care of and I was told that'd be great by Mike on the phone. Being in shock from being robbed and broken into obviously i'm a little on edge. As im pulling the broken shattered pane of glass out of the window, unannounced I guess the owner pulls up front of the store in his personal truck unmarked and goes "what are you doing" I said cleaning or glass so we can accommodate customers and he said "its obviously common sense" to not clean up the broken glass? I said sir I've just been broken into and you haven't even introduced yourself to me yet and if your not going to be respectful then I can find another company. ( I only asked him for a little respect, instead he left) At that point he got back into his truck and left me high and dry a day before the holiday weekend knowing that he is the only glass company in the area capable of doing the job. Thank you to the owner for showing up to my business knowing were already traumatized and being a complete dick to me and my employee for no other reason than to what make a point that you're the only company that can help me. Our small business was vandalized and looted tonight. I called Bob's from a Google search looking for someone who could come in the middle of the night and board up the storefront to secure it for the night and until we can get it repaired. They clearly advertise 24-hour emergency service. Michelle was very sympathetic and put me on hold while she called out to find a technician - returning to let me know that she found someone who could be out in 45 minutes. I was so relieved. I gave her all my contact information and thanked her profusely. About 10-15 minutes later, a total stranger named Alvar calls me out of the blue asking me if I needed someone to repair a window, and where is the location. He didn't identify himself as from Bob's - so I asked - and he said yes, but didn't seem to know what to do - he said he would call around and see if he could find a technician to go out. I explained that Michelle had already told me she found someone - was that you? He said yes, but he couldn't go - he would find someone else. So, 30 minutes later he calls again and says he can't find anyone to help us. So now I've wasted the 45 minutes - and my husband sitting outside the shop locked in his truck waiting for help. Total waste of time, very stressful. I called another company - I promise you - Bob's is not the only game in town. This other company was stellar. They were very busy tonight - lots of looting and vandalizing in downtown Sac - but they came. And they boarded everything up. Thankfully. I will never use Bob's, or recommend them to anyone. Ever. I called Bob's on Monday looking for an emergency window repair. I large window was broken in my family room. i had just gotten out of the hospital last week and my hospital bed was in the family room. I explained my situation with the staff at Bobs and they had someone out Monday taking measurements. On Tuesday morning they were replacing the glass. A job that would've taken me a day or two to do myself, Mike and Tree were able to do in a little over an hour. These guys are good! They were professional, fast, and skillful. And very respectful of my home. I think it's safe to say that this was the easiest repair of the new year. I scheduled the appointment one day with Robert and the next day they're done in an hour. Someone broke into my business yesterday, they shattered our glass front door. I called Bob's glass and spoke to a friendly guy named Kevin who was very helpful and understanding in this difficult time. They were able to get someone out a few hours later. Bob's Glass, recommended by East Sac Hardware, is a winner in my book. I had to replace a badly smashed screen for a rental that dropped out of the window onto a concrete parking lot below. Had I realized it was so carelessly installed I would have secured it but it's a rental and hey, you just have to go with what happens, live and learn. If it were my own place, the whole window would be dual pane and not cheesy sliders, but I digress. So Bob's is on point all the way. They did not shy from the terribly bent frame/screen and as promised, it is ready and looks just great. So great I hate to put it back in but I will have to since I am moving out. I called again and reminded them that getting the window repaired was a priority due to it being a safety issue. They said someone from scheduling would call me. I never heard from them. I dropped off a sliding screen door to have the screen replaced they told me it would be $40. After a month of waiting and multiple calls they finally had it done. Hi arrived to pick it up and they said it will be $117, I could have bought a new one for $100. I questioned the bill and they said they replaced a lower panel for$50. There was nothing replaced and no new parts. I got out of there for $75 but still the worst service I have ever received. I used them years ago and they were great, not any more, stay away. read more

7/6/18 We have used Bob's Glass for 30 years. We recently requested new screens and 2 lead glass replacements. They requested our credit card number "for holding purposes". The customer service has changed. Shocking. The skill set has changed along with sketchy hires! We were told by one of Bob's Glass techs when he was at our home that Bob's Glass hires homeless people! After 6 calls for poor workmanship and follow-up problems, we were told Bob's Glass original owner sold company and new staff are learning. Yikes! Never again. They also ran our credit card for payment prior to job completion, something we did not want. We were told for holding purposes! We also have had our credit card fraudulently compromised which requires issuing us a new card. read more

Bob's Glass is the best, the price is reasonable on commercial glass but my favorite part is their sense of urgency, when you really need it done, they do it right away. They replaced my glass same day even though it was already 3pm when I called. I called another company Monday morning and kept playing phone tag til Wednesday, then by 3pm I got tired of hearing the same "yes we'll be there answer" and called Bob. He got one of his guys out here within one hour and the job was done by 4:45pm. Bob may not be the kind of person for small talk and for that reason he gets the negative reviews because he likes to get straight to the point and he likes you to know exactly what you want/need before you call him. He's down to earth and to the point guy and I like that. You guys are awesome! Just a tip, if you're looking for a very polite with kind words and discounts and jokes thrown in to make your day type of place, don't come here, but if you need glass installed in a timely matter and at a reasonable price, this it THE PLACE. read more

Finally once rained stopped, 2 guys came early and put in our upstairs window in like 10 minutes and didn't even wake up my son. Fast and nice. I needed 3 windows & one patio sliding door, so I went to Bob's glass. They got the measurements and 2 weeks later they came to install. The 2 guys that showed up were doing everything possible to cut corners. I was very dissapointed with there job. Very clumsy!!! They left 3" gaps all around the sliding door and was only held on with the glue and small 6 screws.they said they will bring 3" plastic siding to cover the gaps the following week. But failed to show up for 21 days. I called the manager the next week and complained about it. To my surprise he said those are the best guys he sent me. They send me a gentleman named (Ray) to finish the siding, I expressed my frustration and he understood. He even apologized for the other 2 guys who showed up the first time. Ray came back the next day with the right equipment and wowed me. He brought table say and cut the 2X4 lumber to correct size and filled/sealed in the gaps. I was amazed with his "Craftsmanship,skills, perfection & professionalism" I like how he did everything right in front of my very eyes. I was gonna give 0 stars if I could the way the 2 guys worked. But going to give 5 just because of RAY. He took no break nor did he waste anytime here and there. He takes pride in his work, I liked his work ethics. From now on I will only hire Bob's glass if they send Ray to do the work. read more
