I just wanted to follow up to inform everyone that I was contacted by the restaurant within a day of writing the review. A gentlemen named Chris (general manager) reached out to me via email and offered their sincere apologies for the incident. They apologized for missing the mark on the food order as well as the auto gratuity that was imposed. He proactively reached out to me on multiple occasions via email and by phone in an effort to make it right. He didn't challenge any of my assertions and even thanked me for my "thoughtful review". He told me that as a result they are looking into how they can change and avoid a similar situations in the future. The manager conducted himself in a professional and courteous manner that far exceeded by expectations. Restaurants will of course make mistakes. The way they handled their mistake is worthy of the highest praise in my book and I will certainly give them another chance when we visit the area. read more

It's an unassuming sports bar w better than expected food. Typical sports bar atmosphere and a great staff. We grabbed carryout and everything tasted great. The wings in monkey sauce (buffalo + BBQ) and the steak fajitas were favorites. They forgot a side order of soup, but the servings were def on the larger size, so we had plenty of leftovers of the rest. As for the layout, they made a point to space ppl out (bc coronavirus), all staff wore masks, and they provided multiple large containers of hand sanitizer. Attentive staff. So we always make it up for the Forth of July big fireworks and of course spend the weekend eating out. We have tried Bob's place a couple of time and have always been happy with the service and food. This weekend was no exception, our waiter, Houston, Austin, Dallas or one of those cities was outstanding. I had the lunch Salmon plate and it was outstanding, large portion of salmon and the mixed veggie were cooked to perfection. Of course we had dessert and of course we tried all 3. My only criticism was IF u order the brownie dessert I would suggest you have the heat it up because normally it does not come that way but with vanilla ice cream served with it I like it to melt as I'm eating so I have to keep up. Went for dinner last night, conveniently located a short walk from the Westin where we're staying. Got seated fairly quickly, but sat for a long time with no service. Two parties seated after us had their drinks and apps before we got any service at all. After the server came, she did a good enough job. One of us ordered 9 piece wings but received 15 wings, only ate half. When the bill came we were charged for 15. The server corrected the error on our bill, no problem. We decided to come back for breakfast due to convenient location. Was not crowded at all, server was good and service was much faster than the night before. However he did not write down any of our orders. My husband's meal had the wrong kind of toast and bacon rather than the sausage links he had ordered. My son found a long black hair cooked into his hash browns. The server was apologetic and removed that meal from our bill. Definitely not the server's fault, but the cook needs to wear a hair net! All in all, food was just average, not exceptional, so based on our 2 not so great experiences, only 2 stars. read more

Pretty average. The burger was good and the French fries were hot. Asked if grilled onions could be substituted for sliced red onion. No problem....except the extra charge wasn't disclosed (might have been on the menu but we didn't see it). We wanted tamales but they were out of pork and only had green chili. Opted for chicken tenders with tots instead. Was served tenders with stone cold fries. The tenders were over cooked and really dry. The ranch dipping sauce was tasty. For some inexplicable reason we were served "extra" ranch dipping sauce ...... for an extra charge. Three beers, burger, tenders, for $50. Pretty average experience. ++++++++++++++ So, Bob contacted me with a personal message about our experience. 1) It shows Bob, the owner reads the reviews and he cares. 2) Bob said he would brief his staff about our experience. YES, PLEASE! Went for a Staycation and always look for a great hometown classic breakfast spot. Bob's was exactly the spot. Quiet at 8am in a Saturday and had everything I was hoping for. Bob's Hollandaise is actually HOMEMADE. Not too lemon-y or from a can (like the typical spots). Amazing homemade Hollandaise. Our service was fine/local vibe. I had Bob's two egg special and My friend had a Denver Omelette. We absolutely LOVED Bob's clever menu with the Avon vs Aspen Omelette choices. We'd choose the Avon any day of the week regardless of what we could afford. Sense of humor is great. Love it. I only wish the swag cupboard was open as we wanted Bob's T-shirts. (Let me know if you see this, message so I may make a purchase please). Hidden gem of a place and wish I were a local! Our go-to breakfast spot in Beaver Creek. It's a short walk from a lot of hotels, and close to the highway if you need to leave right after eating. The restaurant is always busy, but they've been able to accommodate our big party every visit. We've sat in the bar area, the main dining room, and the outside patio. No matter where we were, the service was quick and friendly. The food is delicious and fairly priced for the area. The menu is huge so there's something for everyone. I have a weakness for chicken fried steak, and this last time it was cooked perfectly but the gravy was bland. Nothing a little salt and pepper didn't fix. My only regret is digging into the food before snapping a picture of it! read more

