Absolutely love this tapas spot! I visited with three of my cousins for a little celebration and we got a bunch of dishes for the table. I enjoyed everything I tried. The atmosphere and service were good, but the food was what would bring me back! Grilled Eggplant (8/10) Japanese eggplant, grilled peach salsa, charred shallot whipped goat cheese, and hot honey...this was such a great marriage of flavors! The eggplant was very soft so I felt the slices could have been a bit thicker to prevent mushiness but overall it was lovely. Lamb Stroganoff (10/10): This dish featured braised lamb shank, mushroom gravy, peas, pappardelle pasta, and parsley sour cream. It was very rich and SO tasty. Probably my favorite dish of the night. Pulpo a Feira (8/10): This dish had grilled Spanish octopus, roasted potato, olive oil, smoked Spanish paprika, and sea salt. The flavor was excellent but a couple of the pieces of octopus were very burnt. Queso de cabra con Miel: (8/10) Absolutely delicious fried goat cheese with honey & almonds! Gambas Al Ajillo (8/10): The garlic flavor was fantastic and the shrimp was cooked perfectly! Patatas Asadas (8/10): These were super tasty and I loved the saffron. I only wish the potatoes were a bit crispier. Paella de Carne (7/10): This dish was tasty and I loved the onion rings on top but it definitely didnt have that authentic paella flavor. It mostly just tasted like bbq meats. Mango Habanero Margarita (10/10): Loved this cocktail! The flavor and spice were amazing and I loved the tajin rim.

Stopped in to socialize with friends after eating somewhere nearby! My partner and I are participating in dry January so we didn't drink, but our friends each had different wine flights that they really enjoyed! The bartender helped them decide which flight to try based on their preferences, which can really be appreciated by someone who feels intimidated trying new things at a bar! The restaurant started filling up at 7:30 on a Saturday and the energy stayed lively while we were there. I'd love to come back and try their food!

My friend and I came in on a Saturday night without a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes which was a nice surprise because the place was quite crowded. It was mostly a young lively crowd and had a good energy. We ordered 4 different tapas: beet salad, crispy rice balls, buffalo cauliflower and sautéed mushrooms on polenta. The sautéed mushrooms came out first. That was our favorite. The polenta was silky smooth and the mushrooms had a lovely flavor. Highly recommend this dish! The Buffalo cauliflower was decent. Our server said it was a bit spicy for her so I requested the sauce on the side. The cauliflower was lightly breaded and arrived with hot sauce and a ranch dressing on the side as well. I would have preferred a buffalo sauce which is creamy and buttery to cut the spiciness of the hot sauce. I just combined the ranch and hot sauce on my plate to tone down the hot sauce. The beet salad was presented beautifully with red and yellow beets with slices of avocado, microgreens, pistachios and a bit of feta. It tasted unremarkable. Not sure what could have given this dish more life. Now for the really bad news... the crispy rice balls left us confused. Although they were crispy on the outside, the inside was mushy and tasteless. We asked the server what was in the crispy rice balls. She told us just rice and cheese. We both looked at each other and tried to guess what could have improved this dish... a stronger flavored cheese, a firmer rice, garlic, dill, rosemary... something was desperately needed. Overall we enjoyed the energy of this place. The hostesses and our server were wonderful. The food was uninspired but I would still love to come back and see if this was just an off night or if our experience was the norm.

A nice find in Wellesley. Phenomenal tapas with a good array of varied heat. The prices are very reasonable. This place is very loud, crowded after 6, but worth your time. Speaking of time, if you need to use the head, be prepared to wait. They have one single occupancy head per sex, including for the staff. Decor is classic Dali-sequel Madridian. My question is, why is bullfighting so romanticized? It is costumed barbarism, unabated cruelty.

Second time coming here and both times have been fantastic!!! My new go-to restaurant in Wellesley. For food get make sure to get the braised beef brisket, calamari, and bacon wrapped scallops. ESPECIALLY the brisket... For drinks the passionfruit mai tai and rosa sangria are very refreshing. The house special blend sangria has a very overpowering honey flavor which I wasn't a fan of. I also got the caipirinha at the server's recommendation and did not expect it to be SUPERR SOUR. She was kind enough to add more agave but it did not help much. Overall the service is excellent. The servers are so personable and friendly, will definitely be back many more times.

I went here with my friend and had tapas for the first time ever it was everything and more than I expected. We had 3 tapas and a seafood paella that were all very good. The ambiance was very nice they had a very cool chalk painting on the wall and the chandeliers were made of utensils. We had a great server he taught us all about how tapas are ordered and gave great recommendations. This was a great place to eat and a wonderful experience over all!

This is a great experience for Tapas and well worth a trip, if you are near any of the surrounding areas to Wellesley, MA. For a group of 4 or more, I would highly recommend their "Experience" platters, as you get to try a good variety of Tapas. They offer these for two, four and 6 guests. We had the 6 guest Experience and ended up taking food home, as it was impossible to go through everything. Then you are also offered Flan and their chocolate churros for desert. The dishes were well scattered throughout the evening, and we also ordered some white sangria, which was great! Have a look at the photos. The cheese and fig platter was exceptionally spot on! We were all very happy with the food and the variety of tapas offered!

