My boyfriend loved his sandwich and the fries said they were both really good. I had a salad and their twice baked potato which were both equally as good. Amazing service and delicious food! Unlike other restaurants, they don't require your entire party to be present in order to be seated. They were offering a set menu for the Taste of UTC with a selection for a three course meal. If that didn't catch your eye, you could also order from their regular menu. I ordered the truffle pasta with steak off of the regular menu. The truffle was subtle and well mixed with the cheese of the pasta. I had ordered the chocolate lava cake to share for dessert. It does show that it takes about 10-15 minutes to make, but it was worth the waits it's topped with fresh berries and a side of vanilla ice cream. We would go here mainly for the fish and chips. Pretty satisfying but the last time the fish was undercooked and super oily. And my bill was $75. Fried fish and French fries for 2 shouldn't have cost me more than $30 for both. The time before I had their post burger and it was super messy and didn't taste that great. Started our early dinner with a delicious Espresso Old Fashioned. First time but definitely not the last time I will order this cocktail. The bartender nailed it! It was perfectly balanced. YUM! For the appetizer we chose the Burrata and Tomato which consisted of Burrata, blistered tomatoes, basil pesto, truffle oil, and aged balsamic on a grilled crostini. Burrata portion was generous and the entire plate was very good. Mains were the Double Cut Pork Chop, espresso rubbed with a maple glaze alongside sweet potato gnocchi, goat cheese, spinach, and blackberry gastrique. The pork was grilled spot on. This dish is on the sweet side which is right up the hub's alley. He ate all of it. I enjoyed the Seared Scallops and Shrimp which included Parmesan Risotto, Lobster Sauce, Pancetta, Asparagus, and Roasted Tomatoes. Every thing on my plate was very well cooked and the flavors played so well with each other. I too (to the protest of my waistband) ate all of it. Post is a fairly new place in the Cooper Creek area. It has a lot of seating both inside and outside. I really like the fact that it has a roll-up window next to the bar so one can sit either inside or outside while sitting at the bar. The outside seating seems nice, but it's next to a busy parking lot, so I'm not sure how nice that really is. We sat inside in a comfortable booth. The service was good. While I made a reservation for a fairly empty place, we were seated right away and nicely taken care of. I had the chicken Madeira, which was good, not great. Portions were decent sized. We have eaten here in the past maybe 3-4 times. We went for lunch Saturday afternoon. Not super busy, but we think the ambiance in and around the bar area and outside is pretty nice and picturesque. The restaurant is never super busy ( not quite sure why) so we got a decent spot near the bar quickly. The waiter was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. We had 2 entrees and 1french onion soup. The French onion soup was very good and hopefully they keep the recipe just the way it is. My wife's fig pizza was appetizing as she stated I would order this again. FYI the crust is a little thicker is your into that. I had the French dip and I would say it's definitely something I could order again, but my sauce for dipping was maybe a little too much on the red wine side, but bonus I had leftover French onion which served as an awesome dipping sauce. It was a girl's night out at Post Kitchen and Bar. We enjoyed a nice evening on the patio. Love the decor and atmosphere. The waiter was really nice and gave us some great recommendations. We ordered Caesar salad and fries for our appetizers along with fresh homemade pull apart butter rolls. The rolls were delicious. Melted in your mouth. My girls ordered the Post Burger. So I'll start by saying... It's an amazing restaurant. You wouldn't expect a beautiful restaurant like this to be found in a strip mall... But, this truly is a really nice place. Delicious food and beautiful presentation. My wife and I got oysters that's an appetizer. Large oysters: very fresh, tasted great. My wife got the Caesar salad and I got the French onion soup. The French onion soup was delicious. Her Caesar salad was a little too fancy... That's my way of saying it was pretty small and maybe too much presentation and not enough food/flavor. So negative points on the Caesar salad. I ordered the fillet... It was a great cut of meat, perfectly cooked, and quite good. It was served over potatoes that almost had a tater tot texture to them. I really enjoyed the potatoes -- great combo with the filet. My only gripe... I don't really like when restaurants cut the meat for