The property is covered LED screens. In the mornings as they are preparing for they day the listen on cable to 70's and 80's rock music. Once they are open they traditionally switch to sports news at a volume that offends no one. For reasons that defy inquiry they are now are rock all the time. From opening to 9 despite a clientele over 50. I inquired who was the music for , the two employees or four booths of patrons enjoying there own company and not listening to music and was told "I guess everybody". Bob's is clearly a local's hidden gem. This tacky little place is tucked inside a strange multi-use building and kind of touch to find unless you know what you are looking for but once you do you'll be happy. The breakfast here is great. They serve traditional greasy spoon favorites as well as a variety of southwest specialties. Not to mention they are a full bar! You must check this place out if you're in the BC area for breakfast, I would imagine they put on a pretty good lunch and dinner as well. Or just hit their bar, liquid meals always rock! read more

So, expect your standard sports bar with wall-to-wall TVs and wall-to-wall people. This place was hopping on a Tuesday, with billiards and other games going. Their special beers are reasonably priced, and they offer good choices, especially when price is no object, with lots of local options. Just know that this is pretty much a self-service joint: if you're going to sit at a high-top, you need to order your drinks at the bar and bring them yourself. We happen to stumble into Bob's because we found it on yelp. Great staff and a great venue to enjoy the football game world. It was super busy because of the NFL playoff game. Most places would fail at providing good suck customer service or in big crowd conditions. But the team of employees all work together to make sure that every single patron in that bar had a nice cold beer and a big basket of wings and I applaud the management who prepared and successfully achieved an awesome outcome and personally we had an amazing experience. I've stopped by Bob's a few different times now, and it's always exactly what I need. They know who they are, so don't come in expecting anything too fancy - but it's just darn good bar food. If you're getting an appetizer I recommend the Flying Monkey wings! They are enormous in size and the Flying Monkey sauce is awesome. Their homemade ranch is some of the best in the area, too! I love upgrading my side of fries to either sweet potato fries or the cheesy fries, and you can't go wrong either way. If you visit on a nice night, ask to sit on the patio! It's spacious and clean and great for large groups! Prices here are a little expensive, but that's to be expected in a mountain town. After noticing the poor reviews ahead of time, we still decided to give Bob's Place a try and i'm happy we did. Two words, HAPPY HOUR! And in my opinion the best in town. You can count on there being some sort of special every day of the week which is unheard of. Tuesdays they have $1.50 tacos. Thursdays all 16 beers on draft are $1. I mean come on. It wasn't the easiest to find as its located inside a business building so don't be discouraged if you can't find it immediately. We opted for the bar area as opposed to their dining area (completely separate) and it was the perfect bar atmosphere in town. Equipped with probably over 20 TVs, two pool tables, and a couple foosball tables, this place screams a good time. And don't forget to check in on Yelp for a free draft beer. Their menu is super extensive and a bit overwhelming. This also means you should have no problem finding something appealing for everyone in your party. The bartender finally admits the person who makes salads is gone, didn't know making a salad was so difficult. Asked for a refund and of course her whole demeanor changes! 45 minutes of waiting for a salad and dealing with a bartender with a nasty attitude. Not sure how an establishment knows how to make all this "great food" but can't make a simple Cesar salad or Cobb salad. This review is long overdue. I was driving from Ohio to Vegas, and stopped in Avon. I don't remember the hotel which was a very short walk, but I looked up local places, and this one came up. I called ahead for wings to bring back to my room. The gentleman that I placed my order with was first of all, more than accommodating. I wanted something different than the normal. I ordered Cajun BBQ. The wings came out perfect! Crispy outside and tender inside. It was too bad I couldn't stay. It seemed like a very friendly crowd. Nice pool tables too. I really do like to play, however, I had to get up early and on the road. All in all, Bob's Place seemed like a very nice place, friendly crowd, phenomenal service, and excellent food. read more

While in Colorado a few locals suggested trying this place out for food. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with the staff here and feel the need to share. Placed an carry out order for two salads at 9:31pm, one Caesar salad no chicken and one Brown Derby. Was told it would take only 10 - 15 minutes. Arrived around 9:45 and proceeded to the bar to pick up my order. The bartender was a middle aged lady who was very dismissive during the entire interaction. When I arrived, I paid for the food ($23.32) and she said it was coming right up. Ten minutes later (approx 25 minutes after the order for two SALADS was called in), I went back to the bar to check on the status of the food and she said, "they're still working on it." However, during the entire duration of the wait the staff was huddled and joking among theirselves. I then went back to the bar a 3rd time and was told nobody was on salads, so they had to get someone on it. I was told this at approximately 10:10pm, 40 minutes after the initial order was placed! At this point, I requested a refund. The dismissive bartender did not understand how to process a refund so she asked a co worker. He proceeded to refund me with cash. Out of no where, the bartender jumps in-between us accusing me of "trying to take money that do not belong to me." Neither of us absolutely had no idea what she was talking about or why she was making a scene in front of customers. Yes, I paid with card however her manager said he would have to refund my money as cash because he didn't understand how to process a refund either. My experience here was already horrible having waited over 45 minutes for a carry out order for two salads. What made the experience worst was the rude and dismissive bartender who accused me of trying to take a $20 refund after I was told by the restaurant staff that this would be the fastest and most simplest way for me to receive the refund.
