They have a lot of really great small plates to share as well as solid entree options. We enjoy it so much that we joined their wine club that includes monthly tastings and monthly bottles of wine. I wasn't sure what I wanted to she brought out 2 wine tasters for me to decide. She took excellent care of us and was not over the top. We ordered 1 app, 3 meals and 4 glasses of wine. Since we had such a nice brunch a few weeks ago, we came back with a different couple. We were the first ones in the restaurant at 10:15, so you would think we would get good service. Nope. After waiting a crazy long time for someone to help us, the server told us that they were out of 3 dishes on the menu. The same thing happened last time. I absolutely can't comprehend how this happens. I ended up ordering the same breakfast gnocchi I had last time because I loved it. When the food arrived, mine looked totally different from last time. It was in a watery sauce and looked extremely unappetizing. Sadly it tasted like it looked. I couldn't believe it was the same dish. The gnocchi were tough, the sauce was not sauce, but a watery something. Our server never checked on us and there was only one table of patrons. I had to flag her down to get more coffee. If this had been my first time here, I wouldn't be returning, but I know they can do better. read more

This was my first time trying Coopers Hawk and it was great. We went for brunch which their menu was really nice, with a variety of items and drinks. I tried the breakfast gnocchi carbonara, it was delicious. I also had the Ranch water which was very refreshing. For dessert we had the Banoffee Pie and omg it was sooo good. As a Wine Club member since 2024 it was very disappointing to visit this establishment as I've been to other locations and didn't receive such sub par service. Reservations at 6:30, not seated still 6:45, our server took about 10 mins to get to our table, another 15 for our drinks to arrive and the sad part; I wasn't asked if I wanted another glass. Also, my food was taken from in front of me with out asking. I get that it's busy but I feel CH knows there lots of traffic and sacrificing service over profit. Went for a semi kind of Christmas party with a group of 9 friends that don't often get together. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice space and the staff could not have been nicer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They let everyone who wanted to taste wines before ordering do so and did so with a nice attitude and not like they were being put upon as many restaurants do these days. My pistachio encrusted grouper was quite delicious as were the sides. Every dish on the table had a nice presentation ( the filet dish looked fantastic) and all the food came out nice and hot which can be difficult with such a large party. I love Coopers Hawk and this is not my first review here. But i had to post another because...they have a chicken Cesar salad this is not only yummy but they cut up the chicken. For you! Love this place! I've been here 3 times now & each time has been enjoyable. Wine tasting is lots of fun & large pours! Tip - take your last 2 tastings to your table as there are 8 sips on the tasting menu & they are very generous with their pours! I am in the 1 bottle a month wine club & they give you lots of rewards (I earned 2 free wine tastings & got $15 off our latest meal as they give rewards for your spouses birthday)! The wine shop is fun to check out & I have to hold myself back from shopping while drinking! LOL! LOVE Coopers Hawk! We come here frequently and this visit was for our 28 year wedding anniversary. They do a phenomenal job every time! Food is amazing and the Service is always great. We orders the 8oz filet w/ Mays mashed potatoes and Chocken Piccata is delicious w/ asparagus. Can't go without getting the chocolate martini and strawberry mule. We visited Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. She was in Sarasota with friend so we hosted a table of twelve at the restaurant and were beyond pleased with the experience. First, our waiter Isaiah was simply top-notch. Dealing with 9 teenage girls is no small accomplishment but Isaiah was helpful, funny and charming from the time we sat down to the time we paid the bill. Super service! The food was very good. We started with two servings of pot stickers for the table and they received rave reviews. Pretzel bread with butter was spread across the table and was very good. Every single one of the twelve of us enjoyed our meals with many different options selected. The food all looked good and it seems like you probably couldn't go wrong with any option on the menu. The meals were excellent! The girls all got dessert either for themselves or to split and my daughter's option even came with a candle and the table belting out a little "Happy Birthday." 