Very disappointed by the false advertising. Boca promotes that they serve lunch, but if you visit on the weekend, you'll quickly find out that they only offer a brunch menu with very limited lunch options. We specifically came expecting a lunch experience based on their advertising and were frustrated to discover that wasn't the case. There's a big difference between serving lunch and serving brunch with a few lunch items sprinkled in. Restaurants should be transparent about what they actually offer so customers can make informed decisions before visiting. If you're looking for a true lunch menu on the weekend, this may not be the place for you. read more

Went for brunch/ everything was great- Only complaint was a side of bacon was only two pieces of bacon - which was not enough for a side - also the bagel and lox platter it seemed to be presented on a cut up dinner roll - cut into chunks- when I inquired about scooping the bagel the server was confused and said it's in chunks already which I found really odd Chicken and waffles, breakfast sandwich, crab Benedict all great! Great food and service on a Saturday night for our girls trip! We were able to grab a table outside and ordered some drinks, appetizers and main entrées to share. Definitely recommend getting there early if you're going to do their Saturday or Sunday brunch as it does get busy. They have a huge bar with seating as well as tables inside and outside. We ordered truffle fries and zucchini fries, as well as brie/pear and chicken flatbread and the Ahi tuna crops appetizer. Everything got to the table hot and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. We went on a Saturday night and had a party of 7. We were seated quickly with our reservation, but our waiter didn't come by for quite some time and when he did, he expected us to order everything at once instead of asking for our drink order. He never came to check on us once we got our food and didn't refill our drinks that were all empty. The food was good overall and they have a great variety to please everyone! The food came out pretty quickly too. The second floor was very loud and hard to hear. The environment and vibe of this place is awesome! Ordered a mojito with dinner and it was great. The waitress my table had was very kind and attentive. We ordered the lobster wontons as an appetizer and they were out of this world. The filling and the sauce were both so flavorful. The entree of sweet potato gnocchi was okay, but it was under seasoned. Some others at the table felt the same (they ordered the same dish) and asked for salt and pepper. I enjoyed our visit to Boca. We were seated upstairs and really enjoyed the view of the rest of the restaurant and the privacy of the seating area. It was quiet but also didn't feel secluded. Our waitress was great and made sure we had everything we needed and checked back with us often. For our food and drink - I had a ginger pomberry non-alcoholic drink and it was phenomenal. My husband had their Cardigan cocktail and it was also really good. For dinner I had the seafood scampi. The seafood was definitely plentiful and well prepared. Loved being able to sit at a comfortable booth close to the doors so we still had an outside feel to sitting inside. Got the corn fritters and fries for appetizers and really loved the corn fritters. Was surprised how much cheese was in there but still loved it. I was able to get a spicy non alcoholic margarita off menu and they made it great. Service was fine-waitress was sweet, but rather inattentive- served us warm tap water. Odd. Shared the brussels app- they were just ok. Honestly, Longhorn has way better brussels at a fraction of the price. We shared a ceasar salad-which again-just ok. The crab benedict was fine, but I've had much better. This restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Sarasota. I came here for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all, we likely didn't even need the reservation we had in place. We decided to sit outside so we could people watch and enjoy the gorgeous weather too. Our waitress was very nice and helped with recommendations--I decided to get the poke bowl which wasn't too bad. I kind of would have liked it to be a bit more substantial but it was mostly filling which was good. The whole menu offers very fresh items which is a huge plus too. I loved this location- right downtown (which has a sweet and historical feel) with free parking Sundays. It was very loud inside so we asked to be sat somewhere quieter, kindly accommodated by putting us under the stairs where we still couldn't really hear each other. Our food was delicious, they got the mussels and the caesar salad with chicken, and I got the sweet potato gnocchi. I thought my entree was seriously delicious, as were the apps we shared- the zucchini fries and brussels sprouts (especially the sauces those apps came with!) What a terrific night. The menu is very diverse, giving you lots of options to mix and match which we took advantage of tonight. First, I must commend the staff at the restaurant. Misty was our server and she was so pleasant, engaged and professional. She took the time to have a lovely chat with us and that was so nice. Also, I ordered a Lemon Drop martini and it was so wonderful that I asked if I could talk to the bartender. I Didn't get her name but she was so nice! She Gave us the recipe, the process and stayed for a lovely chat. Oh, and BTW, the food was great! We mixed a bunch of things ( mussels, Brussels, tacos and peppers) and all were terrific. With the exception of the peppers. Not great and Misty took care of us when we gave her that feedback. Overall, a 10 of 10 for service and 9 of 10 for food! Go there, you'll love it! read more

It's located in downtown Sarasota, with a parking garage located within walking distance (free on Sundays). The ambiance was slight steampunk style with casual attire. We ordered from their brunch menu, with truffle fries as an appetizer, Flatbread called one eye wake-up, and braised pork tacos. It's safe to say we enjoyed every course as there was no food left behind. We had a question about parking and the manager came up to us to help us out with the matter. I'm a Boca regular. It is a very nice restaurant inside with a nice bar. The outdoor dining experience is affected by the bar/restaurant at the nearby intersection. In the evenings, there is loud live music coming from that direction, mostly 70's and 80's hits with a female vocalist. Something to keep in mind if you're debating on eating in or out. What we've eaten here: Zucchini Fries- 9/10 Very good and good dipping sauce but sometimes too greasy Ahi Tuna Crisps- 7/10 Decent but they do not compare to the same/similar dishes I've had elsewhere. Parmesan Truffle Fries- 5/10 Very greasy. Seemed like the oil was not hot enough. Yellowfin Tuna Poke Bowl- 7/10 Everything was good but did not like the black rice. It was cold which made it very dry. Would have preferred it with white sticky rice. Not eating the rice left me pretty hungry. Seared Salmon- 10/10 One of the best dishes in town. I have had this many times as has my table. You get a big, beautiful, fresh piece of fish every time and every time the kitchen cooks it to absolute perfection. The succotash is amazing. My only complaint is the amount. Would definitely appreciate more succotash to go with the fish. read more
