We stopped for the night and I I found KD on yelp. I gave him a call that evening and he showed up the next morning at the hotel. Very very nice man! I had thought we maybe got some bad gas but after running a diagnostic turns out it was bad spark plugs and a coil that had gone bad. He was able to quickly get the parts delivered and changed in no time. He is amazing knowledgeable very personable and really fair man. His rates are much better than if I had had to take and leave my care at a brick and motor garage and wait on them to get around to my car. I had him come out for a pre‑inspection and to fix a coolant leak on a vehicle I was test‑driving. The repair was simple, but I was charged $180 for what was billed as two hours of work. I already knew about the coolant leak and had tried to plan ahead, but the part I ordered was incorrect. He went to O'Reilly to get the right one, which I appreciated. After the repair, I asked him to test‑drive the van to confirm it was in good working order. He said he drove about 80 mph in Beckley and that it seemed fine, though he did mention a whining noise. He stated it was definitely not the transmission or pump, even though three OBD codes pointed toward transmission‑related issues. My mechanic immediately recognized the noise as a classic sign of a failing transmission -- something any experienced mechanic should have caught, especially with multiple codes indicating a problem. Long story short, the transmission is completely shot. I genuinely wonder how hard the van was driven during that 80 mph test run. Overall, not happy with the experience and do not recommend.

My Motorhome exhaust pipe bracket broke. Coachnet called laxtons to come out and repair it…read more Apparently Laxtons contracted out to another company i talked to Joe on the phone and told them i need a 4 in u bolt and a 4 inch flexible pipe. to fix it. plus i sent them pictures. the mechanic arrived with a 5 inch pipe and a 5 inch u bolt he arrived at 10 am left at 10:30 didnt come back with the 4 inch parts until 3pm. took a half and hour to put them on and charged me for 6 hours of labor and 44 dollars for a ubolt that was 10 bucks at autozone for a total of 978 dollars he didnt need a flexible tube because the old one was long enough to use. i disputed the bill withe the women on the phone because they wouldnt have had to go get different parts if they brought the correct one in the first place they said the guy joe said i never told them i said a 4 inch pipe and u bolt. i have three witness that were sitting in the motorhome when i told them that heard me.