me. I'd rather cut into it myself. Another friend at the table ordered the New York strip and similarly it was cut into small pieces. I get it... Cutting into the meat and laying it down in the plate does right makes it look pretty. But, I'm still not a fan of this. My wife got the Chilean Seabass, and she really enjoyed the fish. It was presented with a risotto which she thought was a little too creamy. My friend was celebrating a birthday and he got a crème brûlée for dessert. We all had a little bit... It was delicious. Although I had a few critiques, I really enjoyed the food. It was a very delicious dinner. Speaking about the restaurant... It's a beautiful restaurant. Very clean, very well serviced. I had my first experience here this weekend, 2 nights in a row. Saturday night was for my first 60th birthday. We had 18 ladies. Josh our server was awesome to handle separate checks! Ambience is great. I had Chilean Seabass & although it was pretty small; it was delicious none the less. Sunday night , another birthday dinner but with couples. I sat outside and it was awesome. I only ordered a drink, the house salad, and the hassleback potatoes. The drink was really good! And the potatoes were good as well. I'm glad it came with two because they were expensive. I noticed other tables were getting rolls brought out to them, so I asked for some and I am so glad I did. They were amazing! The serve was good. I think because I was a solo diner my waitress didn't pay as much attention to me as other tables got, which was a little disappointing. I would definitely go back for dinner to try a few things out if I lived here. Overall, I think it's worth a visit! Service was extremely slow and had to wait to place food and drink orders. Placed an order for a hamburger medium well. Burger came out rare in the middle. Had to wait at least ten minutes to tell server who acted surprised. They took the food back to fix and after twenty minutes I had to go to the hostess and let them know I didn't want the food. My wife had already finished her meal. Not any sense of urgency until the server found out and then a manager came out. I just can't understand how a kitchen can under cook a hamburger! Lovely interior. The exterior is lovely considering the location. The restaurant is located in a huge shopping area, but very nice. The food overall was delicious. Everything pictures (except the salmon salad) was cooked well and devoured. The drink was great and everyone had plenty of room and space to talk. Our waiter- He was AWESOME. I hate that I have forgotten his name, but he is from New York and made excellent recommendations. If you are in the area and want a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere stop in. I came in with high expectations and left with apathetic feelings. In my personal opinion, this restaurant I would never recommend to anyone. I did love my ribeye steak. It was cooked to perfection. I ordered the grilled asparagus instead of the Hasselbeck potatoes. The asparagus was undercooked and refire was posted for me but it did not come to me until I was paying my bill. The new asparagus was cooked right. The service was poor. I and two other individuals sat at the bar around the same time and it was almost five minutes before we received any service. The bartender or server, I'm not sure which, took my order and never saw her again until the end of my meal. My water was never refreshed and multiple bartenders never stepped up. I did like the decor of the restaurant. It looks inviting from the outside and the inside was as well. I would have enjoyed sitting outside on the patio but, alas, it was raining. Order the spicy tuna roll very delicious. Followed by a beautiful baked French onion soup, broth was very delicious but very thin. My wife and I both had the scallop and shrimp risotto. Risotto was undercooked and lacked seasoning shrimp and scallops seared perfectly. They have a great selection of food that you don't typically see at all the other restaurants and it was very refreshing to see. They also have a huge drink menu. Very newly open so they are still working out the kinks - patience is needed while they figure everything out. That being said, very good and friendly service. The interior was all spotless and brand new (they've only been open a couple of days). Extremely comfortable chairs - a very welcome difference! A nice outdoor seating area, too. The French Onion Soup was very good. Flavorful and lots of onions and cheese. The Salmon was asked to be prepared rare and it WAS served rare - unusual from most restaurants. Delicious! The Chicken Madeira was excellent as well. I'd prefer a few more mushrooms and mashed potatoes instead of it being served on sourdough bread, but I'm not a sourdough fan on any case.
