Amazing customer service, Don was super friendly and made great menu suggestions. The food was delicious, it was so good that we ignored the bread. I will definitely be returning again. All the sauces are homemade and absolutely fantastic!

    Braised pork shank

Found this local restaurant on Yelp while driving north on a road trip. We sat right away and were served quickly. I had the dinner special of braised pork shank. The pork and broccoli were delicious, didn't care for the risotto, didn't taste fresh. Three other tables were all locals and they spoke with us and got hugs from the staff. The music was perfect for an Italian restaurant - music from The Godfather and Frank. What more could you want? Our waiter, Donny, was very friendly. There is a bar which has a TV so it feels more casual than I may be describing. If you're looking for good Italian with dimmed lighting, white tablecloths and nice music, and want a neighborhood feel, stop at Ristorante Di Sofia (named after the owners daughter).

5 Stars from a very fussy foodie. 4 people 4 dishes and an appetizer. All was perfect including the wine selection. Can't believe I waited this long to try it. We will return.

Menu front 12/2024. Forgot to snap back, but is liquor menu and after-dinner drinks, cordials, etc.

Excellent!!! White tablecloths but not pretentious; come as you are, and feel welcome. Small friendly bar area with TV. Had the nicest server named Hako. He and his father own it. Family from Calabrese region in Italy. They immigrated to the Bronx/Arthur Ave. Then CT. Father Italian. Mother Albanian. True pride of ownership. Food was fabulous. Took pic of menu. Lots of nice specials making decision on what to order quite difficult because everything sounded amazing. Terranova bread (iykyk). Tender calamari with light fresh tasting red sauce. Bolognese was incredible. Other photo was sea bass special that my husband loved. Desserts were just ok.

I had been wanting to check this place out since they opened and I started hearing positive things about it. Sorry I waited so long! Wow! This place is the real deal. Attentive, friendly service, and amazing food! Authentic Italian , for sure. I had the clams casino to start- amazing! Probably the best clams casino I have ever had! My partner had the chicken Marsala , I had the papardelle Bolognese. They were both delicious! I was stuffed, didn't order dessert. Next time. There definitely will be a next time! Highly recommend!

Food…read morewith a view is usually not great bc you're paying for the view, but this food is better than average. Last night I had the veg risotto. Generous portion, nice flavors. Husband had a chicken sandwich that he said was like an 8 (he's a fried chicken sandwich guy) and fries. The fries were DELICIOUS! I went a few months back and had the veg poke bowl. It was the special and it was also very, very good. Our waitress last night was fantastic. It was pretty busy but she was extremely attentive and fast, and had one of my favorite qualities in a server: she didn't barge over and interrupt. She made sure we weren't MID SENTENCE TALKING and that we looked up at her before she spoke, which is such an under-appreciated quality in a server. The Landing is a bit spendy, but look at that view! It's clearly a place folks go to celebrate because there were THREE tables side by side that had birthdays. But back to the patio: this place used to be called Knapps Landing and we always called it Gnat's Landing because of the bugs. Well, the gnats haven't gone anywhere, but they've installed big fans along the deck which is a really smart way to curb the bugs, so bring a sweater. You can direct the fans away from you if you don't have a sweater, but heed this important tip! And go on a Wednesday! The live jazz quartet was awesome.

They also have a little fish pond with a bridge on the deck which feels very magical. On the weekends they offer love music and have an outdoor bar. If you are a spritz fan they offer a few varieties and their menu is a mix of coastal seafood and Asian fusion. I typically get the Poke Bowl which is very fresh and tropical as well as roasted maple brussel sprouts! When the deck is busy the service can be a tad slow but you won't mind with the vacation vibes they are serving.

