I save my 5 star reviews for those that really go above and beyond. I went to Bobs for breakfast twice and it was absolutely fantastic both times. As a former executive chef I'm always on the lookout for a place like this. Here's why: 1) The place was clean and not pretentious. I could tell it gets properly mopped regularly(I know that smell just thinking about it) did I mention how clean the glassware was? The menus were wiped before service and the table was not sticky. I also enjoyed the Bob theme. A solid win! 2) They clearly cook from scratch and the quality of their food shows that. I ordered eggs over medium 2 days in a row and they were perfect (crappy kitchen staff can't do this) the green chili was the right consistency and tasted like it was supposed to. Tamales were very good. Homemade for sure; you can tell by the texture. I had hash browns that were screaming hot, seasoned correctly and most importantly were nice and crispy on the exterior and soft in the middle, they soaked up the yolk from my over medium eggs beautifully. Proper breakfast meats, ham was slightly colored and hot but not curled up and dry. The coffee was strong and fresh made. I liked that they used random coffee cups my wife happened to get an old far side mug, it got me to laugh. I did catch sight of a chicken fried steak with gravy on my way out. It looked like something you would see in a dream if you were hungry and possibly a little hung over.Next time! 3) I like the wait staff, one of the hardest things to do in a restaurant is to get your wait staff to stay busy while they have down time. The second is keeping your dishwasher in the dish pit. Nick S. Took care of us and didn't miss a beat. It's a beautiful thing to see when it's done right. His first priority was the food. As soon as it hit the window it was being brought to the table, this is a chefs dream come true. He topped off my coffee twice and didn't bug me while doing so. He got everyone's order right with zero problems.In between running food and treating his customers like gold he was doing side work and stayed busy the whole time. I would hire this guy 10 times over. 4) The value, I left full and happy. This seems like a place the locals go. That's where I go. You should go too. Don't change please, you have a rare stride. Decent sized hole-in-wall type bar. They have probably 20-25 TV's surrounding the room. A couple pool tables (they were covered and I didn't see pool cues anywhere, but also didn't ask), a couple Foosball tables ($.75), and a couple dart boards. We enjoyed our food. Prices charged were higher than prices on menu. To their credit, there is a QR code taped to the menu that says, "scan this for most current pricing" but that is pretty unusual so I didn't notice until after they mentioned it when I questioned the bill. read more

Tucked between businesses inside a building in Avon sits this amazing eatery that serves great food, provides top notch service. If you like a walk down memory lane, this place will do it with the memorabilia and posters of day's past. Great breakfast options ranging from standard eggs and sausage or something more satisfying like waffles, pancakes, burritos and a host of different delicious-ness. Liked the place, but it was very noisy. 2 pool tables right in the middle of a very crowded space. Wait staff was the best part. Food was also better than bar food, somewhat of a good surprise. The fajitas are a keeper! Good stop after a day on the nearby Beaver creek slopes! read more

Went here for breakfast because of all the great reviews and turned out to be super disappointed. I got the desperado breakfast skillet and it was just downright sad. Potatoes were terribly bland, barely any cheese, and my over medium eggs looked like they'd be considered over cooked for a McDonald's breakfast sandwich (they were a step beyond fried.) I was starving so I ate it but I wouldn't rush to return. The Irish coffee for $8 was the best thing from the meal. And the service was decent. read more

Came into Bobs for the first time tonight, Misael was my server. He really provided the best experience possible. The food he recommended was amazing it hit the spot least to say. They had a great amount of tvs around which made dinner feel comfortable like at home. Misaels bartender special was on point ! The outdoor dining area was a perfect setting for a casual meal with kids. Nice food selection with something for everyone.

We were in Avon for a week and we liked this place so much we wound up eating here three times. The service was exceptional. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I'd describe the food as pub fare, you know, burgers, nachos, salads, etc. ever we tried was excellent and everything was reasonably priced--- especially considering this is a resort town. Outside dining with a decent view of the mountain, although slightly obscured by the surrounding condos, was a plus. Definitely recommend Bobs to anyone in the area. read more

The service was relaxed and at the same time attentive. I had the tamales appetizer and was surprised at how good the tamales tasted, the spice of the green Chile sauce and the presumes of the pico de gallo and garnishes. My husband enjoyed. the Turkey club and fries, which looked good. We will definitely return. read more

