I have been to Boca for several happy hours and dinners and have always left impressed with this hidden gem. A couple weeks back I attended a baby shower at Boca and they totally hit it out of the park. Their penne alla vodka was arguably the best I've ever had. The staff was constantly refilling the food trays and asking all attendees for drink refills. Definitely recommend Boca Grille for gatherings and events of all kinds. read more

We stopped in with friends to grab dinner. The dining area is huge along with a bar area as well. I had the half rack of ribs along with a side of asparagus. The ribs were smothered with bbq sauce. Scenery is great as the dining room has a great view of the 18th hole at Smith Richardson. We were in the mood for seafood so we stuck with the theme and had oysters from Mystic, Octopus, Scallops and Swordfish. Everything was great l, especially liked the octopus and the scallops. Olivia was our server and she was great - friendly and attentive. Ordered a cocktail which happened to have a good bit of lime (which I am allergic to) and was able to swap out for a different drink, which I appreciate being able to do. Noise level was moderate as most patrons were at the bar and the restaurant was mostly empty. Food and atmosphere was great so we will definitely be back and we will brings friends and family. Food was honestly great. We got the ahi tuna app and split the chicken blt sandwich. Both amazing. What was not great was the service. Sat at the bar and it took a while to get a drink. We didn't get much attention at all and it wasn't busy. No one asked how our food was so we left after we finished. We would have stayed to watch baseball but didn't want to spend any more money there. Just really disappointing because we have been here many times. Don't know if we will go back. A perfect place to enjoy a meal outside! Outdoor seating overlooks the 18th hole which is beautiful and can be entertaining to watch golfers finish their round. I do wish outdoor seating was an option on OpenTable. I booked a reservation but there was no option to specify outdoor seating and it was full when we arrived. There is plenty of indoor seating for hot days and a large bar with tvs for after your round. All the food we ordered was delightful and was served in huge portions. They had plenty of specials so we tried the lobster Mac and cheese appetizer, halibut entree, and surf and turf entree. All were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The onion rings were my favorite part of the meal. The breading was crispy and salty and the chipotle sauce had a nice kick. We also ordered pretzel sticks, crispy chicken sandwich, shrimp scampi, and chicken Milanese stack. The chicken cutlets were nice and thin and all the ingredients for everything tastes fresh. Sadly the quality freshness of the food here has been deteriorating and has now declined to the lowest levels. Had been our go to until last night. We went here regularly- at least once every 2 weeks. If not more Last night husband and daughter wee served contaminated clams. (Linguini and clams) We should have not even touched it given the horrible smell. Even our server knew something was off. After a few bits and realizing something was off they did not eat it. Great stop for lunch on our way to Boston. We could tell our hubbies were itching to play a round of golf as we dragged them both into the club house. Honestly didn't except such a great lunch but the service & food were perfect. So happy my cousin & I shared the Cobb salad & avocado chicken flat bread as it was big. Just moved to Fairfield and this is the closest restaurant..we feel so lucky! The food is quite good.. everyone has enjoyed the pretzel bites, rigatoni, gnocchi and ribs. I've had the clams and oysters and really enjoyed them. The drinks are great too! The rum punch and gin drinks are great.. ambiance is awesome with a view of the 18th (I assume, as I haven't played there yet) green.. at sunset, it's beautiful.. the service is also excellent, pleasant and always there to help! We had a brief visit on opening day after a round of golf. The place is very nicely set up with a large bar many indoor tables and several more outside overlooking the 18th green. The staff is all new as this is a brand new restaurant but experienced. We spoke to some who had been at their restaurant in Bridgeport on the water. We had a few tap beers - Guinness and Blue Moon. They have several more on tap and nice selection of mixers and top shelf drinks. We only had one appetizer the pretzel and it was fantastic. I highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back for dinner. They are open until 10pm long after the golf is done. read more

Golf courses and cemeteries being the biggest waste of land in the country, its good to make use of its lush views with a good restaurant. Being a fan of Boca on the water, figured we would try it out. Most of the menu remains the same (no giant raw bar towers) with a few new options. For apps we went with a dozen Blue Point Oysters, Thick Bacon and Grilled Octopus. All were hits! For the mains, we saw the Tuna, Veal Chop and Sea bass. Each plate was large and filling. Accompaniments were great. They had an acoustic guitar player on the outside deck playing at the perfect volume so we could still hear each other. Wow, what an upgrade to this location at the Smith Richardson Golf Course. From Dive to Amazing. Good food, plenty of room and a full bar. Plenty of TVs to catch sports and a great menu. With a patio overlooking the golf course its got great views as well. Hands down better than its sister-property in Bridgeport which is good but needs better management to make the experience better. Boca Grille and Raw Bar in Fairfield, however, is very good. Worth the trip. read more

Menu is pretty broad and everything I have eaten in four or five visits has been good (onion soup, nachos and steak sandwich are particular favorites). About half the price of Westport's comparable restaurant (La Plage) and arguably a better outdoor setting. read more

First time eating there so this review is only based on that. The reason for the three stars is because of how some dishes were prepared which may the way it was intended. First one of our party had the pork chop. Cooked ok but overwhelming heat on everything in the dish. Ruined it for that person. Two others had the Shrimp scampi and they said everything was swimming in a sauce which diminished the garlic flavor. Several had the salmon and all liked it. Not very crowded inside for a Saturday but outside tables had music and looked nice. Will give it another chance. Always liked the Bova Bridgeport harbor location. read more

This place just opened in April 2021 and is owned by the same Boca in Bridgeport. Arrived while it was still sunny so we requested to sit outside and ordered drinks while watching people finish up their games. Good cocktails and wine selection. Started with the nachos; there was plenty and served in a small iron skillet. We ordered the poke bowl and shrimp scampi. Very tasty on both. I work at a public golf course and wanted to take a visit to the updated grill room at Smith Richardson Golf Course. Upon entering I was delighted by this huge and nicely laid out eating area. Looked like a lot of thought was put into designing this area. My time was mid afternoon so did not know if this was there slow period or not. Turn to the nicely laid out seating bar area and took seat. A young man approached me and said nothing. I told him I'm interested in ordering a draft beer and a food menu. He did tell me what draft beer was available and I order a beer and something from the menu. Nobody at bar but me. That was the end of our conversation. No interaction there? After a while what seems to be the manager comes into bar and not even an eye contact to acknowledge someone is eating at you place. He takes up conversations with this couple that sat down by me for at least 7 to 8 minutes. Still no contact with me even to say hello. He could care less. No hospitaly knowledge at all . I was the first one to say goodbye and thank you.They did not even say thank you for coming or thank y ou for eating at Bocafor .. In my opinion they did to step up their customer relations which will go a long way. Thank you. read more

Beautiful surroundings however, lousy food. Went for the Sunday Brunch and I ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken was nothing more than a frozen breaded chicken breast fried like a hokey puck. The waffle was not fresh but probably also frozen. The server, Meg, seemed unsympathetic when I told her I could not eat the food. My husband had the French Toast which he enjoyed.