You could tell moms were being celebrated everywhere, families were out enjoying themselves, and despite the crowd, the atmosphere still felt fun and lively instead of stressful. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu with a huge variety of sushi, seafood options, and buffet station, which definitely felt worth the price considering how much food is available. Without a reservation, the wait looked pretty long, so I'd definitely recommend calling ahead on holidays or weekends. Even with how crowded it was, the service stayed good throughout the night. The ordering system uses tablets at the table, and because of how busy it was, a few of my orders didn't go through the first time. I mentioned it to our server and he immediately addressed the issue, made sure I reordered everything, and continued checking in to make sure our food was arriving correctly. I also appreciated how accommodating the staff was. I asked for a chicken sushi roll and they made one for me I did have to reorder the seafood boil before receiving it, but the servers stayed attentive, communicated with us, and handled concerns professionally the entire time. What stood out most was that despite the chaos, everyone still seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff was clearly working hard, but they stayed friendly and attentive throughout the Mother's Day rush. Overall, the food was good, the vibe stayed positive, and it still ended up being an enjoyable holiday dinner with friends and family. Definitely a spot I'd come back to; just with a reservation next time

Whatever reason, I thought I did a review on this place years ago, as I've been coming here for…read moreyears, and I always have given it 4 1/2 five star rating because the food was fantastic and they had by far the best clam chowder ever. It was a type of place that I would say don't judge a book by its cover, it was a sneaky good place with incredible and creative seafood options. The lobster pot pie was delicious, the lobster quesadilla out of this world, the steak tips, very tender, oyster, Rockefeller, sinfully addictive... a lot of great offerings. Came back after a long time of not being here back in the fall and had a wonderful experience with my girlfriends. Came back today, and it was absolutely catastrophic! I don't know if it's under new management, but the whole place was chaotic, the service was awful, and the food was terrible... The clam chowder wasn't clammy in flavor like it used to be, it it was heavily laden with bacon bits, which, if you're a bacon fan is all the way for you, but I'm getting clam chowder, not bacon chowder. I ordered the mac & cheese lobster which was described as a creamy mac & cheese with lobster and truffle oil... There was not one single sign of truffle oil on this dish at all. It actually did have generous amounts of lobster, but it was far from creamy and the pasta itself was dry. My other half had the fried clams, they rate as some of the worst clams we have ever tried, and the portion was extremely skimpy, and the clam composition was mostly that grizzle! ( the attached photo is the dish as it was delivered to us... It had not yet been touched. )The fries were ice cold, and to boot what made it worse, no signs of life from our server...hello, hello...I felt like Adele! The gentleman who took our order was busy going outside, taking care of the tables outside went by us countless times and didn't even pay mind to us-you've thought we were invisible! The other waitresses that walked by, couldn't even understand body language, maybe they did, but didn't care because it wasn't their table, but we sat there for 40 minutes and no one ever came to check on us. Never had this issue with this place before, which makes me think that it's really under new management, given how the food was, and the lack of care of the personnel. I doubt I will be coming back here again given the experience, and I never do this, but for the first time ever I didn't leave a tip because they were not deserving of a tip. We finished our sodas, we were thirsty, and we were never offered anything more to drink. Why - because again no one came to check on us. When I finally called one of the waitresses over, she came and asked if I want to wrap up the food and I told her I needed a container and I pointed to my husband's food and I told her that the clams were god awful and why they were bad and unfortunately, we were neglected by our server and all other staff for that matter. She told me she would take the clams off the bill and she would come back with a container for my dry lobster mac & cheese. Five minutes goes by no sign of the waitress 10 minutes goes by no sign of the waitress or my container, finally I call the person who looked like she was manning the floor and checked on all other tables and how they were doing except for OURS Was there something wrong with us? We weren't dressed like bums, we sat in the corner, we didn't have extra sets of eyes, we didn't have an extra arm attached to our body, we were just regular, typical people, but she ignored us. Bill came out to $33.50 for bacon chowder, dried lobster mac & cheese, and two Ginger ales... Never again! Honestly, the way we were treated was shameful, hopefully they learn from this lesson and they do better... No one deserves this, especially with the cost of food these days. It took us 50 minutes to get here, and we made it a trip because we've had great experiences in the past, but seeing that all three dishes were disappointing makes me believe that this is not the same place that it used to be.