Wanted to try somewhere new for brunch. I looked to Yelp for a spot close to our hotel and found this spot. I would definitely not recommend for brunch. I was told by others it is a great sports bar for fried food and football. There are two sides to the restaurant and the bar side was packed. We went to the dining room side for breakfast. I got huevos rancheros. The eggs and the green chili were both watery. The beans tasted metalic. It honestly was pretty gross. I did get a side of homefries which were actually delicious. So I ate those mostly. My dining partner got and omelette and wasn't really a fan. We also both also both had bloody mary's. Great toppings and the effort was there but those were watery too. They needed some horsey sauce, tabasco and worcestershire stat. I hate to rag on this place because the concept was super cute. All kinds of ode's to bob's on the walls. Made me laugh. The service was also awesome. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. Just wouldn't go here for breakfast. read more

Went for dinner last night, conveniently located a short walk from the Westin where we're staying. Got seated fairly quickly, but sat for a long time with no service. Two parties seated after us had their drinks and apps before we got any service at all. After the server came, she did a good enough job. One of us ordered 9 piece wings but received 15 wings, only ate half. When the bill came we were charged for 15. The server corrected the error on our bill, no problem. We decided to come back for breakfast due to convenient location. Was not crowded at all, server was good and service was much faster than the night before. However he did not write down any of our orders. My husband's meal had the wrong kind of toast and bacon rather than the sausage links he had ordered. My son found a long black hair cooked into his hash browns. The server was apologetic and removed that meal from our bill. Definitely not the server's fault, but the cook needs to wear a hair net! All in all, food was just average, not exceptional, so based on our 2 not so great experiences, only 2 stars. read more

I can only speak for the restaurant side, but Bob's is even more than it claims to be - a Sports Bar. They do have bar food, but that also have diner food...the good kind. Service was the best we had in the mountains so far, and my family LOVED it! I'll update on on meals when I have more time. read more

I just wanted to follow up to inform everyone that I was contacted by the restaurant within a day of writing the review. A gentlemen named Chris (general manager) reached out to me via email and offered their sincere apologies for the incident. They apologized for missing the mark on the food order as well as the auto gratuity that was imposed. He proactively reached out to me on multiple occasions via email and by phone in an effort to make it right. He didn't challenge any of my assertions and even thanked me for my "thoughtful review". He told me that as a result they are looking into how they can change and avoid a similar situations in the future. The manager conducted himself in a professional and courteous manner that far exceeded by expectations. Restaurants will of course make mistakes. The way they handled their mistake is worthy of the highest praise in my book and I will certainly give them another chance when we visit the area. read more

We visited Bob's twice during our one-week stay (from California) a few steps away. First time was during the Euro final and every single TV was on which was fabulous. We sat at the bar and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. Eventually, owner Bob hung out right next to us and had a long and ongoing chat about soccer with our son who is also a soccer nut. We ordered a salad and the tater tots to snack on while drinking beer. Really tasty. A couple days later we came over for dinner. Two of us had Reuben's and one had a burger. Cocktails delicious. Again, server super friendly and attentive. It's a sports bar but the whole package is a whole lot more. Highly recommend! read more

During our two week stay at Beaver Creek Resort we've eaten at Bob's Place several times, the atmosphere is relaxed and a place where you are amongst locals and treated with friendly and attentive service. The servers do a great job and the menu selections are very diverse so you can usually find something to satisfy your appetite. The burgers, sandwiches, and salads were are all delicious, especially the Brown Derby Salad, Pastrami Reuben, Patty Melt, & Turkey Club. Very loud bar area with many loud intoxicated locals. Probably fun for them but not for us. Food was ok. I was in a party of 4 and there was mixed feelings. I enjoyed my fajitas, while others said their meals were average (Out of 3 items originally ordered). Waiter did make mistakes with our order though he was nice. read more

So we always make it up for the Forth of July big fireworks and of course spend the weekend eating out. We have tried Bob's place a couple of time and have always been happy with the service and food. This weekend was no exception, our waiter, Houston, Austin, Dallas or one of those cities was outstanding. I had the lunch Salmon plate and it was outstanding, large portion of salmon and the mixed veggie were cooked to perfection. Of course we had dessert and of course we tried all 3. My only criticism was IF u order the brownie dessert I would suggest you have the heat it up because normally it does not come that way but with vanilla ice cream served with it I like it to melt as I'm eating so I have to keep up. It's an unassuming sports bar w better than expected food. Typical sports bar atmosphere and a great staff. We grabbed carryout and everything tasted great. The wings in monkey sauce (buffalo + BBQ) and the steak fajitas were favorites. They forgot a side order of soup, but the servings were def on the larger size, so we had plenty of leftovers of the rest. As for the layout, they made a point to space ppl out (bc coronavirus), all staff wore masks, and they provided multiple large containers of hand sanitizer. Attentive staff.
