I recently returned to Remy's because I really liked their breakfast items. We decided yes let's try again and this time sit inside to see if there is a difference and I must say it was better. The waitress was nice, they all seemed to be busy, but the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the service was more attentive this go around. The Nutella pancakes were crazy good, but share because that dish is a sweet sweet delight. Our breakfast was good and my other guest said his burger was also pretty decent. I stopped by again this week for lunch and have to admit that I had a very pleasant experience. I ordered the grilled chicken Cobb salad and I found it to be absolutely delicious with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. There were just two things that I really wasn't very fond of at this past experience. The person that I was with, asked them to substitute mushrooms for sausage in his meal and they would not do it unless he paid an extra one dollar I thought that was really, really pretty lousy on their part. Also, four dollars for a brewed iced tea I think is a bit excessive. Other than that, our server was great, professional, and there for anything we needed. I will go back again, but I wish they would be a little bit more customer friendly when it comes to realistic substitutions that do not cost them more money. Sat at the bar for HH on 9/2. The cocktails are OK and the food is excellent. The potstickers were excellent, the southwest egg rolls were spicy and good. I had the BLT and it was great and a huge portion. We love this place and will be back soon. read more

I recently discovered this spot with a friend and was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and excellent happy hour deals. The barbecue chicken potato skins and calamari were highlights, while the bulgogi nachos showed promise but fell short due to the overpowering kimchi. The potatoes skins had too much bbq sauce IMO. Fortunately, the service was good, making it a worthwhile experience. Although it's not my usual haunt, I will return to explore more of what it has to offer. read more

Gotta love a warm greeting (by Remy the owner) upon arrival...they obviously appreciate their customers. Cute, warm atmosphere with a modern touch...not a large place but space is used well...including outdoor seating, a bar, booths and tables. Our server, Avah added to a very pleasant dining experience. She was adorable and personable. Six of us were seated at a bouncy but comfortable booth. Menus and happy hour specials in front of us as we were seated. Menu said Sunday happy hour till 6pm but apparently it was extended until closing! Lucky us bc it was 6:15 and we thought we missed it. My drink of choice...dirty vodka martini was on the happy hour which truly made me "happy" at the amazing price of $8.00! Wow! Menu had so many great choices with some great Korean dishes as well. I fluctuated between the Bulgogi, burger and/or fish and chips. So fish and chips took the win. Great choice as they hit the spot. Plump and cooked perfectly. Came with fries and a tiny bit of Coleslaw. The others ordered ribs, chicken fingers, BLT, ahi tuna and also fish and chips. It was all very good. Ribs fell off the bone just like ribs should be. Ahi tuna looked fresh and good but very thin slices. Fries were crispy but not the best I have had. I think the fish and chips were the standout. Desserts sounded tempting, clever and amazing but we were all too full to even split. The fried P and J with ice cream sounded interesting! Maybe next time. The LUNCH menu is largely similar to many other area restaurants - burgers, fried foods, Philly cheesesteak and other tasty sandwiches. A few salads. One bibimbap which was quite tasty, but was long on rice and light on beef. No crisp on the rice either. The chicken with artichoke and capers was very tasty. Best dish of the day. The Remy's wrap we both had was mostly lettuce, a few fried chicken strips which tasted like cooking oil, overcooked bacon crumbles and a watery ranch dip. The fries were good though! Service by Whitney was excellent throughout. Decent wine list, a nice beer selection - bar looks fun (it was lunchtime). Love to see some healthier, fresh baked or grilled options. read more

Tried a few restaurants on main and really none have wowed me. We were going to do pinchers but it had a cleaning solution smell so we left. But last night my grandson and I tried Remy's. He found the kids menu online. He's on the spectrum so he likes very basic limited food. I noticed they have a bunch of Korean fusion dishes. Personally I don't like sweet dishes so I was worried I wouldn't find anything. Our server suggested a salmon meal (Norwegian) which came with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was amazing. I think I could have eaten my weight in green beans they were so good. The salmon was cooked perfectly slightly pink and the seasoning delicious. Although the potatoes were good they were too salty for me. My grandson got a huge portion for his kids meal of chicken tenders and fries both very tasty. What surprised me the most was the cost of our meals which with a soft drink was around $40.00. I think pinchers which is nothing special charges more. This will be our new go to spot. read more

We decided to drop in on First Friday Music on Main and looks like Waterside is pulling some crowd away but we didn't mind, still a good turn-out. We didn't know where to eat and while listening to the band, we saw Remy's on Main right beside us so decided to give it a try. Got seated quickly as it was still early. By the time we left it was slammed but in a good way. We ordered off the specials, I got a gyro and my wife got the fish special. The service was great, friendly wait staff, and the owners (we think they were the owners), stopped by several times and checked on us. Very good to see that attention given to the customers. I still have a high regard for this place and the owners are super friendly. We had a nice table reserved for outdoor dining (with our dog). For First Friday, there were no specials or fresh caught fish on the menu. We both ordered a scallop entree and although we enjoyed our meals, the scallops were just mediocre. The timing of service felt rushed as my entree was delivered as I was still eating the side salad (and the waiter didn't give me dressing options). Before my husband finished his entree, someone would come by our table and try to remove his plate (without asking if he was finished which he wasn't). The ambiance and venue is wonderful, however, there is only a single stall bathroom (not gender neutral) which creates a line. I still highly recommend this lovely restaurant. read more

My wife & I had brunch / lunch here today. We met a manager shortly after entering & not finding a bar seat. He looked around and knew one of his regulars would be moving to another seat shortly & suggested we wait for the two seats that would happen after he moved. Sure enough, he was right! We sat at the outdoor bar & the bartender was great. We both had mimosas in a wine glass & they were very good. I ordered the Avocado toast breakfast & my wife ordered the classic breakfast with scrambled eggs & no protein but with cheese on her eggs & hash browns. Her meal was excellent. Nice crispy hash browns! Mine was very good. Don't think they toasted the sour dough or added the everything bagel spice or oil topping? Didn't miss the spice or oil but the untoasted bread resulted in wet bread which made it tough to eat. I ordered the eggs over easy which certainly happened but I didn't realize they would not be on top of the bread. Reading the menu again, it was pretty obvious that that is how it was intended to be served so my bad. My wife had a Pinot Grigio after her mimosa & it was a nice pour! Bottom line is we had a delicious meal outside of a couple of missteps. We will go again & I will ask for the bread to be toasted & the eggs to be on top of the toast. This is a cute litter semi upscale little cafe on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch. My friends and I went for an early dinner. This cafe has a nice bar at the front of the place. We all ended up having sandwiches. I had the BLT with fries. my friend has the Dinty Moore a lovely corned beef sandwich on Marble Rye with A kimchi side. and my other friend had the chicken Caesar wrap with French fries. I didn't get pictures but they were all delicious: smoked old-fashioned, blueberry lemon drop martini, basil martini and a G&T. We ordered the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer and they were delicious, especially the little bits that were flash fried. Our mains were all fantastic, chicken Parmesan from the daily specials, The Remy, Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Stir-fry with Bulgogi (recommended by our waiter). The service was fantastic.
