They think that cultivating a loyal customer is more important than creating a one-time sale. Last weekend I went to Tires Plus because my car was making some awful noises. They were unable to diagnose the problem and ended up charging me for a bunch of crap I didn't need. Today when the noises started getting worse, I decided to call Boca Auto Service since I had been here before to get my battery replaced. My Mom's car had problems with a rough idle and stalling at red lights. I found a vacuum hose that fell off and put it back on,. but no improvement. I could not find another vacuum leak so replaced the MAF and ICV. Still no luck. It was due for an oil change and I found Boca Auto Services here on Yelp. I also found a groupon for an oil change so I went for it. I scheduled online for Sat morning but when I got there at 8:30 am it was packed. Apparently the groupon was a success. I found Ruth at Boca Auto service to be honest and forthright. I had a damaged rotor that had been diagnosed in another city on my way to Boca. I called several auto service places. They all wanted to do more than replace my one rotor. Ex: We will only replace both back rotors not just one, you need to have pads replaced also (they had not even seen the pads!), Honda wanted to charge me $160 more than Boca Auto Service. I was told by Jiffy Lube that my oil plug was stripped and to take it back to the last place I had the oil changed ( Boca Auto Service). I did and although they did not admit any fault they fixed it for free. EXCEPT that they sent me home with a car leaking oil. I brought it back and they then said I would need a new oil pan for several hundred dollars and they would " do me a favor" and split it with me. Their mechanic said it couldn't be fixed any other way. I took it to another mechanic who was nice enough to just tighten the oil plug SINCE IT WAS LOOSE and now no leaks. Clunking noise in the back of the car. I had seen reviews so I dropped in just to ask if they were interested in diagnosing and then treating the problem. Ruth, at the front desk, had me wait for about 10 minutes whereupon one of their mechanics and I went for a test drive. Returning to the office, the car went up on a lift and minutes later, I was escorted into the garage and shown what the problem was. Parts were ordered and when I came back to Florida, I made an appointment, took the car in, and later that day, Ruth called and told me the car was ready. The woman at the front (I'm awful with names) is very friendly and knowledgeable- as a woman, I have definitely had mechanics talk down to me or seem to intentionally use overly technical language, so the fact that a woman works there (not just as a receptionist) truly does make a difference to me. Had 184,000 miles on my Durango, and it needed major work. I brought it in to Boca Auto Service, because I have always found them to be fair, honest and very helpful. Needed AC work--a new condensor, and them my compressor was acting up. It was replaced previously, and Fred found out that it was under warranty, so he found a free replacement. Car now blows ice cold. My u-joints were a wreck, and I need new shocks, had a gasket that needed to be replaced, and needed a replacement of thermostat, and a couple other small items fixed. As I said, I needed a major overhaul. Fred got everything done, did it within a day, and did it a a very fair price. And now, I have, my car running like new. Very rarely, can you find a place where you get the efficient, quick, honest service that Fred supplies at Boca Auto Service. It is the only place that I will go to get work done on my car. And if you want to wait for your repair and get hungry, across the street is Baja for food. If the repair is an over nighter, you can get a rental car for, with Fred's special rate for just $25 from Enterprise across the street. I would recommend Boca Auto Service highly. It looked pretty busy, but I decided to take a chance and stop in to see if they could check it out for me. I hate going here but they are awesome so it takes some of the pain away. Their prices seem to always be fair and easily less than most other places. Honestly I don't think it could be less unless you have "a guy" who just seems to have some part he "got" cheap somewhere. I have gone several times in the last six months unfortunately and they have always been incredibly helpful and professional and always conscientious of life's financial struggles. They don't try to sell me nitrogen for my tire or whatever and I always get multiple options with pros and cons for each. Only real negative, if you can even call it that, is they don't have the biggest bay and seem to always be busy so your going to have to wait but my car has so far always been finished the same day, even when I didn't have an appointment, and you just drop it off in morning and pick it up afternoon. Seriously go here. Also lady on phone is awesome and actually cares I think. read more

I recently dropped my car off there after it died and Ruth quickly determined that the issue with my car was under a recall. After replacing my brakes at Boca Auto (which was needed), she negotiated a good price to have it towed and then SHE was the one to keep me informed on the status of my car's repair even though it had been moved to a dealership for the repair. I loved my experience here. I was in desperate need of a synthetic oil change, and I always feel nickle and dimed by my dealership and other "chain" auto shops because it's a higher grade oil. I found them through groupon for a great price, bought the groupon, and made an appointment that same day. The receptionist (I believe her name is Ruth) is super helpful, sincere, friendly, accommodating, and customer-service focused. I feel like those are rare qualities in the auto industry. Not only did they change my oil, they also inflated my tires complimentary, and replaced my headlight (charging only for the price of the part, no charge for service or installation). I never expected to be so taken care of- as it was on my to do list to install the light on my own and also to run to the gas station to pump my tires. This is the best place for brake and rotor replacement I have ever used. Fixed only what was wrong and charged 50% less than the Audi dealer had asked for. Also much better and cheaper than 2 other tire chains I shopped around in Boca/Deerfield area. Nicest people too. Ordered the right parts before getting there just by calling them and telling them I would use them. Also, parts were the best for the vehicle. I went to Mercedes to have my stereo repaired and they told me the entire master command center would have to be placed. The cost for the service and parts was $8000. Being sane I said NO to the repair and went to Fred at Boca Auto. Fred repaired my radio. There was nothing wrong with the master command center, it was an issue of parts being replaced and some reprogramming. The entire cost for the stereo repair and a new transmission mount which I didn't even realize was cracked was under $800.Fred is a kind, caring and honest person. I will never go anywhere else. I went to Boca Auto for the first time for an oil change. When I got there I mentioned a loud rattle that had developed under the car and my cooling fan was no longer coming on. They not only did the oil change quickly but they fixed my rattle without a charge. Additionally the fan wasn't working due to a portion of the bumper that had bent into the fan. They said somebody had run into the front of my car hard enough to bend the metal part but without leaving any visible damage externally. I thought, oh no here come $1000's on expense. Not at Boca Auto, the mechanic offered to modified the bracket and all would work again. 30 Minutes later I was back on the road with everything working. Fred didn't even charge me for this work. He doesn't know it but he made more money that day than he would if he would have charged big for the repair. He has my loyalty and all my auto work is going to him in the future.