3.5 We came here for a work lunch. Since we had a reservation we were sat quickly. Being greeted was not as quick. After 4-5 minutes, a sever tells us she cannot find our server so she will get us drinks. She takes our drink orders and goes to go get them. When she returns, with only drinks for two of us. She apologizes, stating she couldn't remember her order. She is reminded of the drink our, but then tells us she will take our order because our server is still MIA. A minute or two after taking our order, she came back and tells us she cannot honor a few modifications we had requested. No biggie, we adjust. After another minute or two she returns to tell us they are out of something for the burger one of us has asked for. Again, we adjust. So, after not seeming to know the menu or know what is unavailable, she has been to our table four times attempting to take our order. She has yet to bring a soda for one of us that she has been asked for more than once to bring. All making us worried about our food arriving. The one still needing a drink had to stop her as she walked by to finally get her drink. To our surprise, food arrives and all is good. We don't see our server again until she dropped off the check. Always a good time at CH! This was my first time at the Sarasota location. I was visiting family and we decided to have a ladies night filled with wine tastings and a good meal. We arrived just after 7:30 on Friday night and the tasting bar was packed! The staff were extremely friendly and helped us find a spot for 4 in no time. Our tasting guide was so nice and funny. She even let us try a few more than expected. From there we went to the main room for dinner. I had reserved a table but let them know we were tasting upon arrival. There was no wait time once we were ready. The dining room was laid out like the other CHs I had been to and was very comfortable and a cozy vibe. As a wine club member I got 2 bottles for free this month when dining in so we indulged. We then had their seasonal crispy tuna rice (delicious) and my favorite lettuce wraps (I literally can't come here and not have these). My sisters each had steak and said they really enjoyed it. For dessert we had the seasonal lemon butter cake (yum)! My only suggestion would be serving the butter cake warm. Other than that it was a perfect night with perfect company. Made reservations at 7:15, weren't seat until 7:30. Friday night, it's busy, okay NBD. Appetizers: Bruschetta & Calamari 5/10. Calamari taste and texture resembled that of a soggy onion ring with slightly fishy taste, bruschetta was nothing special, could have made it better at home. Great portions on the appetizers though. Ordered the butternut squash gnocchi and it was actually tasteless. It tasted nothing like butternut squash- just unflavored gnocchi with cheese. Partner was satisfied with steak dinner but not impressed. Ran out of water during dinner, server never refilled or checked, also gave everyone else bread and butter besides us. Crème brûlée was so disappointing. It was cold, and more runny pudding texture. Way too much salt. Partner spent close to 200 on this meal, an it tasted like a target dinner. He was knowledgeable, funny, and efficient. The wine membership is so worth it. Had a fantastic dinner last week. Smart enough after the last few times to make a reservation as I prefer to eat at a booth and not the bar for a more leisurely dinner ( not that the bartenders were bad, it's just not as comfortable for me at any establishment )... Our server was fantastic, especially since we continue to have difficulty with our membership/ app. She spent a bunch of time with us/ our account, but did say that many people don't use the app so that may be the answer... Enough of that. The wines we had were excellent ( Pinot Gris, moscato). I ordered the Thai lettuce wraps ( again)...mmmmm, and my husband ordered Ellie's chicken piccata- always light and delicious with the perfect amount of lemon. Pretzel bread always a winner and could easily double as my dinner with a glass of wine. A great spot for happy hour drinks and bites. We booked a table for 5 knowing that the happy hour ended at 530, arriving right around 510, got seated and immediately began ordering. Each appetizer was great. We enjoyed each, however the beef dip was a little bit underwhelming compared to the burger sliders. My wife and her friend ordered the sangria flight and ended up having 2 full sangrias each, all had really great flavor and they enjoyed them. I ordered one of their bourbon drinks off the happy hour menu and it was very good as well. Overall great spot for happy hour. If you are ordering food I would suggest making a reservation, but if you just want some drinks the standing area at the bar is also a great option. read more

My parents and I came here while I was visiting them in SW FL for the week. It's a casual spot that gets really crowded during the week. And I'm not surprised-their food is consistently good, the service is wonderful, and the drinks are everything you want. My parents really enjoy their dinner salads and which I like too. But I really like their ahi tuna appetizer, which I have as my main meal. It's light, it's refreshing, and it tastes really good. After having my first non-favorable experience at Cooper's Hawk a few months ago, I decided to give it another try last night. As always, their standards of cleanliness was very apparent as floors, counters and tables, showed very attentive employees traveling throughout the restaurant. The bathrooms were also very clean. I made a 7:30 reservation, got there a couple minutes early and was sat five minutes early. We were brought to our table and the hostess that brought us there and was very courteous and kept us involved