Unfortunately - we were seated at 2 tables, one for 4 and one for 10... Never mind I still had fun. WE got the delish truffle fries as an appetizer and I got the scallop entree. I love a scallop and not only were these perfectly cooked, it was the perfect size entree so I wasn't grotesquely full afterwards. Our server got it all right, despite the pressure of so many folks all getting their meal at the same time.

The shopping center itself was nice and felt modern and clean. The parking lot had sufficient parking availability on a Tuesday night. I hadn't made reservations in advance but despite it being pretty busy, they were able to get us a table for 2 inside (there is some outdoor patio seating available). The service was friendly and helpful though not very proactive (but it was busy so understandable). The one major turnoff was the staff aggressively spraying cleaning solution onto nearby tables. That stuff can waft over to someone and set off an allergic reaction, it can get into food/drinks, and the chemical smell that lingered was not great for a higher-end restaurant. On the other hand, it was a clean restaurant! We got shrimp cocktail (they charge by the piece). It didn't come with the standard cocktail sauce - not sure what it was - maybe vinegar-based(?), but it was just OK - my friend didn't like the sauce at all but we thought the shrimp was good. We each ordered haddock with green beans and mashed potatoes. The haddock was nicely prepared with breadcrumbs on top and cooked such that it was still flaky, moist, and had a nice light flavor. Mashed potatoes were good (as other reviewers have noted), and the green beans were ok - maybe a bit undercooked. The team accommodated my friend's nut allergy by leaving off the almonds, which we appreciate! I didn't love the tomato confit but it wasn't bad. I'm glad that I could visit this beautiful restaurant! I hope that they can find a better way to keep the tables clean.

Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to my previous experiences. It was an extremely hot evening, with temperatures in the upper 80s, and sadly the restaurant wasn't much cooler inside. We were a party of six and spent most of dinner fanning ourselves with dessert menus. We even asked for cups of ice and were literally holding them against ourselves to cool down! It became almost comical, but no one wants to spend dinner sweating. One bright spot was our server, who was warm, attentive, and very professional. The cocktail list was fairly limited, but the Passion cocktail was delicious--and thankfully served ice cold. As for the food, the cornbread was outstanding, and the tuna tartare was easily the star of the meal. The other women in our group enjoyed their entrees, but mine was a major disappointment. I ordered the fish tacos based on our server's recommendation. The portion was enormous--three tacos, each packed with fish--but the fish itself was incredibly dry and lacked flavor. I even asked for extra aioli, hoping it would help, but the tacos were still nearly inedible. I ate less than half of one taco. What was most disappointing was that no one acknowledged it. When my plate was cleared with almost the entire meal untouched, no one asked if anything was wrong. I didn't want to make a scene during a birthday dinner with friends, but I also don't think I should have had to pay for a meal that was barely edible. Dessert sounded much more exciting than it actually was. The chocolate brownie was dry, the "Cows in Quicksand" dessert looked unappetizing, the cookies were hard, and the champagne mangoes were underripe. We still had a fabulous evening celebrating with friends, but the dining experience itself fell well short of expectations. Between the uncomfortable heat and the disappointing food, this wasn't the memorable return visit I'd been looking forward to. Dining in a sauna simply isn't on most people's list of enjoyable dinner experiences.

We walked into a spacious, contemporary space with a large bar and plenty of seating, the kind of place that works equally well for watching a game with friends or a relaxed dinner. The interior had a comfortable, polished energy that struck a balance between lively and approachable, and the extensive beer and whiskey selection added to the inviting atmosphere. The menu goes beyond typical bar food with a mix of elevated comfort dishes, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and seasonal entrées. We ordered a few items and found the Chilean sea bass standing out, paired with a flavorful sauce that complemented the fish without overpowering it. The lamb with gnocchi was another popular choice, offering a hearty and well-balanced dish with tender meat and pillowy gnocchi that absorbed the rich sauce. The burgers were cooked to order and made a reliable option for something more casual, arriving juicy and well assembled. For drinks and appetizers, the calamari, burrata, and flatbreads were good options to share, each coming out fresh and well seasoned. The bar program was another highlight, with a wide selection of craft beers, whiskey, and classic cocktails that were well prepared and paired naturally with the food. Service was friendly and welcoming, with staff happy to make recommendations and accommodate different group sizes. While some visits could experience slower service during busy periods, the overall experience tended to be attentive, and the team worked to create a comfortable atmosphere for both families and larger groups. The pacing of the meal stayed steady, and the food came out without much delay. Parking is available in a small lot, though it could fill up during peak dining hours, and the restaurant's location near shopping on Needham Street made it a convenient stop before or after running errands. Overall, District 118 Kitchen & Bar is a solid choice for anyone looking for elevated pub fare in a relaxed setting. The combination of quality food, a strong drink selection, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it equally enjoyable for a casual lunch, dinner with family, or an evening out with friends.

All of the sish was cooked well and was tender and juicy. However it did not appear to be cooked in a Paella pan so you didn't get some of those bites of crispy rice and the seasoning was off it had no saffron or tomatoes like I am used to. It was more like a plain rice that they added peas, carrots, and red pepper. Just didn't taste like any form of the paella that I have eaten previously.