in conversation the entire journey to our table. We were immediately approached by our server, Anthony. After having a pleasant walk to our table with a very friendly and conversation and engaging hostess, Anthony was also an amazing personality. He introduced himself, ask us our names, and engaged us in a very comforting conversation, as if we were guests in his home. He was very prompt in bringing us our drinks and we were able to give him our meal order. We ordered brussels sprouts as an appetizer, which is something that we usually do as we love them! They were delivered by another very, very friendly and engaging food runner, the young lady with red hair in pigtails. We both ordered the Churasco steak meal, which was prepared exactly to the temperature we asked for. The steak and everything on the plate was hot and fresh. One thing I noticed was that the string beans that were included on my plate were all trimmed neatly, which was the opposite of our last visit when they were not trimmed. Overall, everything was excellent, and the interactions that we had with every employee definitely exceeded my expectations. I was watching other servers interact with their tables and found that they also were at a caliber much higher than I have ever seen at Cooper's Hawk before. We were seated @7:25, our waiter came over but we didn't get bread until after 8; the table next to us got theirs right away. we had ordered our appetizers within 10 or so minutes of sitting, and they didn't come until we asked, 8:30! I'm not sure if that's standard but that's a very long time. Our waiter asked if we wanted a second order of bread around 8:45-8:50 and we said yes... rhat never came. Dinner came right around then. I had the chicken cappelini "life balance" dish. Our waiter asked if I wanted cheese on top... I said yes .. and then he disappeared and never came back until we were done. We asked for the bill twice. It's a miracle we got out of there by 9:30. I'm not sure if this was an off night, or if this is their standard service. ( this was a Wednesday night) Also we did reserve our table for 6; they had my name on the table but didn't bring the 6th chair until we sat. The pretzel bread is absolutely delicious! They offer several vegetarian options, which is a big plus, and I've tried most of them--all have been fantastic. The risotto, flatbread, and enchiladas were especially tasty. The homemade truffles are amazing as well! I've sampled many of the wines, and my favorites are the blueberry and almond--so good! Another delightful visit to Cooper's Hawk, this time at the Sarasota location. We typically go to Tampa. We started with our wine tasting, and Cinderella was our pourer. She was very kind and attentive, even though there were a good number of people there. Upon seating for dinner, our server Brielle introduced herself. She mentioned she was from Freehold, New Jersey and my husband is a huge Bruce Springsteen fan so we enjoyed their conversation about Freehold royalty! Brielle did an excellent job and all three of us at our table enjoyed the calamari appetizer as well as our entrées. I joined the wine club in February and keep thinking I should cancel it but every time we go we have such a wonderful time that I think we'll continue! :-) read more

The dinner that we got was awful Thanksgiving dinner. We have been going to Sarasota Cooper Hawks winery for three years for their Thanksgiving day special and I must say that this was the worst I have ever had from there all the other ones were perfect. This was horrible. The stuffing was like glue. The green beans were the size of a String of hair and they were hard as a brick. The carrots were dry. The cranberry sauce was great what little you got of it and so was the cheesecake and the butternut squash soup was excellent the turkey was good except for the dark meat it was like a giblet. It wasn't like a piece of meat the mashed potatoes were good, but the whole problem is is that we received the dinners and they were cold, and we waited and waited and waited for extra gravy and for them to heat it up or redo the plate she never came couldn't find her so he began to eat never got any bread With our meal all in all, it was a complete utter disaster for Thanksgiving. I could've had a better Thanksgiving at IHOP than there we won't be doing this ever again and we are members of the club but for how much longer we don't know after this experience and who doesn't have unsweet tea, but have sweet tea and can't make unsweet tea because it comes pre-sweet already and they were out of the unsweet tea. If you know a holiday is coming up you better have a overstock on everything that you have Because you know not everyone drinks, wine, beer, or anything like that get it together Cooper Hawk, or your business will fall. We've been in Cooper's Hawk twice now for dinner. It's a large venue with lots of seating and a nice bar area. It also has a couple rooms for private events. Service was good and the menu had a lot to offer. Pricing was reasonable. I guess the only thing I don't like is they only served their own wines. The most recent time, I had a nice bold cab which was good, but I do wish they had a real wine list that included more than their house wines, but I get it - they want to only sell their own products. read more
